Chapter 1478: It’s Happily Decided Then

Anthony’s tone was firm yet playful, as if he’d latched onto Benjamin Shaw, giving Benjamin no chance to object before abruptly hanging up.

"Why... why are you all looking at me like that?" After hanging up, Anthony realized the other four were staring at him wide-eyed. What’s going on with these four? Why are they looking at him so intensely?

Charlotte Shaw really wanted to pat Anthony’s shoulder and say: Kid! You’re awesome! Sis! Thanks!

But considering the consequences, she quickly controlled the urge to slap someone’s back.

"You’re just too handsome, we were all stunned." Charlotte glanced at the other three and smiled at Anthony.

This guy seemed to genuinely support and appreciate her brother, openly opposing her brother’s rival. She definitely had to seize this promising alliance.

Anthony ran his hand through his bangs, chuckling smugly, "Charlotte, you’ve got quite the eye for things. I’ll treat you to a feast later."

As he said the last sentence, he glanced at Thomas Fisher with a cool smirk.

"It should be me treating you to a feast." Charlotte was thinking of ways to get closer to Anthony, and to her surprise, he had proactively invited her to dinner, perfectly fitting her wish. She reflexively responded.

Her voice carried a slight tremor from sheer excitement.

Alice Turner and Thomas Fisher were seated beside Charlotte Shaw, and they noticed the peculiarity in Charlotte’s tone the most.

Both had been observing the interaction between Anthony and Charlotte Shaw, although neither commented on it.

"Charlotte! Don’t be polite with me, I’m the guy here, how could I let you, a girl, treat me?" Anthony patted his chest, making his final decision, "I’ll treat, don’t fight me on this."

No matter what, he was determined to drag Alice to dinner with her ex and the ex’s sister; he just couldn’t let that annoying guy steal Alice away.

Charlotte wanted to argue a bit more, but seeing Anthony’s resolute attitude, she let go of the idea, changing her words as a result, "Alright, this time you treat, next time it’s on me."

This way, they could have more interactions and hopefully become familiar with each other sooner, facilitating further moves down the line.

"That’s settled then, let’s enjoy a pleasant decision." Anthony didn’t stand on ceremony, readily accepting Charlotte’s proposal.

Watching Charlotte and Anthony converse so amicably, Thomas Fisher, Alice Turner, and Grace Young found themselves as silent onlookers.

Everything around was abnormally quiet. Anthony was the first to sense it, shifting his gaze away from Charlotte. It was then he noticed that Thomas Fisher and the other two were watching him and Charlotte.

"Let’s all go for a feast later." Anthony really wanted to add, excluding Thomas Fisher, but he could envision the situation if he said so.

At that moment, Alice would definitely be dragged away by that annoying guy. He couldn’t bear to see that happen.

Let that annoying guy come along too, he would think of another plan later.

Thomas Fisher glanced at Anthony then nonchalantly looked away.

"I’ve promised my parents that I’ll go home for lunch with Thomas. You and Grace go sign the contract." Alice Turner declined Anthony’s invitation to dinner.
