Raising the Forgotten Snake Goddess with my Divine Faith System
Chapter 133: Ch 132: Caught in a Web - Part 1
There was only so much Aiden’s speech could do. The factions that had already started to form in the school were only going to get deeper. Especially since the students here belonged to all age groups.
And just as there were different age groups, there were also people who specifically got inside to cause trouble for the school on behalf of their gods.
This situation did not look any different from modern politics with a few fewer layers. So Aiden also had a solution for this problem.
"Priest Aiden, what are we going to do now? Those students looked pissed off. They will likely cause another problem soon."
The manager of the school looked startled, and he rubbed the sweat from his balding forehead as he spoke. Concern dripped out of his mouth, and Aiden found himself agreeing with the priest.
The students would do something drastic if they were not distracted. And that was why Aiden had a solution prepared.
"There is no need to worry, Manager. I am well aware of how to take care of such problems. Right now, all these students are divided because of their differences. So all we need to do is give them a common enemy, and they will all come together."
Aiden proposed, and the manager looked even more startled.
"And how do we do that, Priest Aiden? Just who would agree to become a common enemy-"
"Who said it had to be voluntary? I already have someone in mind for this, so don’t worry. I will make sure to take care of this mess. All you have to do is sit back and enjoy yourself."
Aiden promised the manager, who still looked startled. But he slowly nodded, putting his trust in Aiden.
"Of course, Priest Aiden. I understand. I will take care of what needs to be done behind the scenes, so please help us resolve the situation."
This worked out perfectly since Aiden had been thinking about how to deal with the Church of Prey. Now, he would just throw them as bait for these students to deal with.
...
Aiden started simple. First, he needed to make the Church of Prey cause a mess, and that was easy. All he had to do was cause a few explosions that did not hurt anyone and leave clumsy evidence behind.
Of course, this would only make people hesitate to pin it on them. But Aiden was far from done.
He slowly began to create more and more accidents, and the people he had captured helped a lot.
Once the troublemakers from the Church of Prey had been caught and interrogated, all kinds of amusing news came out of their mouths. It helped Aiden plan his attacks even better.
Some of the methods and powers he mimicked were exclusive to the Church of Prey.
It did not take long before people began to draw a conclusion, and since the Church was aiming for anyone without discrimination, they became a target.
Of course, Aiden only approached the situation like this once he was certain that there were no students in the academy who belonged to the Church of Prey. And those who were suspected to be from there, he secretly kept an eye on.
By the end of the week, the academy was in an uproar and had united against the Church of Prey. It had made them forget their other differences as well and get along well.
"This is not so bad. I guess I can call this taking two problems out at once."
Aiden looked at the harmonious academy grounds from the management office as he sipped his tea. Today, he had his goddess with him, and Goddess Apophis looked down with her reptilian eyes as well.
Her eyes were fixed on the academy grounds, which made Aiden look that way as well. He could instinctively feel that something was wrong there.
"Goddess Apophis-"
"We should check out what is happening there. I have a feeling our friends have decided to leave us with a parting gift."
Goddess Apophis sounded rather amused, which informed Aiden that this was not an emergency. But it was still likely a problem he had to tackle sooner or later.
"I will head down and see what is going on. Meanwhile-"
Aiden was not finished speaking when there was a sudden explosion. The barrier that was the closest to the academy was affected by the explosion and started breaking down.
Aiden could only sigh as he looked at what was happening.
"I guess I better go down and check things out-"
"Why not wait a few minutes? Are you not curious what these humans are capable of doing without your help?"
Goddess Apophis asked, but the one who seemed interested seemed to be her. Aiden could see her curiosity boiling over, and it made him sigh.
"Alright, I will stay here and observe for now."
Aiden leaned back against the wall and observed from the window. He watched as the students picked up whatever they could in order to fight against the demons rushing inside from outside the barrier.
These demons were weak enough to be taken care of by humans, and if worse came to happen, then Aiden’s goddess could instantly kill them all off.
But the more he watched these monsters die, the more he realized why his goddess wanted him to stay back and watch this happen. It was because this was a good time for a team-building exercise.
The students were putting aside their differences as they fought with all they had. Just looking at it made Aiden feel proud.
However, there was only so much these kids could take as well. The next wave was likely going to be too much for them.
"It looks like it’s time for me to head down and help out as well. Ugh, someone will need to head out and catch the culprits behind this attack as well. The news about this must be out by now."
Well, even if someone else was not available, Aiden was more than capable of taking out the enemy on his own.
