Chapter 969 Sisters “Reunion”

[Quest: Killing Six Hundred Beasts in the Saint Realm and Above]

“Phew.” Ling Yun breathed a sigh of relief after he killed the last beast, especially since the number of beasts he had to kill continued to increase with the increase in his quest level, and he had even killed almost two thousand beasts since he came to the Burial Realm, making the demihumans feel sad because of his actions.

Ling Yun then put away his chaos dragon scythe before turning in several other directions to observe his wives, partners, and families who were training so hard. He suddenly saw Helena, who was flying hurriedly towards him, and asked her. “Why are you in such a hurry?”

“She was too impatient to wait for Zhou Yu to come back.” Ling Xi, who was flying behind Helena, answered him first.

After she landed in front of him, Helena immediately hugged Ling Yun. “It’s been three days since Big Sis Yu said she would return to this realm, but she still hasn’t arrived here. I haven’t seen my eldest sister for several years, so I really can’t wait to meet her.”

“I understand your feelings, but you just need to be patient for a little longer.” Ling Yun replied, hugging Helena back. “Moreover, you yourself already know Lillia’s condition, and she still can’t recognize you now, so it’s useless if you’re impatient like this.”

“I know, but-”

“But what?”

They were surprised to hear the voice, so they immediately turned to the front. They saw Zhou Yu walking out of the void with Lillia on her shoulder. Helena immediately let go of her embrace of Ling Yun and approached them. She looked at her big sister’s face with a longing gaze, but her heart was sad, remembering that she couldn’t recognize her.

Wasting no time, Ling Yun opened the port to his Yin-Yang Chamber and brought the four of them inside, and Zhou Yu immediately laid Lillia on the bed so Ling Xi could check her condition.

As they expected, Ling Xi couldn’t do anything to recover Lillia’s memories, so they had no other solution but to go to the Netherworld Realm. Unfortunately, the serious problems they faced prevented them from entering that realm anytime soon, and Vadin’s strength far outmatched theirs.

Since they didn’t have a solution to the problem, Ling Yun decided to use the dream creation technique on the two women before bringing them into the dream space. After all, he had set the flow of time in his space to be very fast, and he wanted to take advantage of that by leaving Helena and Lillia in there. That way, they could spend a very long time together, which might help her recall all of her memories.

As soon as she opened her eyes, Lillia instinctively took several steps back, especially after she saw Ling Yun and Helena. Even so, her gaze only focused on her little sister, mainly because Zhou Yu had shared her images with her before, but she still doubted that she was her little sister.

“Eldest sister.” Helena called out softly, and her tone was filled with longing; tears even dripped from the corners of her eyes.

“Stop!” Lillia shouted while stretching her hands forward as soon as Helena was about to approach her. “That woman did tell me about you, but I don’t know you, and I don’t believe that you are my sister.”

Her words made Helena’s heart ache, but she could understand Lillia’s condition, and she turned to Ling Yun. “Husband, you have complete control over this space, right? Can you change this place according to my memories of our realm and time?”

“That’s an easy matter.” Ling Yun confidently answered, especially since Ling Xi had transferred many of Helena’s memories to him a few days ago in preparation for facing Lillia, and he immediately snapped his fingers.

Instantly, the place turned dark, and the area around them became completely similar to the area in the Netherworld realm, including the buildings. Besides, there were several young figures who appeared at the same time as the place changed, and they were the young Helena along with her other sisters and brothers, including the young Lillia.

After seeing that, Lillia was stunned for a moment, and she definitely recognized her younger self. However, she had absolutely no memories of the young Helena or the others, especially since Vadin had erased those memories and implanted new ones in her memory.

“Did you see them, Eldest Sister?” Helena softly questioned Lillia. “These are our sisters and brothers, and they come from my memories of all of you. Back then, I was still young when you guys helped me escape from our realm, and I haven’t returned to it yet, so my memories of you guys are frozen in time.”

Helena saw Lillia’s confusion and approached her, taking her hand. This time, Lillia didn’t reject her; her attention was solely focused on the memories before her. “Eldest sister, I’m sorry; you became like this because you saved me from Vadin’s hands, and he has erased our memories from your memories.”

“Are you… really my sister?” Lillia questioned Helena in a trembling voice, particularly because those memories had a profound impact on her, leaving her with a sense of emptiness as she struggled to recall them. Fortunately, she didn’t feel tormented by the current version of herself, as it was simply her subconscious.

“Yes, we are both sisters from the same parents.” Helena nodded to Lillia. “I know that you can’t remember us now, but I will try my best to help you remember everything. If necessary, I will go to our realm to force Vadin to restore your memories, so we can gather together like before.”

“No, don’t do that; Lord Vadin is too strong.” Lillia answered with a strong shake of her head. “Even I can’t move in front of him, so you guys won’t be able to fight him.”

“You don’t know anything about us, so you still look down on us now.” Lillia immediately turned to Ling Yun with a frown. “You are not wrong that the current us are not Vadin’s opponents, but all of us will continue to grow as time passes, and we have many things that other cultivators don’t have. Moreover, you have met some of our allies before, and Zhou Yu can even capture and bring you to me, so I’m confident that we can help you recover your memories.”

Lillia didn’t deny that, especially since she knew that Tian Huang and Ling Tian were no less powerful than Vadin, but she still had several demons whose strength was almost equal to hers.

“All right, you don’t need to think about that. I promised my wife to help you, so I will fulfill my promise to her.” Ling Yun then turned to Helena and nodded at her. “For now, I will leave you two in this place, and you can tell your eldest sister a lot of things you remember; hopefully they can help her remember a little.”

After Ling Yun disappeared from their sight, Lillia immediately asked Helena. “Was that man truly your husband? Can you show me your demon form?”

“Yes, Ling Yun is my husband, and we met when I was stranded in the lower realm.” Helena then hugged Lillia’s arm and took her for a walk. “Unfortunately, we are no different from ordinary humans when we are here, so I can’t show you my demon form, but I will show it to you when we leave this place. For now, I just want to spend time with you and reminisce about all the times we spent together in the past, especially since I haven’t seen you for so long.”

Lillia nodded to Helena, as she herself wanted to understand what really happened to her and their relationship. “What exactly is this place? Why can your husband manage it as he pleases? He can even create a replica that is completely similar to our realm; even Vadin can’t do such a thing with his current cultivation.”

“Hehe.” Helena giggled and turned to Lillia. “Eldest sister, this is one of my husband’s special abilities, and this place is the dream space, so the two of us are just our consciousness now. Moreover, the flow of time in this place is very long, so we can spend hundreds of years or even thousands of years together in this place, but time in the outside world will not pass that long.”

“Huh?” Lillia turned to Helena in shock. “So this place is no different from a dream?”

“Yes.” Helena responded with a nod. “Since we will be spending time together for so long, I will tell you many things, starting from our childhood.”

“All right.”

After that, Helena started telling her the story of their childhood, and Lillia walked beside her while seriously listening to her every word.

Meanwhile, Ling Yun had already brought the two spirit women out of the Yin-Yang Chamber, and he immediately said so to them. “We’ll go meet those demihumans now, but we won’t spend much time with them, and we’ll leave this realm after we meet them.”

They were not surprised by Ling Yun’s change of decision, and they were actually happy with his decision. “So are we going straight to the mysterious tower right away?”
