Chapter 1372 Memory Recap - Faceless
Chapter 1372 Memory Recap – Faceless
After the excitement died down, Kent took a deep breath and decided to move on to the next memory key. He had just learned that the treasure he awakened contains six origin laws.
That was something to be thrilled about.
So he had to let his mind rest and think about it. There is an alot to take in, but for now he planned to calm his mind.
Once he managed to settle his thoughts on what to do, he decided to handle what came next.
He would soon be heading into unknown territory, so the earlier he learned more about his abilities and life, the better.
“This is awesome, then. I will make sure that the moment things cool down a bit, I will dive back in and see if I can find more clues.”
The issue with Safira, now that he had remembered, also seemed to affect him somehow. To this day, he had no idea why she saved him.
She was supposed to kill him, but she saved him instead, and that just wasn’t something he could wrap his mind around. However, now, he would have to wait and see if he could do something to help her.
Gaia already had a solution, but he would see if there was a better solution than going to that bitch for help.
After taking a few breaths, Kent activated the first of the five memory keys and entered the sleep-like state yet again.
The last time, he remembered up to the point where he made the seven assassins his first Faceless Agents.
Their objective was to help him protect the innocent from the shadows.
That was the day he created the Faceless Agent, and also the day things changed for him.
That was because on that day, he received a contract to kill someone he later learned was a Forsaken Seer.
He had yet to leave for that mission, but he conducted some background checks and found out he was about to go on the next most dangerous mission.
However, he was excited about it, so he became very committed. Now that he had five more chances to see what happened next, he was both excited to see what more of his knowledge of the Faceless Assassin would expand into after these memories were recovered.

[Recap]
The memory started when Faceless was ready to leave. After bringing his seven Faceless Agents to his home planet, Bayla, he created the first Midnight Temple and left them some powerful assassin techniques before leaving.
He had many missions for them, so he made sure they understood what would happen next and were ready to face it.
After he left, he went to a planet far from Planet Bayla to see an old friend. This friend was like his personal internet.
He knew something about everything.
So he used his expertise to gather more information on the Forsaken Seer. Once that was handled, he left and slowly started working his way toward his goal.
With the Faceless Art, he kept stealing faces and making his way closer to the Forsaken Seer. Just like when he killed the Demon King, he took his time to examine the Forsaken Seer and know who to kill to be able to take one step closer to her.
Already, Faceless was only a True Immortal and a Shadow Immortal, just a couple of steps away from becoming a Shadow God. His expertise in assassination was already stronger than his cultivation realm.
However, he was going after a Forsaken Seer whose expertise was anticipating danger and making sure she weaved a complex solution, one that couldn’t easily be seen through.
That alone proved she is a dangerous opponent.
However, Faceless was no simple assassin. He was someone who had mastered the art of patience, so even after 100 years, when he was nowhere close to killing the Forsaken Seer, he didn’t grow impatient.
He had already seen enough and was making sure he left no stone unturned.
One hundred and thirty years later, after he embarked on this mission, his big break came when he learned a planet had been taken over by the Forsaken race.
Although many had died, he knew that if the Forsaken Seer lived for another year, she would help the Forsaken race expand. So, against all odds, he decided to steal his first Forsaken face.
For reasons unknown to him, the idea of stealing a Forsaken face was a terrible one. But he knew the mission came first, so he did, and that was when everything changed. He proceeded quickly, getting much closer to the Forsaken Seer by stealing more Forsaken faces.
The day he killed her, he learned the Forsaken Seer was into women, so to get close to her, he had to kill the lady she was supposed to meet that evening. And while he had done so many times, turning into a female Forsaken being was Faceless’s first time.
But to kill a threat, he swallowed his pride and did what had to be done.
That night, he helped the Forsaken Seer take her clothes off and even helped her bathe. However, she never came out of the bathroom.
That was because Faceless had long poisoned the room and the air, so all he had to do was be a bit caring and take her mind off the idea that someone would try to kill her.
Inside the bathroom, the poison kicked in, and that was how she died.
But after she died, Faceless didn’t escape.
He had completed his mission, but he decided to take on one more: killing all the Forsaken beings.
It was a long night, but when day broke, 120,000 Forsaken beings died, their blood creating a river on the planet that was supposed to be their new home.
Faceless was rather thorough. He made sure that every last person he killed had their memories scanned.
So after that fateful mission, he learned that to save all lives, he and the Midnight Shadows must make sure the Forsaken race doesn’t escape their imprisonment.
And thus, he decided to expand the Midnight Shadows. So he added seven more assassins and made them Faceless Agents.
What followed was 6,000 years of memory, during which he trained and went on missions to kill Forsaken beings. For 6,000 years, Faceless made sure his influence was felt.
He made sure the Forsaken race became aware of what the heavens had in store for them.
In the end, Faceless finally became a demigod. And to become a god, he had to leave yet again and embark on another mission; this time, there was a chance he would never return.
That was because, on the day he became a demigod, he met a woman who seemed to have a grudge against him. He had no idea why she knew him personally. After all, he was using a different face to make sure nobody recognized him.
But she did, and after she was killed by him, he found out she had cursed him.
From the onset, he could already sense that the curse would only grow stronger as he, too, became stronger. So he decided to complete one last mission and hopefully find a way to break the curse.
But before he left, he created a way for future Midnight Shadows to join, and even future Faceless Agents. After making sure all this was handled, he left, and that was the last time any of the Faceless Agents heard from him.
Years later, when the universe was threatened by creatures from the Shadows, the Faceless Assassin would appear again, this time to end what he started.
