An Lin and An Ran were quite surprised to find that the owner of There is an Antique Shop was such a young woman, or rather, a girl who looked just in her early twenties. Both of them froze momentarily.

However, they quickly regained their composure as An Ran, concerned about her team member, directly said, "Hello, we’re here hoping you could help us rescue someone.

He’s my vice-captain, but he went missing while investigating a case involving a large number of mysterious disappearances, suspected to be caused by demons.

We’ve searched everywhere he went but couldn’t find him. We had no choice but to trouble you, the owner. Please help us find my teammate."

Feng Shuangshuang listened silently to An Ran’s urgent explanation. Once An Ran finished, she blinked gently, her eyes instantly turning blood red.

In Feng Shuangshuang’s blood-red eyes, a circle of golden halo gradually emerged, circled around her blood-red pupils, and then slowly disappeared.

Feng Shuangshuang blinked again, the red in her eyes slowly receding, reverting to amber-colored eyes: "I already know where the person you’re looking for is; he’s currently trapped in a Different Space."

"Different Space!" Upon hearing Feng Shuangshuang’s words, An Ran and An Lin couldn’t help but express their shock simultaneously, feeling a bit heavy-hearted.

Different Space can only be opened by very powerful demons, and is a virtual space independent of the real world. Once drawn into it, it’s like entering the monster’s home turf.

In the opponent’s territory, one’s strength is suppressed, and very few can come out alive once pulled into a monster’s Different Space.

Seeing An Ran and An Lin’s concern, Feng Shuangshuang reassured them, "You don’t have to worry for now; he’s not in any real danger."

After speaking, Feng Shuangshuang raised her hand, and a black butterfly appeared gradually at her fingertips, fluttering its wings and sprinkling bits of black dust that disappeared in the air before hitting the ground.

Feng Shuangshuang waved her hand lightly, the black butterfly fluttered around, circling An Ran and An Lin a few times, eventually landing on An Ran’s shoulder.

Feng Shuangshuang took a few steps forward, her qipao instantly transforming into leather jacket and black pants, with a double-row belt adorned with bright silver chains, her boots softly stepping on the ground, walking silently.

Feng Shuangshuang cast a glance at the astonished An Ran and An Lin. Clearly, they were still adjusting to the stark contrast in styles presented by Feng Shuangshuang.

"Why are you still standing there? Follow the butterfly, and you’ll find your missing companion."

With a dumbfounded response, An Ran and An Lin finally reacted, quickly leading the way to the driver’s parked car away from the bamboo grove.

After the three of them got in the car, the black butterfly automatically flew to the front, leading the way as the driver followed it along the road.

They traveled for a full day and night without pause, stopping once at a gas station to refuel so they wouldn’t run out of gas and be stranded.

Ultimately, the car stopped at a very desolate ancient city ruins, a place said to have been the capital of a small ancient country, later destroyed by a great fire.

Due to the significant elapsed time, the so-called ancient city ruins now showed no signs of past grandeur, only a few mounds claimed to be the remnants.

Despite just being mounds, this place was considered a protected ancient city site, not easily accessible to the public.

Fortunately, An Lin had already phoned relevant authorities to secure permission to enter, allowing the three of them swift entry into the protected area of the ancient city ruins.

The black butterfly continued to lead the way, and the three followed it inside until it settled motionlessly on a completely smooth surface devoid of any relics.

An Lin and An Ran were dumbfounded, staring at the stationary black butterfly. An Ran turned to Feng Shuangshuang with confusion, asking, "Why is it stopping here? Is Bai Xiaogang right here?"

An Lin also examined the surroundings; though monsters’ Different Space was powerful, it couldn’t be created out of nothing—it needed an anchor point.

Yet this place had nothing. What could the monster rely on to establish a Different Space?

Feng Shuangshuang circled the area a few times, explaining to An Ran, "There’s a well-preserved ancient building underground here, which the monster used as an anchor to create a Different Space."

Upon finishing, Feng Shuangshuang also halted, raised her hand, and red light gathered into a ball in her palm. Feng Shuangshuang turned her hand downward, and the red ball instantly shot into the ground.

Following the disappearance of the red ball, a massive black hole appeared out of thin air, with stairs winding down deep into the ground.

Feng Shuangshuang cautiously stepped onto the stairs and descended; even though the black hole looked eerie, An Lin and An Ran were very accustomed to spooky places, so they followed Feng Shuangshuang without hesitation.

The stairs in the black hole were long, winding continuously for indeterminable lengths. Initially, some light managed to seep from behind, but after a few steps, sunlight could no longer penetrate.

Facing complete darkness, An Ran and An Lin had to use Night Vision Talismans to maintain visibility, while Feng Shuangshuang did not seem to need any talismans and was unbothered by the dark.

If An Ran and An Lin could see Feng Shuangshuang’s eyes, they would notice her eyes had turned red, seeing the world brightly as day.

After an unknown duration on the path, they finally emerged from the pitch-black passage, gradually hearing noises ahead.

What the three saw was a huge theater standing alone amidst the darkness, looking bizarre and abrupt.

The theater entrance was devoid of people; Feng Shuangshuang unhesitatingly entered, with An Lin and An Ran following after a brief hesitation.

"Yee... ah... my lord..."

The sound of musical instruments arose, with performers in green robes taking the stage, sleeves fluttering, singing melodiously. Soon, they were joined by performers in various costumes, enacting a drama of joys and sorrows.

The table setting was neat, the patrons sat straight-backed in chairs, and the tables were laden with tea, snacks, and peanuts.

Numerous staff members with white cloths draped on their arms roamed between tables, attending to patrons’ needs.

Yet, all the patrons sat stiffly, not eating or beckoning the servants.
