Raising the Forgotten Snake Goddess with my Divine Faith System
Chapter 87: Ch 86: I like you
"Goddess Apophis, it seems like we have a guest. Should we go and invite him in?"
Aiden asked his goddess, who made an annoyed face.
"Intruders are not welcome. I would much rather throw that insolent god outside than entertain their rudeness."
"I am sure you want to do that. However, we need to be careful here. We still have no idea what this person wants from us, right? So let’s go and meet him."
Aiden convinced his goddess in a loving and patient voice, but she just scoffed at his words.
"Why did you even bother asking me this question when you have already made up your mind about it? You are going to head out and meet this intruder anyway."
Goddess Apophis muttered under her breath, and Aiden did not answer her. After all, he knew she was right.
Although, he would have reconsidered if his goddess truly had a problem with this.

"What a beautiful place. I have never seen a place like this before. Have you, my dear overlooker?"
A beautiful lady walked through the lit streets of Goddess Apophis’s village with her umbrella covering her head. It also hid most of her face from people’s view.
But her ’overlooker’ could see her goddess walking around with a crooked smile on her face. A butterfly fluttered where the goddess’s right eye was, and even her hair and body were decorated with various pink butterflies.
At first, they looked like decorations, but in reality, those butterflies were a part of her goddess, and they were very much alive.
Right now, they were fluttering around, showing their interest in the place as well.
"This truly is a beautiful place. However, I must remind you that we are not here to have fun. We are here to observe this place and check if it is alright for the children of our village to come and study at—"
"You worry too much! We will get to that as well. But only after we have some fun here. Don’t you want to experience all this place has to offer?"
The white-haired goddess asked as she twirled around. Her power made sure that no one would pay attention to her, and her spinning caused her body to become unstable, causing butterflies to emerge from her unstable form.
Her observer just sighed and shook her head.
"Goddess Paphelia, please behave yourself. Your body is falling apart—"
"Shhh, you worry too much about Aeloria. It’s going to be fine because I am powerful. And soon, this place is going to become mine, and I—"
The goddess stopped talking as soon as she felt a strong aura trying to feel her out. She decided to reach back as well and noticed that the one who tried to touch her aura was a man with green hair and a beautiful face.
’Who is this?’
Goddess Paphelia questioned, her eyes taking in Aiden and his magnificent form. His whole body was shining with divine light, which indicated that he had pure devotion that made him like this.
And not only that, but something about him caused Goddess Paphelia to become addicted. She wanted to keep looking at him...
And that green-haired man was walking toward her carefully, which made her nervous, and her heart skipped a beat. Sweat covered her arms and legs, causing her to be unable to move.
"Goddess Paphelia, are you alright? You suddenly froze mid-step...! Are you alright? You are—"
"Aeloria, I think I am in love. This is what love feels like, right? I feel like I cannot move my eyes away from that man, and my heart is beating so fast seeing him walk toward me. Oh my god! What should I do?"
The goddess questioned, trying her hardest to remain calm.
But Aeloria had a weird look on her face when she looked at her goddess.
"Goddess Paphelia, I don’t think you are in love. Rather, you look scared—"
"Shhh, I know what love is, and I am in love. I am going to make that man mine, just you wait and see."
Goddess Paphelia sounded determined, which made Aeloria sigh. She had a feeling that her goddess would cause problems for her.
But at the same time, she knew that she had no way to stop her goddess either. Especially since it looked like the human she had ’fallen for’ was walking toward them as well.
The man in priest robes stopped in front of her goddess and gave her a small but respectful bow.
"Welcome to our humble village, esteemed guests. I am Priest Aiden, Goddess Apophis’s chief priest. How may I help you on this fine day?"
Aiden, the priest, asked in a happy voice, but the look in his eyes made Aeloria shudder. This man was trouble, and it would be best for both her and her goddess to not get involved with him.
"Goddess Paphelia, we should—"
"Hey you! I like you, and I want you to be mine. Name your price. I am willing to give you anything you desire."
Aiden froze for a moment at the sudden confession. He had expected many things from this unexpected guest, but this was certainly not one of them.
"Excuse me?"
He asked, wondering if he had heard her correctly.
"I said I want you. You can ask for anything you want. Gold, treasures, divine artifacts, even my blessings. I can give them all to you."
Goddess Paphelia spoke with absolute confidence, but Aeloria looked like she wanted the ground to swallow her whole.
"My goddess, perhaps you should calm down and—"
"No! This is the first time I have ever felt this way. I cannot let him escape!"
Paphelia grabbed Aiden’s hand before he could react, and her eyes sparkled with excitement.
Aiden’s expression became complicated as he glanced at their joined hands.
’This is going to be troublesome.’
Especially since his goddess looked ready to tear this outsider’s head off. It was only a matter of time before she opened her mouth and bit the external goddess for making such a joke.
