Chapter 1092: Supreme Immortal Sect vs Coven Of Peace (2)

Chapter 1092: Supreme Immortal Sect vs Coven Of Peace (2)

One weakness of summoners is the weakness they go through whenever they summon a beast. Summoning the beasts itself is not tiring, but maintaining the gate open is the problem.

It takes too much energy, and so once a person summons a beast, they stand back and wait for the beast to be completely merged with reality before deactivating the summoning gate.

This process mostly takes a couple of seconds, depending on how strong the beast is.

So the moment Kroth summoned the three beasts, Zeyrion saw the exhaustion. However, he knew if he attacked, the three beasts would interfere and defend him, so he used the most unlikely way to get what he wanted.

He provoked Kroth into summoning a second gate, which he knew a seeded candidate could do. This means the moment the second gate appeared, poor Kroth would be very weakened.

“Crystal Blizzard.”

Zeyrion activated a skill, and in an instant, a blizzard covered the entire arena, causing Kroth to turn pale.

He was already weakened, so this attack further weakened him. This allowed Zeyrion to take him out instantly.

“Crystal Beam.” His eyes glowed, and before Kroth could make any attempt to block him, the beam came and landed on his body, sending him flying out of the arena.

He passed out the next second, and his three summoned beasts and the gates closed. The second summoning gate hadn’t even fully materialized before he was sent flying.

’Looks like he is using his brain now,’ Kent smiled. The intelligence Zeyrion had displayed now was much more amazing for someone known for his arrogance and brutality.

“The Supreme Immortal Sect won this round, and they want to maintain their player… Coven of Peace can send their second participant.”

Another seeded candidate stepped in. However, this one didn’t try to provoke Zeyrion, learning from his teammate’s mistake.

The moment the match began, he waved his staff, and from thin air, a lion about 5 meters tall appeared and attacked Zeyrion. He then stabbed his staff into the air and summoned three more beasts.

Zeyrion had already anticipated a change in combat mode, so he prepared. But even he never expected this opponent to have a named summoned beast.

Summoners can sometimes summon a beast and then gain the ability to name their summon. The moment they name it, it becomes one with them.

This means summoning them into combat is as simple as waving his staff. He doesn’t have to use a summoning gate.

Having named summoned beasts is very rare, so Zeyrion never saw that coming.

However, he reacted on time and managed to evade the first attack from the lion. Soon, he was forced to move back when three more beasts appeared.

“Dragon Fear.”

Zeyrion unleashed his dragon fear, causing the four beasts to become intimidated.

“Cleansen.” His opponent used a buff skill to take away the dragon’s fear, causing his four beasts to get back to attack more fiercely.

However, Zeyrion didn’t frown at that. He merely moved back, buying himself two seconds to unleash a powerful attack.

As a crystal dragon, he could unleash powerful crystallized attacks, ones that ordinary beasts could not handle.

Zeyrion’s eyes glowed bright blue. He is still in his demi-dragon form, which is almost a perfect human form, except for the horns.

He is not like Kent, who can be in both his demi-dragon and human forms.

Shards of crystal formed in the air around Zeyrion, looking sharp and deadly. They spun fast, humming with energy.

The four beasts charged again.

The lion roared, shaking the arena. The ground cracked beneath its paws as it moved forward…

A wolf made of fire leaped at Zeyrion from the side, aiming to distract him so that the other three beasts could close in on him. However, Zeyrion is no ordinary dragon.

He crossed his arms and shouted, “Crystal Burst!”

Dozens of crystal shards shot out in all directions. Their whistle creates the impression that every last shard is a razor-sharp weapon meant to kill.

The air sparkled as they hit the beasts. The lion took the hit on its chest, roaring in pain.

Since it is a Named Beast, Zeyrion chooses not to kill it. Doing so is akin to killing a part of the summoner.

The fire wolf, on the other hand, cracked and faded into smoke.

But the other two beasts—a stone bear and a serpent of mist—kept coming. The serpent circled Zeyrion, trying to choke him.

Zeyrion spun fast, covering himself in crystal armor. He still refuses to take on his full dragon form. The serpent’s mist hissed against the crystal surface of his army but couldn’t break through.

Zeyrion didn’t waste much time since he had none. He raised his right arm, and a large crystal spear appeared in his hand.

He threw it straight at the stone bear. The impact sent a shockwave across the arena, shattering the ground.

The bear fell and broke apart into dust.

The serpent screeched, turning to retreat under the command of the summoner, but Zeyrion was faster. He dashed forward, summoning wings made of crystal. They spread wide, and with a single flap, he closed in with the serpent

“Crystal Rend!” he yelled, attacking with a fierce attack. His claws glowed, slicing through the mist. The serpent’s body tore apart and vanished.

Silence filled the arena.

The lion was injured, and so it vanished back to the Summoner’s soul sea. So the moment the Serpent was dispatched, the summoner gasped and fell to one knee.

His beasts were gone. The effort had drained his energy, so summoning another set of beasts isn’t going to happen.

Zeyrion walked toward him slowly and pressed a sword formed from Crystal against his neck.

“The Supreme Immortal Sect wins again!” the announcer shouted. The disciples cheered as their sect won back-to-back. It was to be expected, considering this is the third-ranked sect facing the 35th-ranked sect.

Zeyrion turned away and looked toward Kent. Their eyes met for a moment. Kent nodded with a faint smile. Zeyrion simply folded his arms and waited for the next challenger

In the end, Zeyrion single-handedly won all four battles for the Supreme Immortal Sect to advance to the next stage in the competition.

His 4th battle against the captain of the Coven of Peace lasted 20 minutes. He used his dragon form before he managed to win.

However, the endgame was achieved. However, he wouldn’t be able to participate in the next battle.

Kent didn’t know who they would be fighting next, so he just left to rest and further heal before the next battle.

His wives, however, decided to go on a tour. They want to see more of Planet Celestial Gate, so he allowed them. It wasn’t like they would be in danger.

However, because Selene is still not fully recovered, she decided to stay with Kent despite telling her to go heal in the tower. She just hugged him and soundly slept, making sure when she woke up, Kent wouldn’t sneakily slip away.

In the end, Lady Enzi compromised and allowed Kent to stay with Selene while the rest of his teammates handled their next match.

However, she said if they met the Primal Beast Sect, Kent would be the one to handle that battle.

Kent, who was already looking forward to that, was quick to accept this arrangement…

“You can send her to the tower. I will come to get you when you are needed. It will also help you heal much faster.”

Kent nodded to Lady Enzi’s words and entered the tower. Since she now has access to the Tower, she can come and go as she pleases.
