Chapter 1515: I Have Nothing to Do with Him

  • Next Chapter

After dinner, Thomas Fisher and Alice Turner went straight back to the hotel.

Once they were back, he wanted to go sit in her room for a while, but she politely turned him down.

"Sit for a while"—as if she believed he really just wanted to sit.

"Go sit in your own room, I’m going to find Jacob and pour my heart out." Alice Turner pulled Thomas Fisher over to the door of the room opposite hers, patted his arm, then headed toward Anthony’s room.

Watching her figure move away from him, Thomas Fisher helplessly curled his lips, but he didn’t go after her, nor did he say anything to stop her from going to someone else.

He stood at the door of his own room, silently watching her, watching her knock on someone else’s door, watching her walk into someone else’s room.

"Go back and get some rest."

Alice Turner knew the whole time that Thomas Fisher was staring at her. The moment she stepped inside, she turned back and waved at him, urging him to hurry up and go to his room to rest.

Seeing Alice Turner’s gesture, Anthony stuck his head out to look into the hallway, and only then did he realize Thomas Fisher was standing there too.

His face went dark in an instant. He reached out, yanked her into his room, then slammed the door shut.

Alice Turner was completely unprepared. Anthony’s sudden tug made her lose her balance for a second—she staggered and almost fell to the floor.

In a panic, she grabbed the table next to her, and only then managed not to fall.

When Anthony closed the door and turned back into the room, he finally noticed that something was off with Alice Turner, and instantly realized it was his own actions that caused it.

He strode over quickly, reaching out to steady her, looking apologetic. "Sis! I’m sorry! I didn’t mean it. Are you okay?"

Anthony looked Alice Turner up and down to see if his reckless move had hurt her anywhere.

"I’m not that fragile. With your little bit of strength, you can’t hurt me." Alice Turner brushed his hand off her arm and walked further inside. Like she was walking into her own territory, she casually went over and sat down on the sofa.

Seeing that, Anthony immediately followed and sat down next to her. "Sis! You really okay?"

As he asked, he stared at her, still worried.

"I’m fine, I’m fine, totally fine." Alice Turner tapped Anthony’s forehead with her right index finger, then gave him a reassuring smile. That was her way of telling him she was perfectly all right.

Anthony carefully studied Alice Turner. Once he was sure she truly was fine, he finally relaxed completely. "If something really happened to you because of me, I’d have no way to explain it to your ex-husband."

As soon as he said that, the smile on Alice Turner’s face froze. "Explain what to him? There’s nothing between us anymore."

This guy had really burrowed himself into a dead end, insisting on tying her to that Shaw man.

She had no desire whatsoever to have any more entanglements with that man named Shaw. That would only make Thomas misunderstand, and make his family misunderstand too.

That was the last situation she wanted to see.

"How is there nothing between you? You’re Ex-Husband’s ex-wife, and he’s still deeply in love with you. You can’t let him down." Anthony looked at Alice Turner as if she really was exactly what he said—someone who had let Benjamin Shaw down.

Hearing Anthony say that, Alice Turner let out a long sigh. It looked like she had to make some things clear to him right away, or he’d keep on pestering her like this.

She had to let him know about the emotional mess between the three of them.
