ELYSIUM

"The constellations, they changed suddenly," Elios announced as he strode into the grand assembly of the gods, his voice ringing with a weight that instantly hushed the heated debates about the fate of Elysium.

As the Star Deity and the God of Fate, Elios was a striking presence among the divine. His darkish orange hair fell around his shoulders like flickering embers, contrasting with the spiky, golden star crown that rested upon his brow.

He wore flowing, deep orange robes intricately embroidered with shimmering star signs and celestial charts that seemed to drift across the fabric as he moved. But it was his eyes that held the true depth of his power—glittering as brightly and boundlessly as the night sky itself, reflecting the infinite threads of destiny he constantly observed.

Ever since Solmira had brought forth the prophecy of the destined child of lust, the deities had been desperately seeking any scrap of information concerning the child.

This was their second emergency meeting, and the air in the throne room of the supreme deity, Celestian, was thick with anticipation.

"What exactly changed in the constellations?" asked Solmira, the Goddess of Prophecy.

She flipped her cascading golden hair over her shoulder, her expression grim. "I, too, had a highly concerning dream about the child of prophecy last night. It is the very reason I requested our Supreme Deity to convene this assembly." She glanced around the semi-circle of grand thrones. "Since our Star Deity has finally joined us, all six available deities are present. I believe the meeting should officially begin."

Celestian, the Supreme Deity of Elysium, cleared his throat, the sound like distant thunder. He raised a hand to command order, then pointed a finger toward Elios. "Speak, Elios. What did the stars reveal to you?"

Elios stepped toward the center of the hall. He raised his hands and began tracing intricate, glowing symbols in the air, weaving unreadable, ancient celestial letters that hung suspended in the space before them.

Suddenly, the brilliant light of the assembly hall began to fade. The room plunged into absolute darkness, replaced by a breathtaking projection of the cosmos.

Among the shimmering nebulas, a specific constellation materialized: a majestic warrior mounted on a horse, drawing a bow to fire an arrow.

"This was the constellation of the child before," Elios explained, his glittering eyes scanning the projection. He waved his hand, and the figure of the warrior and the horse dissolved, leaving behind only the glowing, solitary arrow. "And now, only the weapon remains. Originally, the warrior represented a balance of physical strength and divine authority. But the arrow alone? It represents absolute, unyielding power. A power that transcends every other power. The stars have named this new constellation Astralytis."

Gasps echoed through the darkened room.

"The Astralytis does not appear in the heavens unless a being of catastrophic power is being born," Elios continued, his voice dropping to a low whisper. "Out of curiosity, I decided to chart the fate of this unborn child of lust, looking to see what the stars would write. And this is what I found."

With a flick of his wrist, Elios drew another glowing symbol. Deep within the center of the Astralytis constellation, a brand-new star suddenly burst into existence. It glowed with a blinding, fierce luminescence, casting a brilliant silver light over the faces of the stunned deities who stared up in utter silence.

"But you told us before that you found absolutely nothing written in the scrolls of fate about the human vessel carrying the child!" Celestian demanded, his brow furrowing as he leaned forward on his throne. "How can an unwritten mortal bring forth a child with such a monumental destiny?"

"Indeed, I still cannot find a single thread of fate attached to the human himself," Elios admitted, shaking his head. "He remains a blank slate. Yet, the child within him is bound for greatness and power beyond measure. Because the constellations shifted so suddenly, it means the child’s destiny has already evolved. It is actively rewriting itself and there is no way anyone can stop it.’’

An uneasy murmur rippled through the assembled gods and goddesses.

"Are you suggesting..." began Valedi, the Deity of War, his deep, booming voice carrying a heavy, ominous weight that seemed to press down on the room, "...that this child might grow to become more powerful than the deities of Elysium ourselves?"

Elios looked directly at the war god and nodded slowly. "This child is destined to hold a greater power than all of Elysium combined."

"Impossible!" scoffed Nythera, the Goddess of protection, her expression hardening in disbelief. "There is no way a creature born from the womb of a mere mortal can bring forth a being of such divine magnitude!"

"But Lust is no ordinary human," Solmira spoke, her voice sharp and filled with warning.

She let out a heavy sigh. "Need I remind you that he is the son of Haziel? Our former Supreme Deity who broke the laws of Elysium by laying with both demons and humans? Lust’s mother was half-human and half-demon. The bloodline is already volatile so bringing a powerful child like that is expected.’’

Solmira looked around the table, her golden eyes flashing. "Elios’s warnings match my own. In my vision last night, I saw Elysium engulfed in a devastating war with the sons of Haziel. The Seven Deadly Sins destroyed our sacred realm entirely and crowned themselves as the new divine rulers. I warned you of this during our first meeting, but it seems some of you chose not to listen. This child will not only free the sins but grant them greater powers.’’

Another wave of anxious whispers broke out among the deities.

"And what was the final outcome of your prophecy, Solmira?" Nythera asked, her brown eyes widening in genuine fear before anyone else could interrupt.

Solmira remained silent for a tense, agonizing moment, staring down at the polished obsidian table before she finally met Nythera’s gaze. "We lost the battle. And we ceased to exist."
