Primordial 'Dual Cultivator' Dragon With System
Chapter 1806: Rebuild His Soul Sea VIII
Ling Yun’s clone walked side by side with Liao Shuzhen along the sandy beach. "What did you want to talk to me about?"
"Do you hate me?" That was the first question that crossed Liao Shuzhen’s mind; Ling Yun’s attitude toward her was truly baffling.
Ling Yun stopped walking and faced her. "Why do you think I hate you?"
"I don’t know." Liao Shuzhen paused and looked at his face. "Since I arrived at your residence, I’ve felt that you’ve been keeping your distance from me. I know you do the same with Sister Xuanyue and Sister Qinzhi, but I feel that you treat them a little differently than you treat me."
Ling Yun shook his head. "It’s just your feelings. I’ve never treated the three of you differently. However, I’m a little disappointed in you because you insist on following Huang Lingzhu’s ideas regarding the prosperity of the immortal race."
"Why?"
Ling Yun sighed. "Do you know the problem between Huang Lingzhu and me in the past?"
"Sister Ming has already told me everything."
"I see." Ling Yun nodded slightly. "Huang Lingzhu has toyed with and manipulated Ling Xi’s life, and she also caused the death of her first love, which made her life miserable. She also fabricated stories about Xiao Xiao’s future, which forced my parents-in-law to send her to Earth."
"Do you hate Sister Lingzhu that much?"
"I used to hate her so much, and I considered torturing her before turning her into my slave." Liao Shuzhen was stunned listening to Ling Yun’s honest confession; she did not expect that he would have such thoughts towards Huang Lingzhu. "Even though I no longer hate her like in the past, I still can’t completely forgive her, and I’m still wary of her. She is the most cunning woman I have ever met, and I cannot understand her thoughts because she is the oldest living creature in this universe."
Liao Shuzhen did not refute Ling Yun; she herself knew that Huang Lingzhu was too cunning, and her mind was always planning all sorts of things without any warning. Even so, she realized that the Time Lord was a kind woman; she planned everything for the good of their universe.
Ling Yun continued. "If you hadn’t thought about following her ideas, I might have treated you differently."
"Is that true?"
"Yeah." Ling Yun nodded. "Honestly, I have to admit the beauty of the three of you, but I realize that your levels are far above mine. Besides, I already have too many wives, so I don’t have the mind to approach the three of you. If Old Dragon hadn’t sent Dongfang Qinzhi into his trap, our relationship would be no different from the relationship I have with you now."
Liao Shuzhen nodded in understanding. "Among the three of us, Sister Qinzhi is the coldest—even colder than Sister Xuanyue. Sister Xuanyue is cold by nature, but she is actually a cheerful and gentle woman. On the contrary, Sister Qinzhi is cold because of the situation, and she is quite rude, especially towards men."
Ling Yun remembered the first time the three female immortals came to his residence, and Dongfang Qinzhi was indeed the coldest and rudest among them. Even after Long Hun tied their souls together, she acted coldly towards him, but her coldness didn’t last long, and she eventually became his woman. "How about you?"
"Me? I’m neither cold nor rude, and I always act according to the situation." Liao Shuzhen told Ling Yun about her life, including her choice to blend in with those mortals in the past, which earned her the title of the Virtuous Immortal. "Even though I am one of the immortals, I really enjoyed my time when I lived among them, and I learned a lot about their lives. Compared to my life, their lives were more colorful and happier."
Ling Yun chuckled. "You immortals only think about cultivation and the like, which makes your lives monotonous and boring. Unlike you guys, we mortals have to think about many things to improve our lives, such as socializing, connections, money, and many others."
"You’re right." Liao Shuzhen agreed with him, and she had seen all that since she decided to blend in with those mortals. "Even though mortals will die when their lifespans run out, I feel jealous of them. Sometimes I think about what it would be like if I weren’t born as an immortal, and I could experience sadness, joy, and other feelings, like them."
"Do you regret being born as an immortal?"
"Even if I did, I couldn’t change my fate, could I?" Ling Yun nodded at Liao Shuzhen. "What about you? You were born as a mortal, yet you already possess immortal energy. That energy is growing stronger by the day, and eventually, you will become an immortal, just like me."
Ling Yun sighed, sat down on the sand, and hugged his legs. "Honestly, I never dreamed of becoming immortal, you know? I cultivated to protect myself and my loved ones, but Ling Xi did something unexpected, and immortal energy started to grow within me from then on."
"Fundamentally, a mortal can never become an immortal, which is why the number of immortals never grows." Liao Shuzhen sat beside him. "Honestly, I never knew that the method Ling Xi used to sacrifice Invidia for you existed, so I was genuinely shocked when Sister Ming told me that you have immortal energy in your body. What baffles me the most is the birth of your children; some of them are beasts and immortals—mainly because you are neither a beast nor an immortal."
"Haha," Ling Yun laughed bitterly because he didn’t have an answer regarding the birth of his children. "I myself don’t understand how some of my children could be born as beasts and immortals. Perhaps Chaos’s words about me are true, and I am a single anomaly in our universe."
Liao Shuzhen turned to him. "What do you mean by anomaly?"
Ling Yun sighed softly and looked up at the sky; he recounted several things to her, especially regarding Tang Xiao’s will that he left behind in their universe.
Liao Shuzhen had heard of Tang Xiao, but she had never heard that he left his will in their universe, let alone the story that Ling Yun was born from it. She was completely shocked after hearing all this, and she finally understood the reason behind Huang Lingzhu and Chaos’s decision to prioritize him so much.
Liao Shuzhen observed his face and his expression. "Do you regret everything?"
"Why should I regret it?" Ling Yun asked with a smile that wasn’t a smile. "The only thing I’ve ever regretted in my life is the immortal energy in my body, but I never blamed Ling Xi for that. She’s suffered for so long, and she didn’t want to suffer any more by losing me, so she did that for me. Moreover, I have the opportunity to change the situation, and I only need to defeat Chaos and take over his position for that."
"Are you confident you can defeat Chaos?"
"I have no confidence," Ling Yun sighed. "After all, Chaos is the core of this universe, and he created everything from scratch. Even so, I will never give up, and I will strive to defeat him in our future battles. If I succeed in defeating him, I will create new bodies for all my wives and children, and I will place their souls into those new bodies after they die."
"Shouldn’t you be able to transfer their souls into new bodies without waiting for them to die?"
"Hmm?" Ling Yun looked at her in surprise. "Is something like that really possible?"
"Yes." Liao Shuzhen nodded at him. "I don’t have the method, but Shiwang Zhizhu should have the method to do it."
"Shiwang Zhizhu is the Lord of Death, right?"
Liao Shuzhen nodded again. "Shiwang Zhizhu’s ability is the opposite of Sister Ming’s. If Sister Ming’s ability is related to life and recovery, Shiwang Zhizhu’s ability is related to death and resurrection. If you want to know more details, you should talk to him in person, and he might be willing to teach you his method."
"I will talk to Shiwang Zhizhu, but not now." Ling Yun fell into thought. "If such a thing can be done, I don’t need to worry about their deaths. I need to focus on defeating Chaos, and I will create immortal bodies for them after I defeat him. That way, they don’t need to experience death, and I can turn them into immortals without any complicated processes. By the way, let’s stop talking about this matter, and I want to hear more about your life."
Liao Shuzhen’s mood improved after hearing that, and she told Ling Yun many things, starting from her birth. That way, he could understand her better, and she hoped all her stories would change his opinion of her.
In accordance with his promise to her, Ling Yun spent several days accompanying Liao Shuzhen, allowing him to get to know her more deeply. However, he was unwilling to fulfill her desire to conceive his child, and he asked her to wait until their relationship deepened.

Twenty-seven days flew by in the outside world—equivalent to nine months within the Yunlong Zhuzhai.
Through frequent communication, the relationship between Ling Yun and Liao Shuzhen grew increasingly close. Not only that, but his relationship with Bai Xuanyue also improved significantly, as she would constantly come to him to chat.
Meanwhile, Dongfang Qinzhi’s belly was getting bigger, and she would give birth to Ling Yun’s child in the next few days.

Chaos, Huang Lingzhu, Sheng Ming, and Dongfang Qinzhi stood around Ling Yun’s real body. They sensed a powerful movement from his body; they knew he had successfully created his new soul sea.
"Phew." Ling Yun opened his eyes and looked at them. "Let’s take a look at my new soul sea."
