Chapter 1608 The Secret Manual
[The forbidden contract had been successfully signed.]
[Assimilation: 30%]
[The more you assimilate with your beast companion, the more benefits you both share.]
[You must name your forbidden beast companion to unlock their evolution path]
Kent sensed a much deeper connection with Yeti. This connection, in some ways, even felt much stronger than the ones he had formed with Yggzrael and the others.
It is clear to him that perhaps forbidden contracts are much more powerful compared to grim contracts, or maybe this was due to Yeti being stronger than the Chaos Beasts he formed the Grim Contract with.
However, he could tell that naming Yeti would further strengthen the connection.
‘Calling a Yeti a Yeti sounds like terrible naming. I’d better find a good name for him,’ Kent began to think, but as if there had been a name prepared already, a rather good name popped up in his head.
He had no idea where the name came from, but he felt it would suit Yeti like how Kaizo’s name suited him.
“From today onwards, your name shall be Kharvok,”
Just as Kent said that, he felt Kharvok’s connection to him fully form, and that was when his soul grew much stronger and denser.
‘Damn,’
[Congratulations, your forbidden beast named Kharvok has unlocked his evolution potentials.]
[Evolution Potential]
↠ Bloodline: Supreme Frost Chaos Devourer (Incomplete)
↠ True Forbidden (Incomplete)
↠ Innate Body (Incomplete)
↠ Bloodline Monarch: 30%
[Complete this evolution potential to unlock the next evolution potential]
Kent nodded at this.
The potentials that Kharvok is destined to reach aren’t static. If, after he becomes a True Forbidden with a supreme-grade bloodline, there is another evolution potential he must tackle.
That alone is enough to show the kind of monster Kent now has under his belt.
“Here, take this and swallow it. Having you as a 40-foot-tall Yeti is cool, but I want a much more human appearance to make things easier.”
Kent tossed the pill to Kharvok with a smile on his face.
The reason he always made it a must to ensure his beasts had humanoid bodies was the benefits that come with humanoid forms.
While the true beast body is always the strongest, a human body makes it easier to adapt to society. Inside the tower, he may have it easy with the people there, since they know none of the beasts would devour them.
But what about outside? How would people treat a forbidden as large as Kharvok walking among them?
Kharvok swallowed the pill, and Kent nodded in satisfaction.
He turned to the other four. “Once Kharvok is done awakening his innate body, we will head over to the Western Region and have a talk with the demigods there.”
They nodded, and Kent walked to the side and sat down. Then, reaching into his storage, he pulled out a manual with a black, tattered cover.
On the black cover, barely visible, a text read, “Secret accounts recovered and preserved by the unknown writer.”
‘Unknown writer, who is that,’
He didn’t think much about that and simply flipped to the first page and started to read…

“This is the account of what happened after my one and true Evil King left the Star Realm to fight the unknown horrors of the universe. My name is irrelevant; however, whoever reads this manual should know that the peace built by the Evil King had fractured and would deteriorate over time.
“When the Evil King created the Three Heavens, finally bringing peace to the Star Realm, everyone expected those with large egos to continue to abide by his rules. Of course, for a moment they did, but then the spark that signified the eternal life of the Evil King dimmed, and with that, they grew horns and wings.
“Seven Grand Rulers were selected, but only three remained loyal. They remember the benevolence of the Evil King and, to date, follow his rules. The other four had declared their stance and, over the years, had committed all kinds of crimes to maintain their rule.
“Here is an account of the one who calls himself Grand Dark Lich Banabas, a mad scientist and the leader of a chimeric race.
“Grand Dark Lich Banabas believed that only by creating the perfect race could there ever be true peace in the universe. He never believed the star race was at its peak potential, so he sought to correct that.
“This led him to create the Forbidden Qi, an unknown power whose origin nobody knew. His intelligence is commendable; however, he channeled it into something darker and more unethical, resulting in the birth of the first forbidden.
Their arrival made him happy and more ambitious, so he went further, making sure the forbidden became better and more deadly. From his point of view, only by possessing no weakness can one truly be perfect.
Eventually, he succeeded in creating the first True Forbidden, one capable of wielding great power. His success birthed the first True Forbiddens, who would later aid in his conquest across many banished realms.
Later, after his forbidden grew increasingly powerful, he created the Abominations as his ultimate force. They were beings created for battle and nothing else.
Unfortunately for him, the abominations weren’t as accepting as the forbidden. So they rebelled, and he was forced to seal them.
However, by sealing them, he had inadvertently locked a ticking time bomb that would one day swallow the Star Realm whole. Rumor has it he is working toward reclaiming them one day after they have undergone the evolutions many call the Corruption.
If a forbidden can become a True Forbidden, then an Abomination has the potential to become a Corrupted.
Others tried to stop him, but they failed. However, one thing is certain: until all abominations and forbidden beasts are dealt with, the realm will know no peace.
Lord Evil King had worked to bring us peace, but in his absence, we shattered that peace, and now we are back to where we were before he came, just that this time, we have mad men running the show.
If you are reading this and believe you can contribute to eradicating all the forbidden and abominations, visit the Banished Realms and try your luck. I wish you all success in your endeavor, and may the darkness of the Evil King shine on you all.”

Kent closed the manual, closed his eyes, and took a deep breath. When he opened them again, waves of killing intent flashed across them, causing his four demigod beast companions to turn and look at him with puzzled expressions.
Inwardly, Kent seethes with anger.
‘That bastard, I knew he was up to something when I smacked his face in the last time,’ Images of when the Ruthless Bandit fought seven Celestials at the same time, when he was merely a Supreme, and defeated them all flashed through his mind.
‘To think he was responsible for all these things,’ a smile formed on Kent’s face, one filled with evil intentions. ‘Good. This is good. I will make sure this time around, he feels the greatest kind of pain his soul would abandon him even during reincarnation.’
Seated in his bone tower, Grand Dark Lich Banabas trembled, sweat forming on his forehead.
Kent sighed and was about to check the second reward [Ten Divine Eye Secret Art] when a quest appeared before his eyes again.
Kent clearly didn’t expect the quests to come this often.
What he didn’t know was that, back in his universe, his legion, currently on the 16th floor of the Planet Killer Dungeon, had already received over 10 side quests, each with amazing rewards.
That unofficial upgrade Tower went through clearly wasn’t as simple as he thought.

Kent’s eyes widened.
