Chapter 325 - Last
Everyone had assumed something important to be inside the radiant mountain ring dimension.
But to think that there was really a dungeon, nobody could help but feel excited.
At the same time, the races that had gathered could tell that the situation had tensed up quite a bit since the news had reached them.
While the rough coordinates of the dungeon had been exposed, its possible dangers and the fact that the entire Miac alliance had built a ginormous fortress around it, spoke volumes about the dungeon's value.
Despite everyone being selfish, the gathered races knew that selfishly demanding everything for themselves was ridiculous.
The Miac alliance had the most power inside the radiant mountain ring dimension making it difficult to defeat them, to begin with.
Now the gathered basic races had just thought about abandoning and betraying each other for claiming the unknown treasures hidden inside the dungeon?
How foolish could one be? The Miac alliance wouldn't accept the race that had betrayed the other gathered races, and only by working together, there was a way to get a portion of the dungeon's benefits.
.Shane was not sure how great a dungeon was, but he knew that the Primordial Dimensions had many places that allowed everyone to challenge themselves to become stronger while fighting life and death battles to reap more benefits.
Dungeons, ancient ruins, and hidden realms were such places and there were many more of them.
In the beginning, Shane had wanted to enter the dungeon inside the radiant mountain ring dimension.
But on second thought, he couldn't help but feel that it was too dangerous.
The higher the rewards one could obtain, the more dangerous and risky the task was.
Thus, even without seeing the dungeon, Shane could tell how valuable it was by simply looking at the way the Miac alliance had acted from the beginning.
In his opinion, they should have already entered it once in order to determine its value and then create a huge number of overlord beast tides that were supposed to eliminate the surrounding shelters.
After that, everything had become more suspicious, and Shane could easily tell that he and the others shouldn't take both the Miac alliance's persistence and the dungeon lightly!
'If I want to enter the dungeon, I'll have to become stronger first!'
It had been more than 2 years since he had entered the Primordial Dimensions, yet it felt like only a few days, or at most a month had passed.
However, there was something very interesting he'd found out during the last few days in which he had established more connections.
Juran had told him something about a [Primordial Tournament(basic)] that was held every five years throughout all dimensions.
Shane had heard a lot about this tournament, but what most of his connections along with Juran had told him was that almost all of it was a bloody mess.
That was mostly because nobody of the human race had dared to participate in it since a few overly confident prodigies had been killed by the prodigies of other races.
Normally it wouldn't have been enough to intimidate humans, but the prodigies had had a mana purity of more than 90%, yet they had been killed in a single attack!
This meant that only the cream of the crop should participate in the Primordial tournament, and only if they could face death head-on!
Because it was only the basic tournament, only beings that were still able to enter the basic dimensions were allowed to participate in it!
Nevertheless, only the strongest of the strong beasts and foreign races would dare to apply for the Basic Primordial tournament that would be held in less than a year!
The system would inform everyone once one was eligible to apply for the tournament, and Shane began to wonder what kind of rewards one could obtain by claiming first place in such a dangerous event.
According to Juran, the awards were highly rewarding and were able to change one's fate completely.
Manuals like a perfect body refining technique were the lowest possible reward, and the winner could almost earn through it!
By looking at the events that had occurred during the last few months with a rational eye, Shane was able to decipher that the Miac alliance's reason to claim the dungeon for themselves was simple.
They wanted to reap as many benefits as possible in order to win and receive rewards from the Primordial Tournament!
It was not unlikely that the most prodigious talents who would survive the dangers of a dungeon would gain a lot, allowing them to become stronger.
In return, this increased their chances to get a high ranking, if not being placed among the top 3 who would receive unfathomable rewards!
Rumors were ripe that a Crimson eagle had been able to claim the faint bloodline of a three-colored phoenix after winning the Tournament.
This was nothing but a rumor, yet Shane thought that it was not unlikely.
The strongest were those that obtained the most benefits after all!
Shane was sure that he would be unable to do anything with his current strength that was barely enough to fight against prodigies with a mana purity of around 90%.
And that was mostly due to Umbra, who was strong enough to face almost every opponent, except the strongest of the strong.
Other than that, there was Cosmo, who was a great beast to support him from the sidelines.
Thinking about Cosmo, Shane remembered that the cooldown for his next quality enhancement had ended a day ago.
Thus, he took a look at his quality enhancement that was most likely the highest Cosmo could achieve!

[To upgrade the quality of selected beast [Lesser Starlet Fox(Cosmo)] from its initial quality (Extraordinary) to (Legendary) following materials are required.
Yadrani flower [Extraordinary](0/3)
[Spatial] mana stones [Tier-2 (Legendary)] (0/10)
Stone of the beginning (0/1)
[Commence quality upgrade] [Y/N]]

Shane was not sure what he should think about the ridiculous requirements to enhance Cosmo's quality.
However, after realising that enhancing his quality to [Legendary] could help his beast evolve by taking the strongest possible evolution path, Shane couldn't help but smile.
'Will he receive the [Limit breaker] title after reaching his racial limit too? It should be possible because of [Artemis' blessing] and the [Ancient ring of the Susurro] that enhance Umbra and Cosmo's quality!'
Evolving Cosmo would probably need more than three months. Yet, this was something he could worry about later as Shane was not even sure if the Cosmic fox was something that could remain inside the basic dimension.
It was extremely unlikely, and he assumed that the Cosmic fox was a beast at the Myst stage, at the bare minimum!
As such, evolving Cosmo was not feasible before Shane could ensure that he would liquefy his mana shortly after!
Fulfilling the requirements for Cosmo's evolution was easier said than done.
He told Talia to keep an eye on the Primordial Shops and inform him if the Yadrani flowers at the [Extraordinary] quality and a Stone of the beginning were sold in any of them.
By using the system to purchase everything he required, he spent almost 500,000 gold coins though somewhere he knew that he would have received everything at a much cheaper price.
He purchased 10 mana stones with spatial affinity transmuted mana for more than 10,000 gold coins because the mana stones were of the [Legendary] quality.
As for the rest, Shane waited for Talia to procure it because he had no time to search for the necessary items.
It was great to have a team working under him, and Shane couldn't help but be thankful for the Astral Artisans and Starlight guild.
Everyone was working hard to become stronger, and even if it was mostly in order to reap more benefits for themselves, Shane was more than happy about it!
In the end, everyone had to fight for themselves, but helping each other when possible was a great way to achieve one's goals.
