194 It's All A Dream (2)

“What do you mean, ‘you will’?”

Allen heard a too familiar voice to him. After hearing that voice, he immediately felt a stinging sensation on his face which caused his body to jolt and wake up.

Opening his eyes, the source of the voice came into his view and he instantly knew who it was. How could he not know when that person in front of him was the only one he could ever rely on in his life?

“Sorry, Asther. I just had a wonderful lucid dream.”

Allen apologized to the person in front of him. Asther, his younger brother, was the person in front of him and the source of the voice from before.

“Oh wow~ It seems that I am too young that I can’t even understand the older ones such as you. I didn’t know that overdosing on sleeping pills can make you have a wonderful lucid dream. I should try it later.”

Asther replied to Allen with evident sarcasm in his tone and from the expression on his face, it was clear that he wasn’t happy with what Allen had done to himself.

After all, if you went to visit a sibling of yours and then found out that he tried to forfeit his life aka commit suicide, would you be happy if he did that? Of course not, and that was what Asther currently felt.

It was already a miracle that Allen didn’t die and just had a “wonderful lucid dream”.

Although Asther wasn’t happy with the fact that Allen had attempted to kill himself, he was still happy that Allen failed and there doesn’t seem to be anything wrong with him except for one thing.

“Sarcasm aside, why do you look as if you have something that was taken apart from you?”

Asther asked his elder brother in concern since he noticed that something was wrong with Allen’s expression. It was an expression that someone who lost something important to him would have.

Due to being the <Supreme Inventor>, Asther had to study numerous fields in science, and psychology was included in the ones that he had studied before. After all, he would often be requested by those billionaires and influential people to create inventions such as curing someone’s mental illness i.e. schizophrenia, autism, etc.

And that was why he could do something easy such as noticing his elder brother’s expression especially when his elder brother didn’t know how to put up a poker face.

Allen knew that he couldn’t hide anything from his younger brother and remembering how pathetic he was compared to him, he could only loathe himself for being inferior to him despite being the elder brother.

“I don’t know. I just remembered that I have a lucid dream where I have a <Supreme> talent and for some reason, I don’t have any memory of what <Supreme> talent that I had in my dream.”

When Asther had heard of Allen’s reply, he was delighted for some reasons.

“Really?! Is it perhaps a sign of awakening?”

“Although I awakened my <Supreme> talent when I was in my mother’s womb, I still remembered that my classmates said that they experienced a dream a week before they awakened. And most of them who are called “Late Bloomers” had a dream before they awakened their <Supreme> talents while the fewer ones just awaken their <Supreme> talent under stress or tension.”

“If it’s a sign of awakening, then I will congratulate you in advance. Tell me if you awaken your <Supreme> talent within a week and I will treat you to the most expensive restaurant that existed in this world!”

Hearing Asther’s positivity and words of encouragement, Allen was affected by his younger brother’s optimism that he also hoped that his dream was a sign of an awakening of his <Supreme> talent.

“I will, don’t regret it!”

“Even if you are the <Supreme Eater>, you won’t be able to put a dent in my bank account even if we eat at the most expensive restaurant ever!”

After that exchange from both Allen and Asther, Asther continued to ask questions about his elder brother’s dream.

“Brother, what else did you experience in your dream? If you tell me more about it, maybe I can deduce what your <Supreme> talent will be.”

Having numerous experiences regarding the sign of awakening, Asther was confident that as long as Allen described his dream in detail, he would be able to deduce the most probable <Supreme> talent that Allen would awaken within the week after he dreamed about it.

Of course, there was also a possibility that what Allen had dreamed about wasn’t a sign of awakening and that was also why Asther had asked him to tell him more about his dream so that he would be able to determine whether it was just the average lucid dream or if it was a sign of awakening.

“Before I answer your question, answer mine first. Why the heck that when I woke up, I felt a stinging sensation on the left side of my face? And even now, it still fucking hurts.”

Allen asked Asther while rubbing the left side of his face. If one were to hear Allen’s tone, he was using a declarative tone instead of an interrogative one despite asking a question since Allen knew who the culprit was.

As for the culprit, he was someone with short brown hair that covered his deep-blue-colored left eye and was only a few centimeters shorter than Allen. In other words, the culprit was his younger brother Asther.

And the culprit didn’t seem to be planning on denying it as a grin was present on his face.

“I was testing my latest invention which I called the ‘FaceslapINATOR’!”

“Have you ever met someone who doesn’t want to get a slap in the face since it will ruin his appearance if his face ever gets bruised? Fear not, for the FaceslapINATOR has been invented for that purpose!”

After saying that, Asther revealed a white-colored hand glove in his hands that was previously invisible.

“The FaceslapINATOR allows anyone who wears it to inflict pain into every slap without bruising or injuring the target’s face! It also comes with a stealth feature so that it wouldn’t be seen by your target!”

“After I tested this on a live species known as “Young Master” when I traveled to China, all of them called me grandpa!”
