Aiden somehow managed to get his Goddess to calm down, but she still did not look happy. The stiff and dry air of the inn must be adding to her discomfort, causing Aiden to let out a sigh.

"Goddess Apophis, how about we head out and take a look around the village? We also need to get Caelion registered for this tournament."

Aiden waited for his goddess to approve of their outing, and the snake-goddess let out a sigh before nodding.

"Fine! We can go out on this outing. But only because you want to go."

Even though his goddess said that, Aiden could feel her excitement. The way her tail moved gave away just how much she wanted to go outside.

So Aiden took her out without saying much, and they enjoyed the village...not that it was anything special.

Rather, it was so backward that Aiden had a hard time adjusting to it. It made him realize just how much further their own small village had come in comparison.

There was a lot of stuff to check out, but none of it was superior to the ones that were being sold in his village. So after selling some of his own herbs locally to get his goddess’s name out, Aiden decided it was time to head back.

His goddess looked happier as well, which was a plus point.

Aiden decided that it was time to register Caelion for the tournament. He had told Caelion to leave this to him since he was going out anyway. Meanwhile, Caelion was practicing hard to control his newfound physical strength.

"Tsk, that bird brat is here."

Goddess Apophis sounded slightly irritated when she pointed it out, but she did not tell Aiden that he should turn back.

Still, Aiden decided to ask her what she wanted to do.

"Goddess Apophis, do you want me to head back or continue walking ahead?"

Aiden asked, and his goddess narrowed her eyes before tugging Aiden toward an alley. Aiden followed her lead, and he watched as his Goddess turned into her human form.

Jealousy filled Aiden, and he frowned while looking at her.

"Goddess Apophis-"

"I will accompany you like this. This way, people will know better than to look at you and ogle you."

His goddess sounded so firm that Aiden felt speechless. He wanted to ask his goddess just who would go after him when someone as gorgeous was standing by his side. But from the look on her face, that was the intention.

His goddess ignored his expression and instead extended her hand toward him with clear intentions.

Aiden sighed and placed his hand in hers.

"Now, shall we get going?"

Goddess Apophis asked, and Aiden nodded to show that he agreed. And that was how they exited the alley and headed toward Sasha’s location.

...

People gasped as they watched Goddess Apophis and Aiden making their way toward the main registration tent.

Aiden could feel the people’s gazes, seizing his goddess and trying to ravage her with their dirty stares.

As a result, he tried to position himself in front of his goddess in a way where he could hide her. But her presence was too much, and Aiden could only do so little.

His unhappiness rolled off him in waves, and he felt his goddess leaning against him with her breath hitting his ears.

"I feel the same jealousy every time you head out. But there is no need to worry, Aiden. We are one and the same here. No one will be able to come between us."

Goddess Apophis promised as she slipped her hand into Aiden’s own. Her power was covering Aiden’s body, marking him as hers from the inside, and Aiden let out a sigh at that incredible feeling.

He was surrounded by her presence from all sides, and it made him even forget that there were other people around, looking at him.

"That’s it! There is no need for you to be worried about anyone else when I am here with you. Just focus on me and think about me."

Goddess Apophis told Aiden, and her voice echoed in his mind. He was being tugged along by his goddess, and he had no regrets.

Finally, they reached the registration booth, and Aiden noticed how quiet it had gotten. He looked around after snapping out of his daze, only to feel someone tugging at his clothes.

"Papa, help me register for this competition. The person in charge is telling me that I am too young, and he is also threatening to call the guards. I-I don’t want to be locked up-"

Sasha quickly ran over to him and clutched his clothes. Her eyes were begging Aiden to help her out, which made Aiden take a step back.

He was not sure what he was supposed to do here, and people were looking at him like he was scum.

"A father? He looks quite young, right?"

"He must have had an affair with an older married woman and left her. His current partner looks far too young to have birthed a child this old."

"But the child looks nothing like her father or mother. She is from a step-wife for sure."

’Greatttt! My character has been reduced to nothing, and it is all because of this kid. What should I do with her now?’

Aiden felt his eyes twitching, and Sasha flinched at the look he gave her before she slowly let go of his clothes. But the way she looked down made people pity her even more.

’Darn it! What is this rotten luck I am having? I better clear this misunderstanding as soon as possible.’

"Who are you? Are you sure you have come to the right person? I am Goddess Apophis’s priest, and I have never spent a night with a woman, much less had a kid. I can take a vow to prove it. But do you have any proof that I am your father?"

Aiden asked, and Sasha flinched even more before fake tears hit her eyes and she started to cry.
