Bloody Chariot left and Ling Tian just slumped into the chair again and sighed.
"Do you think I don’t want him to stop? Its just that you guys pushed him too far and he is acting up."
He muttered to himself and sent a few orders.
"Tell our elders to keep an eye on Dion as well. As long as something happens to him, we should know and we should act fast before the Zeus academy. If we can free him before something happens, we could salvage the situation."
His orders were passed, people moved and everything was set.
Even the night before the approaching deadline, there was no activity around Dion.
But the moment the deadline was over. The screens changed the images.
Each screen was split into two. Now, instead of just Elder Pith, even Dion is getting slaughtered in various ways. Both images played in tandem, showcasing Sam’s cruelty and the effectiveness of his torture.
He didn’t make any announcement for over an hour. He let the digest the meaning of this.
Ling Tian came out of the academy. Stood on the street as he looked at the hovering projection in the sky.
He felt a bit desperate for some reason. More than anyone else in the academy realm, he was the one who liked and believed Sam. No one trusted Sam’s capabilities like Ling Tian did. But even he didn’t expect Sam to succeed in capturing Dion.

He muttered to himself and made a decision. He sent for Dove, who came back as fast as she could.
"Give my orders to everyone and I want you to make sure these are excuted for fourth grade.
From this moment on, assume that every other academy is an enemy for us and be cautious. Terminate all the partnerships. Leave amicably if possible and if they try to extort you, give in.
But at all costs, make sure that everyone is protected and secure.
If they are not in the conquest realms, they should be in the academy. And even in the conquest realms, avoid going solo unless it is absolutely necessary."
Dove was confused. It was very unlike Gambler academy to restrict the movements of the students.

"You are not going to intervene then?"

Dove nodded, even though a bit hesitant she still gave the orders.
Meanwhile Bloody Chariot had a completely different reaction compared to Ling Tian. He immediately left the academy and flew to the Hub.
He was about to kick the door down, but there was a slight prick in his own soul. The soul contract was about to react. He gritted his teeth and was on the verge of risking it all.

Because the third candidate in Sam’s list is from a different academy.
He didn’t target another one from the Zeus academy. This one was from Hephaestus academy. Bloody Chariot would have definitely broke open the Hub if it was another candidate from the Zeus academy. And Sam kinda knew that.
That’s the reason why he didn’t pick someone from Zeus academy immediately.
Anyway, its not like he had a shortage of candidates. He had dozens of them from each academy.
Sam thought the academies will waver. They would actually be willing to give up people if he pushed them hard enough.
And he really wanted them to do that. Because the moment they gave up the instructors and elders the academies will lose all the credibility.
That would do a lot more damage, that too self-inflected, to the academies than anything else he could do.
But too bad, it didn’t happen.
They were stubborn and they just increased the searches.
Sam even got some interesting information. The Deans of the academies like the Thor academy, Hel academy, etc... you know the academies that belong to the gods that were in the game as well... they even approached the other players to get some info on Sam.
Of course, they didn’t directly act out in the open and they didn’t ask blatantly about where Sam’s friends of people would be... They just wanted to get some hints...
But the players didn’t budge.
Not even Dayus dared to say a word. He knew better than anyone what Sam would do if he leaked the info.
He is alright with having his own plots against Sam, but he didn’t have enough guts to ruin Sam’s plan directly. Particularly, when that plan is not directly impact him.
