Chapter 3092: Two Sticks of Bamboo

Chapter 3092: Two Sticks of Bamboo

Ning Shu steered the boat, using the satellite navigation system to determine their location.

“Your legs are really bony,” Gong Rong complained. He felt like he was sitting on two sticks of bamboo. It was damn uncomfortable.

“I promise I won’t stir up any trouble. I’ll be a good little hostage. Just please don’t make me sit on your lap, alright?” Gong Rong said.

Ning Shu immediately replied, “Then get up quick. My legs are about to break under you.”

Gong Rong stood up and stood beside Ning Shu. The wind whipped through his hair until it was a total mess.

Ning Shu’s thoughts were in turmoil. What was she going to do with her life now?

Since she’d kidnapped Gong Rong, Gong Fu definitely wouldn’t let the entrustor’s mother off the hook. She had to get back to land as soon as possible and go to the hospital to see the entrustor’s mother.

Now she was a kidnapper.

However, if she hadn’t grabbed hold of Gong Rong, she wouldn’t have even been able to get off the ship.

The wind was lashing at Gong Rong’s face, making it sting. He sat down and tried to smooth out his hair.

Ning Shu glanced at him out of the corner of her eye. “You really are a pitiful sight right now.”

Gong Rong responded coldly, “Little girl, I’m telling you, I’m only your hostage. Don’t go lusting after my good looks.”

Ning Shu let out a dry laugh. Her lips pulled into a sneer.

Who would lust after the looks of a pervert like him?

The weather was sweltering. The tanned girl pulled out bottled water from a box. She handed one to Ning Shu and another to Gong Rong.

“Drink sparingly. Who knows how long we’ll be stuck at sea,” Ning Shu said.

“As the hostage, you only get one sip,” she added while snatching the bottle from Gong Rong’s hand.

Gong Rong didn’t look the least bit like a hostage. Was it because she didn’t look intimidating enough?

Shouldn’t Gong Rong be pale with fear?

Ning Shu kicked him with her foot. Gong Rong gave her a sidelong glance. “What was that for?”

“Be more obedient.”

“I am obedient.”

Ning Shu: Please be more afraid…

Gong Rong really wasn’t afraid of dying.

Suddenly, Ning Shu asked, “Are you dying soon or something?”

Gong Rong looked her directly in the eye and raised an eyebrow. It was a strikingly charismatic move. “What makes you think that?”

“You said you have an illness. You’ve also been grooming your sister to take over the SR Conglomerate. You’re not that old yet. If you weren’t dying, you wouldn’t be in such a rush, right?”

She found Gong Rong’s actions after she’d kidnapped him unnervingly calm. He didn’t seem scared in the slightest.

The more Ning Shu thought about it, the more she was convinced. Cr*p, she’d kidnapped someone who was about to die. He was totally useless.

If this guy died in her hands, she wouldn’t just be a kidnapper, she’d be branded a murderer too.

Gong Rong gave a little smile, but it made Ning Shu’s heart sink. “How could a beauty like me possibly die?”

Ning Shu released her spiritual energy and scanned Gong Rong from head to toe, inside and out.

She had to see what was really wrong with him.

There were no obvious abnormalities, but she did notice something. Gong Rong’s internal organs were severely aged.

They should’ve been youthful and healthy, but instead, they resembled the organs of someone in their fifties or sixties.

Ning Shu kept her face impassive. From the looks of it, Gong Rong could still live a while longer.

Life at sea was boring. Gong Rong, who felt a bit tired, lay down on a chair in the back and fell asleep. Ning Shu told the tanned girl to keep an eye on him at all times.

She was deeply worried about the entrustor’s mother. She even suspected as soon as the entrustor was taken to the island, SR Conglomerate had captured the entrustor’s mother.
