Raising Yanderes to save the world
Chapter 335: Ch 334: The Dunegon
The presence of mana was dense in the air, and it was rising even faster. It was a phenomenon he had not seen before, but Kael could instinctively tell that this world was changing rapidly.
And not only that, but it was changing in a way that he had not seen before.
"It’s as if the very fabric of this world is being torn apart. I have never even heard of something like this being possible in theory."
And yet, it felt natural.
The world magic was incredible, and it was cast in a manner that left even Kael in awe.
There was no way a human could cast something like this. The only one who could was a god. But why would a god do this to his peaceful world?
"I should go and check the source of this problem myself."
There was a rip in the world’s fabric, and it connected to a pocket dimension not too far away. Kael decided he would start his investigation with that rift.
He quickly cast a defensive barrier spell around his greenhouse before he headed out.
Due to the sudden rise in mana, casting spells had become so much easier. He could use as much power as he needed to without overexerting himself. It was both a blessing and a curse at the same time.
"Still, I wonder why this happened now of all times? Did defeating Goddess Aria have an effect on this world?"
That was the only thing Kael could think of that would make sense.
"Well, I will find out about this later. For now, I should head out."
Kael was able to make a long jump using his mana, and he landed in the middle of the city where others were being attacked by the monsters.
His magic kept him hidden, and he also helped the normal humans who were struggling. But the most important thing he had to do right now was close the pocket dimension in front of him.
"Let’s see what kind of place this is."
Kael closed his eyes and poured his magic into the detection spell he had developed a long time ago.
His surroundings turned red as they shone, and Kael closed his eyes as he allowed the sensation to take him over.
When he opened his eyes, he had a floating screen in front of him that reminded him of world magic... no, rather, a gaming interface.
[Checking situation...]
[A New Dungeon has been detected. Finding ways to close it.]
[Way found. Please destroy the dungeon core inside it to close it.]
Well, that was in line with what Kael thought he would have to do, so he was not surprised. He stretched his back and straightened himself before he entered the rift in front of him all alone.
Since no one could see him, no one tried to stop him either. And for the first time, Kael experienced the world beyond the rift that was on the other side.
It looked like a magically enchanted forest with pink and red trees all around. It filled Kael with a sense of nostalgia.
"This place looks like what I used to dream about when I was small."
There was a brief period in Kael’s life when he had a vivid imagination and could imagine all sorts of worlds. This place felt like one of those worlds.
But then he had grown up a little and forgotten all about this place.
"Still, to see it like this now sure is a shock. Ah, but I better get going now."
If this place was truly taking the shape of his long-forgotten memory, then Kael must know a way to get out of here subconsciously. All he had to do was recall this, and he was going to be fine.
Besides, he had magic, and that would help him.
...
The inside of the dungeon was much larger than Kael expected. He had been walking for about an hour, and he still had no idea where he had gone.
He even tried direction magic, but kept feeling like he was going around in circles instead of following a compass.
"Ugh, should I just risk overloading the dungeon with my magic? This place is fragile enough that it would collapse under the faintest of pressure."
But there was no telling what it would do to Kael as well.
He did not think he would be buried alive in this place, but you could never know the risks with such places.
Kael kept walking forward until he felt like he had hit an invisible wall in front of him, and that forced a chuckle out of his mouth.
"I see. So this is the invisible edge of this place. That means there is either a vacuum on the other side or the boss’s lair. Anyway, this is a point worth risking my life over."
Kael took a deep breath before he gathered his magic and punctured the wall. But there was no pressure from behind.
He could not tell whether it was an invisible wall or the entrance to the boss room.
"Tsk, what an annoyance. Can I truly not know what it is without forcing it open? Ugh, I don’t like this feeling of defeat. So let’s try a little harder."
He complained, but he was already getting ready to blow this invisible wall into pieces. He was not going to let anything stop him from reaching his end goal of closing this dungeon.
Kael gathered more mana into his hand, allowing it to condense into a dense sphere of energy that slowly began to distort the space around it.
He could feel the invisible barrier resisting his magic, although it was not particularly strong.
Whatever had created this place had clearly not expected someone like Kael to enter it and start forcing his way through the dungeon.
"Let’s see what is hiding behind here. Just a little more pressure should do."
Kael incfreased the pressure and the wall started to crack.
