Chapter 1640 Whereabouts of the 13 Divine Wonders
Kent sat with Malak on his right and Nexorphis on his left.
Mila and the 10 Celestials were all beasts that followed the Nine-Tailed Vagabond Fox. According to his memories, they had died, but now they are alive, and not only they, but they have also become Celestials. Naturally, he wanted to know how any of this was possible.
“So why don’t we start with why you eleven are alive and why this kingdom exists?”
Kent asked, knowing that answering this question would reveal the whereabouts of the Nine-Tailed Vagabond Fox, or at least what happened after he jumped into the Chaos Gate and closed it.
Mila answered, “If you are wondering how we are still alive, then know it was thanks to My Lady, who used her status as an Overlord to send the eleven of us through the cycle of reincarnation to undergo true reincarnation.
We reincarnated here a million years ago and have been waiting for you to arrive ever since. As for this kingdom, it had been here long before we came. The former rulers and strongest experts migrated to the Abyss Layer to directly serve under My Lady.”
“So Yukiko is here, huh?”
“Yes, and she has been expecting you. She knew you would be coming here and that we would be meeting today. In fact, she knew you would offend that madman, so she gave instructions to ensure you did not face any trouble until we met.”
Kent chuckled. “She had always been that perceptive. But I am happy to hear she is alive.”
Yukiko, or as the rest of the universe knew her, the Nine-Tailed Vagabond Fox, possessed many extraordinary qualities. She excelled at illusion, space, and time. However, she could also see into the future and perform divinations.
In fact, it was thanks to that ability of hers that the Divine Beast Tamer was able to meet the other 12 Divine Wonders.
So learning that she still lived and was in the Tormented Chaos Abyss put a smile on Kent’s face.
“Though I have to ask, are the Overlords of the Forbidden and Abomination members of the Divine Wonders?”
“No. Only My Lady is here. Those two are creations of that madman. While they are powerful, they pale in comparison to My Lady, Lady Huyan, or Lord Zhentian.”
Huyan was the Devastating Forbidden Lightning Phoenix, and Zhentian was the Star Devouring Abomination Ant. Both of them were among the most dangerous beasts during the Chaos Era.
“Then do you know where the others are? I told them to wait for my return, so I trust they each went into hiding.”
Mila nodded. “My Lady told me that all 13 of them went to different Banished Zones. She came to the Star Realm with Lord Zhentian. She came here while Lord Zhentian went to the Upside-Down Cliff, another banished zone in the Star Realm.
As for the others, she said Lady Huyan went to a Banished Realm called Lightning Land. It is not in this Star Realm, but somewhere out there.
Aside from her, Lord Voraxion entered one of the Calamity Zones, a place called No Man’s Land. They are the only ones I know of. When you meet My Lady, she will tell you more.”
Despite hearing where some of his Divine Wonders had gone, Kent did not seem bothered. Deep down, he knew that no matter where they had gone, they would be fine.
They were not weak, and knowing that all of them were Overlords put his mind at ease.
“When can we meet Yukiko? I am sure she misses me greatly.”
Mila nodded, knowing her lady surely missed Kent. After all, she had been the Divine Beast Tamer’s first Beast companion and also the first to experience the power of the Divine Beast Tamer.
It could be said that she was the one who tested all of the Divine Beast Tamer’s inventions. Some experiments went badly, while others yielded results, and she had been through it all.
So the relationship they shared was much closer than the one he shared with the other Divine Wonders.
“We will go after you are done forming the Vagabond Contract with all of us. We have been living without a purpose, so since you are here now, we have to get right on it.”
Kent nodded.
He already knew how powerful his incarnation as the Divine Beast Tamer was, so forming a contract with all the Vagabond Beasts here would not only expand and strengthen his soul but also allow him to unlock some aspects of his power and finally clear the quest to gain access to the Secret Manual.
“Before we get to that, what can you tell me about the Sentients?”
“They are a peaceful race, if you ask me. They are also humans with wings, so I suppose you can say they are angels. I’ve only been to their kingdom once, but I counted no fewer than a million of them.
They have an Overlord in the Abyss Layer, and My Lady said we should be careful around them. Why she did not go deeper with her warning, I believe, had to do with their Overlord.
In the past, the Abominations tried to mess with them, but it ended badly for them, so we did our best not to step on their toes, and they also left us alone.
If you are asking this so you can visit them, I would suggest you meet with My Lady first.” Mila paused and thought for a moment before adding, “I learned they were banished because they chose not to bow to a certain powerful ruler who lives outside this Banished Zone.”
“I see. Then how about we get on with the contracts?”
A few minutes later, Kent was outside, beginning to create a large formation to contract with all 1.2 million Vagabonds.
From what he had seen and heard so far, the Void Beasts, Forsaken Race, Dark Fiends, Foreign Races, and Chaos Beings were still a threat. So forming more contracts to build his army was not such a bad idea.
It would take him one week and five days to finish the contracts. By then, the Evil Queen would awaken, and things would start to take shape.
—
Meanwhile, far within the Forbidden Kingdom, a man—a demonic-looking dragon man with several tattoos covering his body—stood atop a tree, his hands clasped behind his back, his gaze directed at the five powerful Star Beasts locked in battle with a Supreme Forbidden Beast.
The five Star Beasts were all Universal Gods, so naturally, the battle was not going their way.
However, as he continued to watch, he saw the will to live burning in the eyes of the Star Beasts, whom he would later come to learn had been banished from the Star Realm to this place.
“They would make perfect Evil Agents,” he muttered, taking a step forward. A few seconds later, he stood just 200 meters away from the battle.
“I don’t need a seer to tell me you five won’t be leaving here alive. Luckily for you, I can help you kill this monster, but at a price.”
“Name your price, demon,” one of them, a slim yet short-looking man with a sharp gaze and quick movements, asked while dancing between the deadly attacks of the Supreme Beast.
“The price is simple. You five will serve my majestic self for 100 years. If you agree, then let’s sign the contract, and I will help you…”
