Chapter 1801 - 1801 Presentation
1801 Presentation
Sam and Lucifer discussed a few details.
“You sure are gutsier than I imagined. I really like it.”
Lucifer said with a smile before he disappeared from that spot. The deal that Sam discussed and the condition he added are both very enticing to him. Of course, he doesn’t get much out of it. All he would get is entertainment.
But that is more than enough.
After Lucifer disappeared, Sam looked at Dayus who was in the corner. He looked at Sam dreadfully. It seems like since he is also a player, Lucifer didn’t freeze him up with the rest of the surroundings. So, he heard everything that both Sam and Lucifer discussed.
“Are you mad? Do you know what you have done? Do you really think that you are such an invincible person?”
Sam didn’t reply to his question, the instant he coldly smiled and said.
“Your task ends here. You cannot participate in this task anymore. The best course of action right now for you is to give up and leave.”
Dayus gritted his teeth in anger.
.....
“I don’t want to leave.
You can just let me go from here and I will fight my own battle. I can understand that you were angry and anxious because your students were in danger. That is the reason, I didn’t resist. But now, it’s all resolved. Let’s go our separate ways.”
“Dayus, when did you grow a pair? You didn’t resist because you already knew my situation? Do I look like a fucking idiot to you?
You and I both know you couldn’t have jack shit even if you resisted. That is the reason why you were put. Just shut your trap and leave. Or I will play with so hard that you will cry whenever you remember my name.”
Dayus is unwilling. He didn’t want to leave. But looking at Sam’s expression, he knew that he didn’t have much of a chance.
“Okay, I will leave.”
He was about to take out a token that could let him give up. At least that is what Sam thought he is doing, but the very next moment, Dayus took out a transference token to escape. He felt the spatial energy envelop him.
He almost disappeared from the spot. That familiar darkness blinded even his eyes, but when he opened his eyes again, he was shocked.
He is still in the same temple.
Sam looked at him with his arms crossed.
“It is my mistake to give you a chance. I know you will pull off something like this.”
Sam took out a seal and placed it on him. Resistance was futile. After placing him under control. Once again Sam dragged him out as he did before. He went to Lucifer’s cave where Maya is waiting and threw Dayus to a corner.
“Maya, things have changed a bit. Our location will be revealed to the clan heads in a while. We will be constantly moving from now on. We will not be staying in the same place.”
“Are we moving away now?”
Maya asked in a worried tone. She didn’t doubt Sam’s words. She is actually surprised that the clans didn’t already find out their location.
“No. Not immediately. There are still three hours before they know about our location and it will take around an hour for them to figure out a way in because I sealed the previous route completely. So, we still have four hours here and let me leave them a present here.
From now on, it would be much more straightforward and all our war. I will start with some offense myself.”
As he spoke, he turned to Dayus.
“We are going to leave him here along with the final presentation. Stay away from him. When he is desperate he can stoop to any level.”
Maya nodded and went as far away from Dayus as possible.
She even looked at him cautiously as she huddled with her kids. It is almost like Dayus is the kidnapper and he is forcefully keeping Maya and her children there.
Sam meanwhile moved around the cave tunnels. Not only did he move around and set up some traps a lot of his puppets were assigned to set up the traps. For three hours, he set up so many formations at a rapid pace.
At that moment, Sam suddenly got a thought injected into his head out of nowhere.
The news of their location is revealed and conveniently out of the five clans that the news went to, four of them are the clans that Sam already messed with.
Shijin’s clan, Karn’s clan, Magman Clan, and finally the clan that Dayus was protecting. All of them were there.
Sam couldn’t help but smile at this.
The next step of the plan was formulated in his mind. He took out an inscription pen and started drawing in the cave. After half an hour he is done. In the middle cave, there is a small circle now. It could barely fit one person.
Sam dragged Dayus there and made him lie down in that circle. He wanted to turn around and leave, but Dayus angrily called him.
“Sam, you better let go of me. This time I was caught off guard and you managed to capture me. Since you can’t kill me now, it is better to make amends. I can forget this matter has ever happened.
If not, after we are done here, I will tear down your organization. I might not be a match for you in the fight, but what about Philip, do you think I can’t defeat him? What about Jack and Watt? What about all the soldiers and fighters working for you thinking that you are some sort of saint?
Just like how you are ruining the Olympian faith in different realms, I will ruin in your name. Let’s see if your subordinates will be able to stand that test of loyalty.”
Sam frowned and looked at Dayus.
He felt like Dayus’ brain cells were reduced by a large margin now. After all, this is the worst time for Dayus to spit out any of these curses. He should have just begged Sam to release him or he should have just bided his time and escaped.
“Are you an idiot? Don’t tell me, hanging off my hoverboard made you stupid.”
Dayus’ face turned red in anger.
“Who are you calling stupid? I have thought things over, the worst you can do to me right now is beat me up. I will definitely live to see it another day. So, why should I really be scared? You are going to torture me? I could just escape by giving up this round and I can once again take it out on your subordinates.
I won’t even fucking care. I will be on the run. You might be able to catch most of the people if you put your mind to it, but don’t forget that I am also a player.”
Sam looked at Dayus and took a deep breath before a cruel glint appeared in his eyes.
“Just what do you think of yourselves Dayus? As I said before, the only reason you are alive today is that I wanted to use you like the pawn you are. How dare you threaten me like this.
Just where does your pride come from?
I beat the crap out of your so many times. I came out as a winner in every trap you set up. I am currently a war with the gods that are behind you. Do you even understand the concept of that? My forces are erasing the faith of your gods, which is one of their major sources of strength.
Just what do you have that made you think that we are on terms where you could threaten me? Just tell me.”
Sam slowly walked towards him as he spoke.
Dayus is a bit scared. He suddenly regretted threatening Sam, he should have just asked Sam to remove the restriction so that he could quit.
But when he realized that his only option seemed to be quitting and when he saw Sam directly making a deal with the devil himself just to save his students, he felt that he could use it.
After all, he is also a player and he felt that Sam would be at least a bit wary of him.
But what he didn’t understand is, the only thing Sam is wary of is the annoyance Dayus usually brings with his dirty play.
Most of the time he is caught off guard by Dayus because Sam didn’t really have enough free time to keep Dayus and his ploys in mind. In his eyes, they are annoying and time-consuming but not at all difficult to deal with.
“you know I would have just left you here and minded my own business, but your annoying threat reminded me of something.
I am still pissed at Olympian gods and you are actually Zeus’ representative. If Zeus can send people that are dozens of times stronger to fight my students, then it wouldn’t be that unfair if a person of the same cultivation level takes the anger out on you does it?”
Sam said and he raised his index finger which glowed with laser light. He grinned viciously and started writing on Dayus’ chest.
