Chapter 138: A Fifth Wife

"It will only get more dangerous from here." She said.

"I’ll keep that in mind." I replied.

Hazel came out of the tents and approached me.

"Both of my parents have instructed me to remain with you and your caravan." She said.

"Why would they do that?" I asked.

She cleared her throat and began to blush while avoiding eye contact.

"They have decided your reward for saving one of their daughters is to give another of their’s to you. They have betrothed me to you." She answered.

All four of my wives gasped as they covered their mouths.

"What? Did they consult you about this before making this decision?" I asked.

"They did. But they did not ask, they ordered it." She answered.

"And if I refuse?" I asked.

"You will offend my parents if you refuse to marry their daughter. Nobody refuses to marry a daughter of the Primordials." She answered.

"And when is this marriage supposed to take place?" I asked.

Elyndra pulled a clipboard from her ring and handed it to me. I read it and it was a contract of arranged marriage already signed by both of her parents. Then she handed me a pen.

"Legally it has already taken place. You just need to sign here to take possession of her." Elyndra said.

"And if I don’t sign it?" I asked.

"Then she will be cut off from her family until you do." Elyndra said.

"This is unbelievable." I mumbled as I signed the contract.

Elyndra then signed the witness line of the contract and sent it back to her ring.

"I apologize for burdening you." Hazel said looking at her feet.

"You’re not the one burdening me, your parents are. Now, can you tell me about yourself? I’ve never met a mouse-kin before." I said.

"I am twenty-one years old and I am a level sixteen shadow assassin." She said.

"Damn it, I’m not longer the oldest wife." Amber grumbled.

"Shadow assassin? You’re not a priestess? Why are you wearing those robes?" I asked.

"No I’m not a priestess, Elyndra just gave me these robes so I would blend in with her caravan." She answered.

"Do you have any combat gear?" I asked.

She nodded her head.

"Yes, I have enchanted assassin robes that my parents gave me when I unlocked my class. I also have shadow daggers too. I keep everything in my ring." She said showing me the storage ring on her hand.

Sarah stepped forward and wrapped her arm around Hazel’s shoulder and pulled her to the others.

"Welcome to the family I guess." Sarah said.

The others surrounded her and started talking as they led her away.

"Is this going to become a normal occurrence? The Primordials marrying me to their daughters?" I asked Elyndra.

"It probably won’t be the last time. The mouse-kin are one of the weaker races so they are probably trying to ally themselves with you through marriage." Elyndra chuckled.

"Why? I only just reached level fifty, what makes them think having me as an ally would benefit them?" I asked.

"That’s exactly why. Your growth is incredible. In just over one hundred days you are already level fifty, that is unheard of. There is something about you that has all the Primordials calling meetings with their children almost every other day. They are constantly asking the Goddess what you are doing at any given time." Elyndra said.

"Unheard of growth huh? That sounds like it could also become a reason to not become my ally." I said.

"True, some might start to think you are growing too fast and might become a threat of some kind." She said.

"Well please pass the word that I have no bad intentions to anyone that doesn’t threaten my family. The only actual enemy I have right not are the green goblins that are an imminent danger to my family." I said.

"I will pass along the message." She said.

Just then Azalea approached.

"I take it he found out about his new wife?" Azalea smirked.

"Yes he did." Elyndra chuckled.

"One daughter rescued from goblins and another married to the goblin who rescued her." Azalea sighed.

"Can you please not compare me to them?" I asked.

"I apologize lord Primordial, I didn’t mean to offend you." Azalea bowed.

"That’s okay, I just don’t like being compared to a race of rapists." I said.

"Completely understandable." Azalea said.

"You’re not here to be my wife too are you?" I asked.

"Ha, no. I’m an actual priestess of the Goddess." She laughed.

"Azalea is actually the second highest ranking priestess right behind me." Elyndra said.

"Really? Are all the high ranking priestesses children of Primordials?" I asked.

"No, only three of the top ten are." Azalea said.

"So how are the survivors doing?" I asked.

"The three unconscious ones are awake now. Our higher ranked healers have confirmed that every last one of them are pregnant, One of them just went into labor. Her water broke about ten minutes ago." Azalea said.

"I will have Hazel go to her sister." I said.

I waved over one of the peasant slaves and sent her to bring my wives back to me.

"Mr. Red, how deep into the forest do you plan on taking your family?" Azalea asked.

"To the center of it." I said.

"I heard you fought six goblin champions last night. Are you aware of the fact the deeper you got into the forest the stronger the monsters are?" She asked.

"I’ve been told." I replied.

"I don’t know all of the differences between your race and the green ones but goblins and orcs aren’t the only things in this forest. There are also ogres, and trolls." She said.

"I’ll stay alert." I said.

"Also, don’t be upset with Hazel. Marrying the child of a Primordial is considered a great gift among the Primordials. Since you are young you might not now it but a Primordial’s child has a longer lifespan than the rest of their race. Take for example your human wives, if they level high enough they can live for roughly a thousand years. But if they were children of the Primordials they could live three times longer. For people who are immortal like the Primordials it may not seem like a long time but when they want companionship a three thousand year relationship is preferable over a thousand year one." Elyndra said.

"Ah, I see." I replied.

The peasant slave returned with my wives and I turned to Hazel.

"Your sister is awake." I told her.

She quickly ran to the tents to see her sister.

"I like her." Sarah said.

"You like everyone." Amber said.

"I don’t like anyone who attacks our family." Sarah scoffed.

It took several hours before Elyndra and her people were ready to start loading the survivors into their caravan. At midday her caravan began it’s journey back to the city.

"Okay, we’re staying here until morning. Everyone can relax until then." I said.

I went to my tent and Sarah explained the tent setup to Hazel.

"This is Erik’s tent. He and his wives sleep in here, that includes you now. The three tents next to us are for the sisters. Also his two fox-kin women sleep in here with us too. Two of the sisters sleep with us as well but they only get two weeks before they switch with the next two sisters. The same goes for the combat classed sisters." Sarah explained.

"So twelve people are sleeping in this tent now?" Hazel asked.

"Counting you yes." Sarah said.

"Husband, while you were busy with the goblin cave yesterday and the survivors today you missed the first day of two women’s turns." Lucy said.

"Then their turns both begin in the morning." I said.

"Also, you need to go see Erin, she has something to tell you." Lucy explained.

I stepped out of the tents and sent a slave to get Erin before going back into my tent. Now that Elyndra’s caravan had left and our caravan isn’t leaving until morning I decided to take off my armor. Then I sat on the bed in the tent.

"Now then Hazel, as the head wife I have set some rules for all of the wives. Rules that even I follow." Sarah said.

"What are your rules?" Hazel asked.

"As you can see all of us are wearing cute little dresses, with no bras or panties. That is one of the rules." She said.

Hazel looked around at all of the wives.

"So you want me to do the same?" Hazel asked.

"That rule doesn’t just apply to the wives either. Every one of the women in his harem follows that rule. Us wives, the sisters the priestesses gave him, the combat sisters her bought, and both of his fox-kin concubines all follow that rule. None of us even own a single bra." Sarah explained.

Just then Erin entered the tent and looked around.
