Chapter 29: Thunder cat

Morning came and I lay on the bed, beside me were Mira and Lia, both naked and in my hands at the same time. I had similar situations in the past, yet somehow this was the best one so far. I felt happy, unusual for me to feel that happy.

I wanted this to remain for a bit, but Mira suddenly unleashed a wave of aura. It was explosive and powerful.

[Mira is awakening her bloodline]

I saw the message and was immediately shocked. I rose to my feet, Lia beside me looking at her as she was suspended above the ground. Her body crackled with lightning all around, each one slamming into the ground hard, marking the floor.

I got worried that the old man was going to kick us out for damaging his property, but there was no way to stop her now when she was in the middle of her awakening.

Lucky for us, she finally stopped, landing on the ground with her knees sprawled and her hands between her legs, her head was down. She stayed that way for a few seconds, and I did not know what was going on.

I was staring down at the system when Mira looked up. Her eyes did not hold the normal cold and calculated look she had, nor the depraved and hungry look she had last night. Instead, what she had was the look of genuine happiness and excitement.

She leaped off the ground and threw her hands around my neck in happiness.

"I awakened it, my bloodline awakening," her voice oozed with pure and unfiltered excitement, and I could not help but contact it as well. She was really excited, and she had the right to be.

"Thank you, master," she said excitedly.

"I did not do much, Mira. I only helped a bit," I said, trying to sound modest.

She let go of me and stepped back. She stared at her hands, and a few crackles of lightning formed on them, and she got even more excited.

"I can help master fully with this." She clenched her fist and said, ready to go all out with it.

"You still need to gather some experience, Lia and I as well. But with the three of us, there is no way we don’t master our strengths in a few days.

Since you have awakened, I guess you can come with us when you want."

"I’ll follow you whenever, master," she said with a cold glare that returned to her eye. "Anyone that dares stress master or try to harm him will die."

She spoke it like an oath, and she meant it with her heart.

"I like you a lot," Lia said. She seemed to agree with anything that now related to my safety, and she had taken the role of a leader in some way. She listened to me, but she ensured I was secure and safe first.

"We should clean up and head to the palace. This time we can stay in there for a few days and grind hard. We should take some stuff along with us."

"Alright, master, I’ll get right into it," Mira replied.

"Let’s go to our room, Lia. Let’s get ready." Lia nodded and followed behind me. She paused at the door and looked at Mira. She said something, but I did not hear it, so I did not bother with it. Ladies could have their own secrets as long as it did not interfere with our plans and what we had to do.

Mira’s POV:

As master walked out, Lia stopped at the door and looked at me.

"Let’s do well to serve our savior as best as we can, okay?" She said to me.

She normally called master his name, Tez, and it irked me silently. She did not have to use his name. It would have been better to call him master even if they were really close. But now, hearing her call master our savior immediately changed my view of her in seconds.

I understood her role perfectly now. She was not meant to be the same as me, rather she was made to become master’s closest friend and confidant. Master did not seem to like speaking to a lot of people, but he still needed someone to keep him level.

That was where Lady Lia came into play. She was just a figure, and as such, she gained the right to use his name that way. I wish I could be her and serve master, devote my life to the person who had saved me and showed me that there is more pleasure to life than simply slaving away for someone.

I wish I could be his confidant, and a part of me pushes me to chase after what Lia has, but I must control myself and not be too greedy. Master has shown me that he actually cares for me, the way he held me yesterday night and the way he moved. I was lucky.

As thoughts kept rushing back to me, I could not help but turn red from blushing. I slapped both my cheeks to snap me out, but even then, I could not stop smiling.

"Master is everything to me now, and I’ll serve him with all my strength," I declared in a low voice while looking at my palm. I allowed the lightning to crackle and travel around my hand. This was the power that mating with master had given me.

"I wonder what will happen if I keep mating with master. Will I get even more powerful? I guess there is only one way to find out."

I cleared my head after that and moved to find the clothes I would wear. The old man from below had gotten some good clothes for me, and they all fit me. It had been a while since I put on something good. The fabric felt good against my skin, and it kept me cosy.
