Chapter 1448 Promiscuous Demon
Chapter 1448 Promiscuous Demon
Serika took a sharp step forward.
“What are you doing to her-”
She stopped.
Just one look was enough.
Nyxara did not turn. She did not smirk. There was no teasing glint in her eyes, no provocation in her posture. Her attention remained fully on Mimi, expression softened into something that sat uncomfortably between focus and care. Every motion was restrained, precise, as if she were afraid even a careless breath might disturb the girl.
“The demon is protecting Mimi… She’s cradling her…” Vex whispered with a shocked voice.
At that, Nyxara finally looked up.
Her gaze slid from Mimi’s face to Vex, unhurried, eyes steady. “Why the shock?” she asked. “This ‘demon’ can act like a nurturing caretaker.” Her tone flattened. “I’m not just a horny slut.”
“You could’ve fooled me,” Ayame murmured.
Nyxara’s lips pressed together. Then she frowned. “I could’ve fooled myself as well…” She glanced down at Mimi again, brow knitting. “I only just found out now, too.”
The sigil on the tree’s trunk pulsed once.
Pink light seeped through the grooves of the womb mark, bright but controlled, spreading along the bark in thin lines that followed the vines’ paths. Nyxara inhaled slowly. When she exhaled, her lips flared with an unnatural neon hue, sharp against her skin.
“I’ve collected enough power,” she said.
She leaned down and pressed a brief kiss to Mimi’s forehead.
A thin mist spilled from Nyxara’s lips, pink and warm, drifting across Mimi’s brow and sinking into her skin. The girl’s breathing instantly evened out. The shallow tension in her frame eased. Color returned, subtle but clear.
Mimi’s eyes fluttered open.
She blinked once. Then twice.
Her gaze took in leaves, branches, and light filtering through green. Then it found her.
She froze.
Nyxara returned the girl’s gaze with a gentle smile. “Hello, little one. I’m Nyxara, your new partner in crime-”
“Ah!” Mimi yelped. “This woman reeks of promiscuity!”
She twisted free with surprising speed, scrambling out of Nyxara’s arms and lunging from the high branch into the depths, landing straight into Serika’s chest. Serika caught her without thinking, arms locking around her as Mimi buried her face against her shoulder.
Mimi peeked out a second later, eyes narrowed. “I have to treasure my innocence. Big sis Serika said so!”
Nyxara stared.
Then she sighed and looked away. “I really need to work on my image.”
Quinlan finally spoke.
“Okay,” he said flatly. “I’m lost. Nyxara, tell me what’s going on.”
Her pupils slid toward him.
The instant their eyes met, the irises deepened and bloomed into pink, heart-shaped irises that throbbed once, then again, responding to his presence alone. The softness she had worn for Mimi melted away. Her lips curved, slow and deliberate, and she dragged her tongue across them with no attempt at subtlety.
The markings along Quinlan’s skin flared.
Heat surged.
Nyxara dissolved into the sigils like ink pulled into water and reformed a heartbeat later behind him, coming out of his markings with her arms sliding around his neck. Her body pressed close, chest against his back and bosom against his neck, with her breath warm at his ear. She kissed his cheek lovingly.
“My Ruin is back… Or should I call you Master?❤️”
“I asked you a question,” Quinlan replied. “Answer it.”
Nyxara froze.
She pulled back just enough to look at him with her lower lip pushed out. “Tch. No appreciation at all.”
Then she gasped, eyes widening. “That’s right! I was mad at you!” She jabbed a finger at his cheeks, full of accusation. “You shut me off! You silenced me! Do you have any idea how sad I became? What do you have to say in your defense?”
“You were annoying,” Quinlan said without hesitation.
Her spine shuddered.
The heart-shaped pupils pulsed violently alongside the womb mark as she sucked in a breath. She leaned close again, lips brushing his ear as she whispered, voice trembling, “I need you to take me right here, right now…”
He didn’t move.
Instead, he turned his head just enough to look back at her with one eye. “Explain yourself. But before that,” he added with his eyes flicking toward the blue-skinned woman still held carefully in his arms, “can you heal Scar like you healed Mimi?”
Nyxara stiffened.
Slowly, she withdrew, fully stepping out of his markings and landing barefoot on the warm grass. The glow dimmed. Her shoulders sagged as she crossed her arms dramatically.
“I am a poor, neglected housewife,” she whimpered mournfully, “living in a household where the spark has died-”
“Bitch,” Vex cut in immediately, unimpressed. “You’re no wife of anyone, especially not my man. Don’t get ideas.”
Nyxara grinned. “A kitty is hissing. How cute.”
Vex’s eyes narrowed into dangerous slits. Before anything could escalate, Quinlan spoke.
“Nyxara. I am loyal to my wives. I suggest you do not taunt them.”
The demon froze mid-purr.
Her grin faltered. Her shoulders drooped. She pressed a hand to her chest dramatically and sniffed. “From a primordial demon, I’ve become a concubine beneath the main girls… Oh, this cruel fate of mine…”
“Nyxara,” Quinlan said again, firmer this time.
She burst into giggles, showing just how much of an act she was putting on. Her feet touched the ground properly as she turned toward Scar. She repeated the same ritual. The womb sigil on the tree pulsed faintly. Nyxara leaned in, breath warm, and let a thin veil of pink mist drift over Scar’s face.
Scar’s eyes parted.
She blinked, then focused on Quinlan, who was still holding her in a careful carry. “Master… What’s going on?”
“You passed out while helping me. Do you remember?”
Her brow creased. Then her eyes lit. “Ah. I was summoned to help you defeat the promiscuous demon.”
“Hello~” Nyxara sang from the side and even waved happily.
Scar turned her head. “Yeah. Her.”
Then her eyes widened. “Wait. Master. We won?!”
Quinlan smiled. “Yes. Thanks to you.”
Scar shook her head quickly. “It was only a small part. Any soul soldier could’ve done it.”
“I doubt that~” Nyxara purred.
“Shush, demon,” Scar hissed.
“For once, I agree with the succubus,” Quinlan smiled.
Scar stiffened and looked away. “Th-thank you, Master. I can walk now.”
He set her down gently.
Scar took a step. Then another. Unsteady at first, then in full control of her body. She rolled her shoulders once and straightened her spine, clearly restored. As she walked off, she kept her gaze carefully forward, very aware of several amused looks following her. She did not dare look at any of Quinlan’s girls, as she knew many of them were curious to find out how she felt about being in a princess hold.
Her pace picked up just a bit.
After watching his Elite Soul walk around aimlessly for a few seconds, Quinlan turned back to Nyxara.
“Now,” he said, “explain yourself.”
Nyxara pouted. “You’re so much warmer when you talk to literally any other woman. You’re so unfair! I demand equality!”
“Nyxara.”
She rubbed her thighs together at the sound of her name spoken so firmly, then sighed. “Fine. I’ll behave. What happened was…”
