Chapter 389: Told by the Griffin to Stay

Suddenly the griffin’s voice rang in my head. What? You were watching?

"Were you watching me?"

"That is so. After you entered that wall I was not watching but after you came out I watched again."

"Do you know me?"

"I know."

"Why?"

"Even asked I cannot answer. I can only say somehow."

"Is that so."

Something, a thing called a sixth sense?

"That is so. People say it that way."

I whose every thought is being read.

"If you want to eat wyverns, without watching me you only need to hunt wyverns yourself, yes?"

"It does not go that way. When these see my form they run. However far they seem to know me and run. Therefore I cannot catch these."

"And so you were watching me."

The griffin says while eating the wyvern gatsu gatsu.

"That is so, if you are there these go to your place and try to eat you. I thought you would surely take these down."

"Because the wyverns are aiming at me they gather, is that it?"

"That I do not know. But these seem to find you and gather."

"That kind of thing, I was told for the first time. You understand well."

"I do not know, I only thought so. That hunch only hit."

"I took down the wyverns staking my life. After this too will wyverns aim at me?"

"I want it to be so."

I do not particularly need that kind of chance.

"If next time more wyverns come and attack even I seem to be done in."

The griffin rests eating a little,

"That is troubling. But if you use that bow can you not take down wyverns?"

it says.

"That is borrowed and just now I was allowed to use it temporarily. It was a person’s thing so I returned that."

"Is that so. Then shall I give a bow in exchange? I have to thank you for letting me eat wyverns."

"Thank you. But you do not have that kind of thing anywhere, yes?"

If it has a mana bag, if it takes it out it seems it would come out. But it has no hands so how does it say it will take it out?

"It is at my dwelling."

Ah, the dwelling.

"A bow and such, you do not seem to use them yet you have them?"

"Ah, that is so. Long ago the human race who came to kill me had them. I killed them so I have left the things they had."

"To kill you? What a reckless thing."

"That is right. Saying they would exterminate me they came into my domain."

"Were they not calling themselves heroes?"

"Hmm, I do not know. No, it may be so. That one I feel was being told so by companions. Those ones, of all things they entered my domain rudely without reserve so I only killed them. They seemed to intend to kill me but they camped as they liked inside my domain and of all things made a fuss. Therefore though it was night I went to their place and exterminated them."

The hero the clan chief spoke of seems to have been killed quite easily.

"Is that so..."

"That one was just in the middle of mating with females. He was saying ’a surprise attack is cowardly!’ but in the first place entering my domain without caution, being in heat defenseless, that side is bad, yes? He seemed to want to say something else too but there was no need to hear so I burned him together with three females."

"Three females?"

Meaning the hero brought three women and was taking those three as partners? Enviable but I do not want to die.

"You are bringing a female too. Will you not mate with that female?"

"Eh!?"

Surprised I look at Sandy and Sandy is surprised too.

"The female side seems prepared, yes? Humans, whenever, wherever, if male and female are together they mate, is that not so? There is no need to hold back for me. Is that female not waiting for you?"

Told by the griffin I look at Sandy and she reddened her face and looked down. Seeing that form I remember last night.

"Well, do as you like. Only that female seems to wish for a child."
