Chapter 1546: You’re Practically Courting Death

Benjamin Shaw was driving back to the company and was about to get out of the car when he suddenly noticed a phone left on the back seat. He had seen that phone before; it belonged to Anthony.

He didn’t get out of the car, and instead, he turned the car around and headed towards the hotel where they were staying.

Unexpectedly, from a distance, he saw Alice Turner struggling with a woman at the hotel entrance. Without bothering to take the phone that was left on the back seat, he immediately opened the car door and got out.

He strode towards the hotel entrance, only to see the woman that had been kicked to the ground by her getting up. After she got up, she reached into her pocket and pulled out a shiny, long object.

Benjamin looked closely and saw that the woman had pulled out a sharp knife from her pocket, and then she raised the knife and charged towards Alice Turner. He gasped in cold air.

He quickly switched from walking to running, intending to stop the woman as she stabbed at Alice Turner, but he didn’t make it in time.

Seeing the sharp knife about to stab into her back, he dashed forward in one leap to block the knife.

The sharp knife in the woman’s hand directly lodged into Benjamin Shaw’s abdomen. The pain emanating from his abdomen made his footing a bit unsteady, causing his body to wobble and fall backward.

At this moment, hearing the commotion, Alice Turner turned around, and at the instant she turned, he wobbled and fell onto her.

Because the situation occurred too suddenly, she, being unprepared, couldn’t withstand his weight, and they both fell to the ground together.

She was underneath, and he was on top, turning her into a human cushion for him.

The woman, already furious for failing to stab Alice Turner, was filled with rage. She viciously kicked Benjamin Shaw’s injured abdomen and kept shouting as she kicked.

Alice Turner didn’t notice Benjamin Shaw’s abdominal injury, but she could sense something was wrong with him, as the cold sweat from his forehead dripped onto her cheek.

"Are you crazy? Stop!" She was being crushed under him, so her voice was strained and lacked the force she had earlier.

Upon hearing Alice Turner’s voice, the woman stopped immediately, cast a vicious glance at her, and moved towards her head.

"Right, it’s you who should be beaten." The woman lifted her foot and aimed a kick at Alice Turner’s head.

In a critical moment, Benjamin Shaw, enduring the intense pain in his abdomen, raised his hand to catch the woman’s foot aimed at her, saying, "Woman! You are simply courting death."

Even though he was lying down and his abdomen was injured, making some movements difficult.

He wanted to flip the woman to the ground, but as soon as his wrist started to turn, the woman realized what he was about to do, lifting her other foot to kick away his hand gripping her.

"Since you are so willing to die for her, I’ll grant you that today." The woman was kicking alternately with both feet, specifically aiming at Benjamin Shaw’s head.

Seeing this situation, Alice Turner was both furious and anxious, "Benjamin Shaw! Get up quickly, this woman is simply too vicious."

While speaking, she also reached out to push him off her body.

She thought that after hearing her words, he would get up by himself, but no matter how much she pushed, he didn’t move.
