Chapter 373 - 373: Regalon Spirit Armament
Not thinking about the future further, Almond closed his eyes, tweaking his arsenal and waiting for the event.
He wanted to get more powerful, and being amidst this many powerhouses and observing them was a perfect chance to improve himself, not to mention the incoming Griminion Tide which was basically the best resource for him and other Regalons.
‘I’ll have to finetune my Regalon Spirit Armament. It’s been a month since I worked on it.’
Almond’s consciousness drifted into his source space and towards his Bloodline source, which was connected to his body’s first Geno Gate, slotted in.
[Regalon Spirit Armament—Velqueris]
-Spirits in Feeding: [3452]
-Full Armament (Stage 3):
—> Body, Mental, and Soul Constitution increased based on the spirits fed, up to 300%.
-Armament Weapon:
—> Lonveril, the Golden Void Blade.
-Regalon Spirit Engravings [3/4]:
1. Kraiton the Oscillation Shot—The next projectile attack’s speed is calculated twice and boosts the attack with a final kinetic surge before impacting anything.
2. Syrelune’s Bloom—Instantly absorb energies within a 100-meter radius and convert them into Spirit Essence, used to empower an Ability’s effectiveness depending on the amount of Spirit Essence consumed.
3. Fleeting Taigaroth Phase—Your physical body can become 100 times bigger or 100 times smaller for 1 minute.
4. —
‘Hmmm, I emptied one, but I don’t need Fleeting Tagaroth Phase anymore. It’s from a weak Immortal Emperor and wasn’t set up properly.’
Almond began fine-tuning his Regalon Spirit Engravings.
Regalon Spirit Armament was like an organ for Regalons, a sack, a source of power that was growable.
Regalons had the ability to digest a killed being and transform it into a Spirit using the passive power of their Bloodline—Regalon Pool, and these Spirits they gained could be used to create their Full Armament, Armament Weapon, and slot in the Regalon Spirit Engravings.
All of those required Spirits that they killed themselves. They couldn’t give each other Spirits as their Armaments would reject Spirits made from living beings digested by another person.
One had to digest a being within their Regalon Pool to create a Spirit that could resonate with their arsenal of powers, so a Spirit resulting from Regalon A’s digestion wouldn’t work for Regalon B.
Of course, Almond was an exception as he could give Spirits and nobody’s Armaments would reject it, but he never did that as getting strong on their own with their effort was the central principle in Almond’s world.
Everyone would get resources and help, but how to use and utilize them to get strong depended on their hard work and effort.
Time passed as Almond improved his combat arsenal, Admiral Rudra focused on creating and shaping his third Regalon Spirit Engraving, while Lily was making her second Conceptual Power into an Ability Tree.
Unlike Almond’s Spirit Animation he learned from his Primary Class, Lily completely abandoned her Primary Class in a sense.
Her first Conceptual Power was Prade of Dreadspire Kingdom, which turned into an Ability Tree.
But her second Conceptual Power was only slightly related to her S-rank Phantom Thief class. Instead, it was majorily derived from her own experience that catalyzed four months ago, which was why she only had one Ability Tree.
Old monsters had more experience and profound understandings, making it easier for them to eventually learn Conceptual Powers and turn them into Ability Trees. All old monsters had at least two Ability Trees already while some had three.
But Lily’s first Ability Tree was developed greatly as her entire focus was on it since the beginning, and it was also one of the most powerful Ability Trees alongside Almond.
And now, she was on her way to acquiring her second Ability Tree, stemming from the conceptual power known as…Axiom of Hollow Splender.
This Conceptual Power was born from the feeling of hollowness that Almond’s absence had given her, and how she fought with it when it became bigger after Almond returned, sapping her away and giving her doubts about whether she would be able to stand by Almond’s side forever.
But she stuck to her belief and desire with her all and emerged victorious.
Nobody knew what direction Lily’s combat power would take once she awakened her second Ability Tree, but one thing was for sure. She would be very close to Almond’s level once she awakened it.
…
Time passed and when only ten hours remained until the Griminion Tide’s arrival, something suddenly happened that shook the entire planet.
A tear appeared in the sky right above Planet Gezero from which roughly fifty presences rapidly arrived.
The tear in the sky was over a hundred kilometers in length!
As those powerhouses, among which were over ten Supreme Emperors, rapidly descended on the planet, the tear in the sky suddenly flickered with an intense red glow, painting everything red and robbing other colors.
Almond and Admiral Rudra looked up while Lily was completely shut within Sylvia’s Warden Grove, so she stayed the same.
But everyone else was startled at this sudden phenomenon.
When they looked at the crack closely, they saw an eye with a vertical pupil covering the whole tear that was a hundred kilometers long, and the eye still didn’t look full!
‘What the fuck?’ Almond felt profound fear seeping into him as he saw that eye.
“Is that Void Titan Leviathan?” Admiral Rudra gulped. “Can anyone even hope to scratch it? It’s pure terror.”
“But Grimworld’s laws have sealed it shut,” Almond wryly smiled. “It tried to unleash power inside the cosmos, but nothing happened to us except for this fancy lighting effect.”
The redness also vanished as colors returned to normal after two seconds. The space tear began healing.
Suddenly remembering something, Almond laughed, “Big D had mentioned creatures like Void Titan Leviathan that Hollowstar could use. Although they are not from Grimworld, they are still like weak worms compared to top powerhouses in the third layer of Grimworld.”
“So yeah,” Almond grinned. “Eventually, we will be able to beat that thing to death easily.”
“Mhmm, and it looks like reinforcement has arrived,” Admiral Rudra said. “Quite a lot at that.”
“The more the better,” Almond shrugged. “Let’s continue training. Only ten hours left until the tide reaches here.”
…
The top Supreme Emperors were watching the cosmos and heaved a sigh.
Big D was among them as he said, “We’ve sent enough forces, so they should be fine, not to mention I know someone very capable there. Now let’s erase those pests so they don’t interfere further.”
