Primordial Heir: Nine Stars

Chapter 503: Khione Vs Werewolf

  • Next Chapter

Khione had already seen through the monster’s scheme.

Werewolves were known to be extremely intelligent and cunning monsters. The stronger ones could wield the Law of Wind to an astonishing degree, combining their physical strength with speed and cutting power to overwhelm their opponents before they could properly react.

This one was no different.

The moment Khione saw it, she could already imagine the way it had survived until now.

It had learned from humans.

It had watched countless mages enter this world.

It had learned their habits.

And now, after seeing the wand in her hand and sensing the Ice aura around her, it had immediately reached a conclusion.

Close the distance.

Don’t give the mage time to cast.

Kill her before she could unleash her magic.

A reasonable strategy.

Most mages didn’t enjoy close combat.

Their bodies were usually weaker than warriors, and their greatest strength came from their spells.

But there were always exceptions.

Modern mages had already learned how to incorporate physical combat into their fighting styles.

And Khione was far beyond the level of simply being able to defend herself.

The Werewolf’s claw descended.

Khione remained still.

Her frosty blue eyes calmly followed its movement.

At that exact moment—

The domain spread.

Silently.

Without any dramatic change in the surroundings.

Tiny particles of ice began appearing throughout the air.

They were so small that the naked eye could barely notice them.

Khione didn’t immediately lower the temperature.

She knew the Werewolf would sense it.

Instead, she maintained the surrounding temperature and concealed the presence of her domain.

The monster continued its attack.

It believed it had succeeded.

Its claw was already inches from Khione’s face.

Then—

Khione moved.

An ice dagger suddenly formed in her hand.

Clang!

The Werewolf’s claw collided with it.

Its expression changed instantly.

The force of the collision sent a shock through its arm.

"!!!"

The ice dagger hadn’t shattered.

It hadn’t even cracked.

Khione’s expression remained completely calm.

The Werewolf’s eye widened.

The mage had blocked its attack.

Not with a spell cast from a distance.

Not by retreating.

She had met its attack directly.

And before it could process what had happened—

Khione twisted her wrist.

The ice dagger slid beneath its claw.

The Werewolf immediately reacted.

Its body spun.

A powerful kick came toward Khione’s side while its tail simultaneously whipped toward her from the opposite direction.

Two attacks.

One from above.

One from behind.

Khione didn’t retreat.

She ducked beneath the kick.

The tail passed over her head.

At the same time, she thrust her free hand forward.

The ice particles surrounding the Werewolf suddenly entered its body.

Its eyes widened.

"—?"

Its movements became sluggish.

Only slightly.

But that was enough.

Khione stepped forward.

Her ice dagger flashed.

The Werewolf twisted its body at the last moment.

The blade passed across its fur instead of striking directly.

The monster immediately understood.

Those particles.

They had infiltrated its body.

They weren’t simply floating around her.

They were interfering with its movements.

The Werewolf growled.

It pushed more prana into its body.

The green aura surrounding it became stronger.

Wind exploded outward.

BOOM!

The ice particles were blasted away.

The Werewolf regained its speed.

It lunged again.

Khione’s eyes remained calm.

She created another ice dagger.

Then another.

Two blades appeared in her hands.

The Werewolf’s claws descended.

Clang!

Khione blocked.

The monster immediately followed with a second claw.

Clang!

She blocked again.

A third.

Clang!

Khione stepped sideways.

The claw missed.

Her right blade thrust forward.

The Werewolf twisted.

The blade passed beside its torso.

Its tail came around.

Khione raised her arm.

An ice shield formed.

BOOM!

The tail smashed into the shield.

Cracks spread across the ice.

Khione was pushed several meters backward.

She landed lightly.

The Werewolf didn’t give her a moment.

It charged again.

Khione’s eyes narrowed slightly.

So fast.

The Werewolf’s body blurred.

Wind wrapped around its legs.

Its speed increased again.

It appeared beside Khione.

Claw.

Kick.

Tail.

Claw.

The attacks came one after another.

Khione moved between them.

She ducked.

Turned.

Blocked.

Deflected.

Countered.

The battle became a blur of white and gray.

Clang!

BOOM!

SHING!

The Werewolf’s claws struck the ice blades repeatedly.

Every collision sent sparks of prana through the battlefield.

Khione’s white hair fluttered violently.

Yet her expression never changed.

The Werewolf’s confidence gradually disappeared.

It had expected the mage to panic.

Instead—

She was fighting it on equal terms.

No.

She was adapting faster.

The longer the battle continued, the more dangerous she became.

The Werewolf suddenly swung its claws downward.

Khione blocked.

It immediately twisted and launched a spinning kick.

Khione leaned backward.

The kick passed inches from her face.

The Werewolf’s tail followed.

Khione jumped.

The tail passed beneath her.

While still in the air, she created several ice blades.

They shot downward.

The Werewolf raised both arms.

Wind exploded around its body.

The blades shattered against the rotating barrier.

But Khione was already behind it.

She landed silently.

Her palm touched its back.

The Werewolf froze.

Not physically.

Its instincts simply told it that something was wrong.

Khione whispered.

"Too slow."

Ice exploded.

The Werewolf was thrown forward.

BOOM!

It crashed into the ground.

Before it could rise, dozens of ice spears appeared above it.

The monster roared.

A tornado suddenly formed around its body.

WHOOSH!

Wind erupted across the battlefield.

The ice spears were deflected.

The Werewolf stood again.

Its expression had changed completely.

The playful confidence was gone.

It understood now.

This wasn’t an ordinary mage.

Khione wasn’t merely capable of surviving close combat.

She was a close-combat fighter herself.

And she had been controlling the battlefield from the beginning.

The Werewolf looked around.

Only then did it notice the countless tiny ice particles floating through the air.

Its eye widened as if he finally understand.

Not that matters to her.

The Werewolf’s body suddenly began changing.

Its muscles tightened.

Wind poured out from its core.

The green aura around it became enormous.

The surrounding air began rotating faster and faster.

Then—

BOOM!

The Werewolf disappeared inside a massive tornado.

The battlefield was swallowed by wind.

A giant vortex tore across the ground.

Trees and rocks were lifted into the air.

The tornado rapidly expanded.

Khione stood in the center of the storm.

Her dress and white hair fluttered violently.

But she didn’t move.

The Werewolf’s howl echoed from within the tornado. As if trying to say to Khione.

"Let’s see how you defend against this!"

The tornado accelerated.

Khione raised her hand.

Ice began forming beneath her feet.

Then around her.

The surrounding ground slowly transformed.

Ice spread outward.

Walls rose.

Pillars emerged.

Towering structures formed one after another.

The battlefield disappeared beneath an enormous structure of ice.

A castle.

A vast frozen fortress rose from the ground.

Its towers pierced into the gray sky.

Its walls stretched across the battlefield.

The temperature finally dropped.

The concealment disappeared.

Khione’s domain completely revealed itself.

Her frosty blue eyes glowed.

"Desolate Ice Castle."

The tornado slammed into the castle.

BOOM!

The entire area trembled.

The Werewolf attempted to break through.

Again.

BOOM!

Again.

BOOM!

But the castle didn’t collapse.

Instead, the ice walls continuously regenerated.

The Werewolf’s expression changed as if to say.

"What is this?!"

The tornado rushed through the castle corridors.

But every path led deeper inside.

Ice walls rose around it.

The battlefield had become a maze.

And every inch of it belonged to Khione.

The Werewolf increased its speed.

The tornado became smaller.

Denser.

Sharper.

The wind condensed until the entire vortex became a gigantic blade.

It tore through the castle.

BOOM!

One tower collapsed.

Another was destroyed.

But Khione simply raised her hand.

The shattered ice returned.

The castle regenerated.

The Werewolf roared.

It pushed everything it had into the attack.

The tornado suddenly compressed into a single point.

Then it shot toward Khione.

BOOM!

Khione raised both hands.

A massive wall of ice appeared.

The tornado collided with it.

CRACK!

The wall cracked.

Khione’s expression remained calm.

Another wall formed.

Then another.

The tornado broke through each one.

But every layer slowed it down.

Until finally—

The Werewolf emerged directly in front of Khione.

Its claws were already descending.

Khione looked directly into its eye.

The monster grinned.

It had finally reached her.

But Khione’s expression didn’t change.

The ice particles that had remained inside its body suddenly reacted.

The Werewolf’s movement slowed.

Only for an instant.

But that was enough.

Khione stepped forward.

Her hand touched its chest.

The entire castle responded.

Every wall.

Every tower.

Every piece of ice.

All of it released its power at once.

The Werewolf’s eyes widened in disbelief.

"Impossible—"

Ice erupted around it.

Its body was completely sealed inside the castle.

The tornado disappeared.

Silence returned.

Khione stood before the frozen prison.

Then she slowly closed her hand.

The ice tightened.

A final wave of cold passed through the castle.

The Werewolf’s presence disappeared.

The battle was over.

Khione lowered her hand.

The enormous Desolate Ice Castle remained standing for a few seconds before gradually dissolving into countless ice particles.

The battlefield returned to normal.

Khione stood alone.

Her white hair settled against her back.

Her frosty blue eyes remained calm.

Another powerful monster had fallen.

And her score continued to rise.

She simply turned away.

Her lips curling upward, she had to hunt more, slaughter more.

’’I wonder how my Ner, is doing.’’ an uncharacteristically possessive words, not that she mind, it’s true after all, he is hers and she has no intention to let any vixen take him, he is hers and hers alone.
