187 Suspending Their Class

Allen and the members of the resistance chatted for an hour, and they came to a conclusion on how they should deal with the Supreme Academy’s demands for an interrogation.

It was already obvious that they won’t comply with any of the bullshit that the Supreme Academy would ask them to do and they already expected a confrontation against them.

Allen had already warned the members of the resistance to prepare against an immediate attack against the Supreme Academy and with the assistance of Carrion, all of the combat groups in the resistance already knew their roles when it came to battle.

So after their discussion that lasted for an hour, it was currently 9:43 AM. But Hawser, their adviser, has yet to attend class. It was very unusual for him to be this late and they knew that something must have happened to him but knowing that he was part of the Supreme Academy staff, they could care less about him.

Allen and his classmates weren’t naive and they didn’t possess a hero complex so none of them were keen on finding where Hawser was and checking up on his condition.

Although they didn’t elect any classroom representative, all of Allen’s classmates unanimously chose Allen as the leader of their class since he was also the founder of the resistance.

As the leader of the class, Allen knew that he had to decide whether he should postpone their class and just go home or wait for their class adviser to attend class. He could also go to the teacher’s office and ask the other teachers about Hawser’s absence in class but he knew that it wasn’t worth it.

And besides, it was not like their attendance was mandatory. The purpose of attending today’s class was for all of them to have an alibi during the spy gadgets incident. Before the spy gadgets exploded, all of them were in class when it was last captured by the spy gadgets so they already have an alibi.

‘There shouldn’t be any problem in going home and not attending class considering that the purpose of attending today’s class was already fulfilled.’

With that in his mind, Allen made up his mind as he stood up from his chair and walked towards the front of the class where the teacher’s desk was located at. Allen’s action attracted the attention of all of his classmates and that was what he wanted so without further ado, he made an announcement.

“As all of you have already noticed, our adviser has yet to attend class and it’s already an hour and a half past our class time. That is why I have decided that all of us should just go home considering that class isn’t even mandatory.”

“If none of you have any objections, then we can all go home and don’t worry as I will explain to Hawser about this on the next class day which is on Monday. Any objections?”

Allen asked his classmates and seeing that all of them agreed to suspend their class for today, he didn’t say anything as it was already concluded.

Heading to Iris’ seat, Allen offered his hand to her. She took it and both of them left the class while holding each other’s hands.

Stepping out of the classroom, Allen didn’t forget to send his classmates one last message via the Telepathy Chat Group.

Allen: I suggest all of you go back to your houses since all of us already have alibis. And besides, all of you need to recover your energy at home considering that there might be a possibility that we will fight against the Supreme Academy so it’s best for all of us to be at our peak state.

Leaving with that message, Allen used his <Supreme Teleporter> talent to teleport both Iris and him to their house.

Allen and Iris safely arrived in the comfort of their home.

This time, Allen didn’t suggest walking home since he knew that after the spy gadgets incident, the Supreme Academy would be chaotic and who knew if there would be a riot caused by the <Supremes>?

It was better to be safe than sorry. Allen decided to wait for the commotion at the Supreme Academy to die down as both Iris and he would spend the time waiting for that in their house.

And that was why Allen decided to suspend their class and suggested for all of his classmates return to their house so that they wouldn’t be caught up in the chaos that would brew in the Supreme Academy.

All of his classmates knew the meaning behind Allen’s actions and that was why they didn’t object to his decision in their class suspension. Not to mention that Allen didn’t hesitate to take the responsibility for their class suspension.

Although, Allen knew that he wouldn’t be punished by the Supreme Academy for suspending their class on the grounds that class attendance wasn’t mandatory and it was already thoughtful of them as students that they even attended class.

After all, the majority of the <Supremes> rarely attend classes, especially those schoolmates of theirs that had <Supreme> talents that required them to focus too much time on their work such as the <Supreme Scientist> and <Supreme Inventor>. So it was common among the students of the Supreme Academy to skip their classes.

The purpose of attending the Supreme Academy was to hone their <Supreme> talent so whenever they have a breakthrough regarding their <Supreme> talent, they could easily skip classes and that was the purpose of the Supreme Academy not making class attendance mandatory. So for the <Supremes>, the Supreme Academy was the best environment for them to focus on improving their <Supreme> talents.

After all, unlike the stereotypical schools that forced their students to focus on numerous subjects instead of letting students focus on one subject which was a complete waste of time, the Supreme Academy knew the shortcomings of those schools. So they created the best environment possible for the <Supremes> so that they can focus on subjects related to their <Supreme> talents.

But because of the spy gadgets incident, the trust of the <Supremes> towards the Supreme Academy will waver.

And that’s… what Allen and the resistance wanted.
