Chapter 1403 Black Mission (4)
Chapter 1403 Black Mission (4)
The plan Vexthra came up with hinges on whether Unity can possess Risana’s body. If she were to suddenly appear inside the cage, it would cause fear and panic, which would then draw the attention of the Immortals.
That would take away her chance to activate the talisman.
So she had to possess her body, and since she was once Vexthra’s sister, she had the best way to put her to sleep.
They grew up in a garden city where cherry blossom trees are everywhere.
Vexthra hated them, but her sister loved them. She even came up with the perfect cherry blossom tree and the settings it should be in to qualify her aesthetic.
Every night, before they went to bed, she would imagine that tree, and after doing it for years, it became her bedtime story.
Vexthra knew deep within her that Risana was indeed her sister, so she made the call, and Unity went ahead with it.
“… Even if it isn’t raining, the mist around the cherry blossom tree should show signs of drizzling every now and then to keep the moisture alive.”
Unity paused because Risana had fallen asleep.
“Hmm, all it took was four complete sentences…”
Unity transmitted to Vexthra, putting a smile on her face. A tear appeared, but she wiped it. The mission is too critical for her to become emotional right now.
Every last one of her sisters held their breath, knowing the moment of truth was about to happen.
Uncle Drew and the rest of the legion are seated and waiting for the poor souls who will be making their way into the tower with the prisoners.
Since the tower is not within the Immortal planet they are on, they would be meeting literal demigods and Void beasts this time around.
All Unity needs to do is activate the Talisman.
Lani and Adina remained in Gelen’s shadow as he made his way back to his bed. He pushed the three Red Foxes off the bed and sat down. Then he fell back and lay on the bed.
“Tomorrow, I will start my hunt again,” he smiled, his expression filled with evil intent. He will be slaughtering defenseless mortals like they were nobodies. Nobody knows what he gets from that, considering he gains virtually nothing from killing them. All he does is kill the poor souls, and that is all.
“I will enjoy myself for sure.”
Suddenly, a faint air passed by his nose, causing it to twitch. His ears moved, and at once the feeling of lust overwhelmed his mind. He stood from the bed and followed the direction the air came from.
It came from one of the Red Foxes that he had pushed down. His body reacted almost on its own, causing him to move toward her.
The look on his face changed from a look of evil and was replaced with a look of lust and pleasure.
“Horny fucker,” Adina’s voice entered Lani’s head.
Just when they entered the room, she jumped into the shadow of one of the Red Foxes and possessed her. Since she was already passed out, it was very simple for her to possess her body.
This allowed her to easily harness her charm abilities. But the moment she made her move, it was a go. As expected, the moment she activated her charm ability, Gelen was taken over by lust, dropping his guard rather quickly.
The rest was basically for him to move toward the passed-out fox lady.
However, as someone who is married to a jealous Chaos Dragon, Adina wouldn’t let another man touch her, even if she was possessing the body of someone else.
Even Lani wouldn’t allow that to happen, regardless of how that would work in their favour.
So just when the bastard got close to the Red Fox and reached to touch and turn her, a shadow fell on him followed by a sweet yet cold words…
“Peace out, bitch.”
Lani’s dagger drew an arc in the air. The next second, a head fell to the ground. RUMBLE
The moment the head touched the ground, the entire mansion trembled. In fact, the tremble came much faster than the head falling off.
Adina stood up and exited the fox lady’s body. She then touched the three foxes, and like smoke, they vanished from the room. At the same time, an
Immortal Emperor appeared.
“NO…” His voice filled the room.
However, his nightmare didn’t end there. Just when he appeared inside the room, alarms rang from the training ground.
[Five seconds before the kill]
Unity possessed Risana’s body without raising any alarm. So she gave the signal
to Adina and Lani, causing them to make their move.
Just as Adina made her move, she also activated the two talismans Alina had given her. The transfer array enveloped and marked the prisoners.
However, the moment the array opened, every last Immortal saw it, and so they moved. However, Unity had already activated the time talisman, slowing their movements. But even that wasn’t enough to stop them.
So, over 21 True Immortals entered the array’s range. When the timer reached three seconds, they were all pulled away.
Inside the Legion Tower, the 24 cages appeared, along with 21 True Immortals. But the moment they arrived, a terrible pressure fell on them, causing every last one of them to drop to their knees, some even falling flat on their faces. The cages were pulled away, and Avotha flew over, pulling all 21 Immortals to one side. Since they had decided to intervene in the rescue mission, he would teach them a good lesson.
Lani and Adina appeared in Gaiaville since they didn’t use the talisman to re-enter the tower. Alina only pulled Unity and the rest into the tower. That was why they ended up in the Legion Tower.
However, because they used the tower connection, they appeared in Gaiaville.
If they had been 0.001 seconds late, the Immortal Emperor would have prevented them from escaping. Even the goosebumps on Lani and Adina showed they felt the danger just as they vanished.
In fact, they were very lucky.
But they succeeded. The mission ended since they are now inside the legion
tower.
Meanwhile, back in the Dark City, everything became chaotic. The Dark Heir had just been assassinated, and worse, the slaves they had captured vanished along with 21 True Immortals.
That was just not something they could take easily.
So they started moving about, everyone panicking. The fact that this mission was pulled right under their noses made them all feel threatened.
A minute later, a powerful Dark Elf with the aura of an Immortal Lord appeared
in the room where Gelen was killed.
He is the Dark Elf King, one of the most evil men on Planet Offin. “Who dares kill my son?” His voice filled the mansion, spreading to the rest of the city. Everyone panicked, their backs breaking into cold sweat. “My king, I found this by the bed.” The Immortal Emperor, who first arrived on the scene, handed a white, perfectly rolled scroll to the Dark Elf King. He unfurled it with an angry expression. However, after reading its content, a
look of panic appeared on his face.
“Kent Madson was here.”
That was the content of the scroll, but the fear it incited in him was clear. He lit
the scroll on fire and vanished from the room. He appeared in another mansion
and quickly made his way to a dark and narrow basement. After walking for a few seconds, he arrived before a dark mirror.
“We have a problem… Dark Queen…”
