Chapter 1379 Inaya
Chapter 1379 Inaya
The moment Jest stepped into the purple sword garden, his sword intent activated on its own, instantly filling the air.
However, instead of him feeling his surroundings thanks to his sword intent, he felt like he was swimming inside a pool of sword energy.
The sword intent inside the garden felt like it had taken hold of the entire garden, rewriting everything within it.
“Fascinating. So one day, I would be able to influence the very laws within a space using my sword Realm.”
The sword intent in the air, from what Jest could feel, had overridden the laws of the garden, making it so that once he enters there, the only thing he can do is train his sword intent.
Jest didn’t mind that, for he had already expected that even before he entered the garden.
“The air is filled with sword intent to the point that merely breathing is allowing me to understand some mysteries of the sword.”
As someone who had mastered the foundation of swordsmanship completely, he could sense that breathing inside this garden was not so simple.
There was so much to it that he just could not place his finger on it.
“Let me find a place to sit and get absorbed into this. The faster I become stronger, the quicker I can sever that bastard’s head off his neck.”
A pale smile appeared on his face as he moved deeper into the forest.
On the outside, Elder Ritsu and Willa stood there for a few minutes, unblinking. It was as if they were waiting for something to happen. However, even after five minutes had passed and nothing had happened, they took a deep breath.
“I guess we have nothing to worry about then,” Elder Ritsu said, a bit relieved.
“It seems so. For now, we should leave before it is too late for us.”
The two elders left, not even turning to look back. They can play the ‘we weren’t aware card if something were to happen later!
Meanwhile, inside the garden, Jest slowly moved deeper, paying attention to the changes around him. The closer he got to the inner layer of the garden, the deeper his connection to the sword intent in the air became.
This also seemed to boost his understanding of the sword intent.
Suddenly, he came to a stop when he sensed danger coming from behind. He turned his head to the left just fast enough for a deadly thin sword to zip past his head.
He used the movement of his head to move further to his left before he turned. The face that greeted him was that of a lady whose gaze burned with the desire to kill.
“Let me guess, you were cultivating here, and so when you sense my presence, you felt disturbed and now want to kill me,” Jest said, pulling out his sword.
The lady was a Sword Emperor, but he wasn’t afraid.
“Who are you and what are you doing here?” the lady asked, but Jest merely scoffed and turned toward his left…
“One thing I hate is a coward. If you are going to face me, then at least have the decency to face me in your real body. Why hide behind a clone to try to intimidate me?”
There are many things that can be understood if one’s senses aren’t strong enough. One of said things is the ability to see through illusions or clones.
In this case, Jest, who had already faced so many dangers, sensed the lady who attacked him was no Sword Emperor. In fact, she wasn’t even a real person.
This could only mean she was a clone.
However, while being a clone sounded so simple, Jest could tell there was more to it. But he wasn’t in the mood to entertain her.
He did not know how long he had before he would be taken out of the purple sword garden, so he wasn’t about to entertain anyone who would distract him from what he was after.
This was why he went straight to the point without any hesitation.
His words hung in the air for a few minutes before the space warped, and a green-haired lady walked out, wearing an amused smile on her lips.
When Jest’s gaze landed on her, a sigh escaped his lips. “Ah, my bad luck.”
The lady now staring at him was someone he recognised all too well.
After being chased down for almost a year, nearly dying a few times, he finally managed to corner Seraphina.
However, before he could kill her, this lady appeared and saved her. While it was merely her consciousness that came to her rescue, Jest captured her face so he would never come anywhere close to her ever again.
Now, she stood before him as an Immortal Lord and a sword Immortal. His luck couldn’t be any worse than that.
“Small world, huh?” the lady said before she waved off the clone. It turned into sword Qi and flew back into her body.
Jest remained standing, his expression calm, but inwardly, he was freaking out like hell. ‘Upon all the sects I could have gone to, why did I end up in one she is in?”
Right now, he had no idea if this lady planned on killing him or not. When they first met, it was he who was about to kill someone under her protection. Now,
it seemed he was the one who needed saving.
His swordsmanship wasn’t enough to do anything, so he could only stare at the lady. A few minutes later, he smiled. “Small world indeed.”
He let the air pass on his words before adding, “I am Jest, by the way.”
“You can call me Inaya.”
“Inaya. Can’t say I have heard such a beautiful name before.” Since he couldn’t save his own skin, he might as well suck up to her and hope she had mercy on
him.
The smile on Inaya’s face was just too beautiful not to mean anything. In fact, she looked like someone who had seen suitable prey and was about to devour
it.
“Your name also has a peculiar sound to it. I have never met anyone named
Jest.”
Jest smiled. “I get that a lot.”
Inaya nodded, then the smile on her face vanished. “So tell me, Jest, how do you
want to do it?”
Jest’s heartbeat jumped, almost bursting out from his chest. “Do what, please?” he asked, already prepared to die at any moment.
Inaya looked at him for a few seconds, then she spoke. “You are now a disciple
in my sect, so naturally, you need my permission to cultivate inside this garden. So tell me, how do you want to go about that?”
Нааааа.
Jest exhaled. ‘I swear, one day I will teach this bitch a lesson. Just now, he
thought he was at death’s door.
“If Sect Leader Inaya is using this place, then I would politely excuse myself so I
do not disturb her.” Jest was about to turn and leave when Inaya moved and
appeared before him.
She grabbed his hand, and before he could do anything, they had moved several kilometers deeper into the garden.
A few seconds later, they appeared before a small pool.
