Re-Awakening: I Ascend with a Legendary class

Chapter 305 End of the Academy's Newbie Survival Event

*Swoosh*

The knife pierced through Almond’s head. In the next moment, Almond scattered away.

‘What?!’ Karven’s eyes popped out.

Suddenly, he saw a flash of spiral below him and danger bells ringing as he immediately reacted by detonating his hammer and directing its self-destruct explosion behind him, where Almond had appeared like a ghost with his sword.

His sword’s blade stormed with a dreamy yet thick silvery-white stream of energy filled with colorful, mainly golden sparks of nanoblades.

The sword cut through the explosion and whipped its explosive energy away before going for Karven’s neck.

‘Not you ain’t!’ Karven’s knife burst with flames, darker than the rest as his eyes also glowed and veins all over his body shone.

However, Almond vanished while he was swinging sword motion, appearing to his right side with continued motion, causing Karven’s pupils to shrink.

‘What the fuck?’

*Slash!*

Karven appeared to have a defensive coating over his body as strange patterns flickered into existence all over his body, but they couldn’t stop Almond’s attack even for a second.

The slash tore through from Karven’s shoulder to his waist, his body hanging by a bit of flesh as he was almost split into two.

‘Fucking hell!’ Karven was shocked to his core. ‘He broke my Bloodline barrier…fuck, fuck, fuck- Arghh, this fucking hurts!’

‘But I can’t fucking lose my mind. Gotta stay strong.’

Almond’s sword, which had a strange phenomenon, also broke and shattered after that attack while his body was painted with red as blood oozed out from all of his pores.

‘Heal me.’

Some Prana batteries and Meliora used their healing abilities quickly.

“How?” Karven asked, his eyes dimming. ‘Fuck, I am out of energy. That last one drained everything.’

“I assumed you could enter Hyper Plane, so I had to let you use it first before using my main move.” Almond looked at the sword’s handle. “But it was too much for this sword and my body, it seems.”

Looking at Karven, Almond said, “Heal him.”

Some of the Prana Batteries used their abilities and healed Karven.

Karven saw his wounds healing and stretched his arms and neck. “Well, thanks for this. My grandpa won’t need to make a new body now, haha. But tell me, what was that crazy attack that destroyed my defense?”

“That’s the new move.” Almond faintly smiled. “You thought I couldn’t see that strange passive ability that defended your body? I needed a strong attack to go past it, but before that, I had to land that attack on you.”

“And you succeeded,” Karven wryly smiled. “Your illusion clones fucked me. You deliberately made one a bit different, more realistic, and hid yourself with your space, huh?”

Almond smiled. “My illusion clones can replicate me perfectly to the smallest part of my body and aura.”

“And well, about how I dodged that last knife attack, I used an ability which I initially didn’t want to use to gain direct advantage, but thanks to limiting myself like that, I improved in how to use it and found new uses.”

“What ability?” Karven frowned, remembering his knife attack. “I didn’t feel anything else, nor did I see you using any sequence.”

“Wait, I think I slowed down a bit, or rather the knife… but how?” Karven rubbed his temples but couldn’t figure it out.

“Not telling you.” Almond began using Prana to construct another Shattering Sky Sword Solvituris since the first one shattered.

As for how Almond dodged that knife attack. He simply Divine Divider’s Harvest, which had significantly improved in terms of ‘harvesting’.

What he did was harvest that knife’s speed, apply it to himself, and use Spiral Edge’s power to reposition himself. Almond had completely figured out how Spiral Edge intent worked, so he could use it better in his combat now.

In simple words, as long as he was swinging his sword, he could flow through the spiral he visions in his mind and superimpose in the battlefield with speed relative to his attack speed and enhance his attack based on his speed.

It was a limited and fixed teleport, but it was more like moving instantly around the spiral while applying that speed to himself and his attack, and his flowing speed scaled with the speed and sharpness of his attack, while his attack was boosted in relative to top speed of flow he achieve during repositioning.

And one more thing. In whatever spiral-patterned things he created, he could apply the effect of Spiral Edge intent in them, just like he did in his new attack ability that tore through Karven’s defense.

Intents were pure powers manifested by the power of one’s thoughts. Its rules and laws were given by the user’s thoughts and only applied to the user.

And how one used their intents to bolster their abilities depended on one’s capabilities and creativity.

“Well, even if you won’t tell me, I’ll figure it out later,” Karven said as saw a whirling phenomenon in front of the design of a sword. “And since you won, I’ll name that attack ability.”

“If it isn’t good, I am not acknowledging it,” Almond nonchalantly said as he finished the design and infused it with streams of different elemental energies as they reacted before sending it and a spirit into the whirlpool.

“I got it,” Karven said with a grin. “You know, that defensive bloodline ability was modified and improved. It’s made with 110,000 Prana and stays passively until I get hurt, and trust me, it’s very tough.”

“Nobody in the newbie could tear through it like you did, and from what I saw, that storm around your sword was crazy. Something was happening inside with elements, your intent, and whatever assets you cooked. The moment it struck me, the storm dispersed and converged into a slick blade, but I heard it,” Karven grinned. “I heard because my Intent is called Combust Point.”

“You triggered micro-explosions in tiny nano-glass or crystals of your elements, and somehow, by using some kind of asset, you converted that explosive power into sharpness. I think the asset uses the power of your Spiral Edge intent based on what you said. Was that why a storm was weaving around your blade? Storm is a kind of spiral after all.’

Karven rubbed his chin. “Spiral Edge…sounds cool, but complicated. It’s not as simple as my Combust Point.”

“You finished analyzing, so what’s the name?” Almond crossed his arms, his eyes judging.

Karven laughed and said, “How about…Prismatic Storm Slash?” Discover stories at My Virtual Library Empire

“Prismatic Storm Slash…” Almond muttered and nodded with a faint smile. “Alright, approved.”

At that, the countdown also hit zero as every surviving participant received a notification.

[Congratulations. You all have successfully endured till the end of this survival event. You will exit in five seconds.]

“Congrats, boss!”

“Damn, that was an awesome fight.”

“Their speeds are crazy. Meanwhile, I can’t even achieve half of the speed they use.”

Prana Batteries began talking as they flew towards Almond and Karven.

“Hey, I heard you are forming a faction. Is that true?” Karven asked.

“Yeah,” Almond nodded. “I might as well form given the followers I have.”

“Followers or captives?”

“Same thing.”

Karven laughed. “Alright, I’ll join your faction. I feel like I’ll have more fun with you stomping others in the academy.”

Almond shrugged. “Suit yourself.”
