Chapter 2342: Snakes and a Worm

Chapter 2342: Snakes and a Worm

*BAM* *BAM* *BAM*

The snakes kept on trying to break the dome, but they are not strong enough. They are breaking their own skulls instead and had to regenerate back to their original states before trying again.

Sam activated the final phase of the formation.

By now, the lake is devoid of any of that black water. The clouds created by steaming it were condensed and the formation used them as a carrier for the lightning. The lightning struck down on the snakes, breaking their skeletons continuously.

The snakes are breaking and getting back together repeatedly.

Right in front of Sam's eyes, the first snake which already had red colored energy, went through another transformation. The energy around it became orange, its skeleton also seemed to have under went a transformation.

Now, even when its body is broken, it was able to move and attack while regenerating.

That restriction is gone. The second snake's energy has turned to red and now a third snake appeared.

The third snake is too weak in front of the lightning onslaught and their gigantic statures already filled the whole lake. They are now crashing against each other with the slightest movement, except for when they were standing up on their tails and hitting vertically upwards.

Sam also noticed that the third snake is way more durable compared to the second and the second compared to the first.

However, the third snake is changing its color faster, as if to keep up the pace with the second and the first.

Simply put, the first creature and the second one has to be broken and regenerated for them to gain a certain speed in changing color, but the third one doesn't. Even if it is not broken, as long as the hit is significant, its speed is increasing.

Crow came to stand beside Sam watching the creatures inside.

"Are you speeding up the process of making this place much more dangerous?"

"Yes, what did you think when I said I wanted to use the surroundings? I am not just going to lure some creatures to the enemy's place and make them fight each other. That is fucking boring.

This one the other hand, makes things a lot more interesting."

Sam said with a faint smile.

His ears perked up and he said.

"I told you to keep a watch on that side."

Crow frowned and turned around. Far away in that direction, he could see someone. A person

is running towards them, with injuries all over his body. Behind him two creatures are following.

Behind them, there are two more creatures which are slower than the first two. The competitor is from Hel academy and the creatures behind him are two types. The Gorillas and Rhinos. The first two are in red stage and the second two are still in the white stage.

The competitor is very exhausted, he is burning every bit of his strength to escape and then he sensed Sam and Crow who are looking at him. His first instinct is fear. He knew what Sam did to his academy' solo team.

At first he felt a bit happy because, since most of the solo team is dead, he managed to get in to the team combat. Otherwise, he wouldn't be worthy of getting in at all. But now, he is regretting it.

As soon as he came here, he was faced with that Rhino skeleton that charged at him. He barely dodged and fought back.

However, while he was still dealing with that Rhino, he saw another candidate who is running from the Gorilla skeleton.

Even though it looked like running, he is actually luring the gorilla skeleton to find a different candidate. However, both these candidates crossed paths and they entered a deadlock.

Neither of them let the others escape and while dealing with the skeletal creatures they fought with each other.

Once the Hel candidate won, he realized that these creatures multiplied. This made his throat go dry.

He realized his mistake and ran towards a random direction, in which Sam and Crow are staying. Sam guessed most of what happened here and turned to crow.

"It seems like we don't get much action here. If you want, you can deal with that guy and come back. You can use the transference token to get back to the rendezvous."

Sam disappeared after saying that.

Crow smiled and became excited. He took both of his daggers out and turned into a flash. He dashed towards the opponent at the front who got ready to meet him. He conjured a plan in his head. Just make sure to hit crow with one big move and make him fall down.

The creatures will focus on him, while he will escape.

A bit farfetching even in his head, but he is happy with at the moment.

He held his sword and lightning energy conjured over it. He jumped over and tried to meet Crow's move. However, at the last moment, Crow slid down on the ground, his speed increased and his daggers swung at the ankles of the opponent.

*SLASH*

With a unified slash, both of his ankles were cut down, making the opponent fall down. Then Crow kicked the ground, rose into the air and kicked the Gorilla that was coming at him. He cracked its skull and reached a decent altitude, before he whipped out the transference token. Before the second gorilla could attack him, he disappeared from there.

The opponent fell down and crashed into the ground. Not able to get up. The Rhino reached him first and it started its onslaught.

Soon, the candidate is done for. The creatures halted and they roamed around in that area. They didn't go back to their point of origin. They didn't attack each other. The four creatures just roamed around like normal.

Sam and Crow are back at the rendezvous.

Sam closed his eyes to do a quick review of everything. Apart from the two people they helped kill, there are four more deaths in this short while. And from the way things are there are at least two more on the way.

Sam narrowed down on the current location of another Zeus academy student.

He opened his eyes and said.

"Let's go. I am sure, you will get to see some action this time..." Sam explained the plan.

Both of them disappeared from there and reappeared at a marker. From there, they got separated and moved in different directions. Within two minutes, Crow saw his new

opponent.

A Zeus academy student is fighting with what looked like a skeleton of a snake. However, it didn't have a snake head. Instead, both ends are circular and it looked more like a large

skeletal tube.

It is digging through the ground and attacking the opponent with sudden movements. It couldn't control the soil to attack him, but it did manage to cover up its traces as soon as it went into the ground.

The candidate is not having a bad time. He is still in a decent shape and since he is levitating, he is able to dodge the worm attacks efficiently. However, he was unable to escape the worm. The current location is actually a long way from the original spot he appeared in. This worm is a lot faster as it moved through the soil. He even used a transference token to cover a large distance. However, after around fifteen minutes, he was still caught by the worm.

He couldn't understand how to get away from this.

So, right now he is fighting with it.

The only good news is that he can defend it from the air and doesn't have to worry too much.

At that moment, he sensed the spatial fluctuation nearby and saw Crow appear.

Crow took out his daggers with a grin and immediately jumped into action.

*BANG* *BANG*

The daggers met with the opponent's sword as they tangled in the air. The clash was intense from the start. Crow was obviously at a very slight disadvantage because of the cultivation level difference. However, his mobility is superior.

He managed use the worm's movements to his advantage and kept the opponent engaged. Soon the opponent realized something. The other party which is Crow is not decisive. He is not making any risky moves and only kept him tangled. He is exhausting him. This made him feel extremely cautious.

At that moment, a few hundred meters away from them, Sam is standing on a large rock. He is looking down at the ground, particularly at a specific patch.

This patch of soil at the moment is burning and on the verge of boiling. With that patch of

soil, a young woman is running around trying to get out. However, she was unable to do so, because the patch moved along with her.

Whenever she tried to fly away, she was slammed down by an invisible force that forced her

stay down.

Her bones are broken, no matter the medicine and potions, she is unable to heal and her

whole body is corrupted with fire elemental energy.

It is only a matter of minutes before she died.

And Sam is waiting for that moment.
