Chapter 446: Chapter 445: Her World

Dracula didn’t ask any more questions.

He slowly closed his eyes to rest and recuperate.

Yu Zhizhi had used up a lot of her spiritual power. She changed into her rabbit form and hopped onto the wooden table.

There was a small window here.

‘After we left the inn that day, Dracula left a mark. I wonder if the Little Octopus ever went back…?’

The storm had, for a rare change, stopped. Through the wall, she could hear the Hamster and his wife talking about what to eat tomorrow, how their little ones could start practicing basic Spiritual Techniques, and so on.

Dracula heard their conversation as well.

He recalled their time in the Underground City, how the Snow Eagle cub would always cling to this Rabbit Clan female. The image of them together, hazy and warm like a sunset, surfaced in his mind—a stark contrast to the dark, cold tones of the Underground City.

Wife.

That word, in particular, caught his attention.

Yu Zhizhi crouched on the wooden table for a moment before hopping to the floor. She tiptoed out of the room.

Outside, a fierce wind was raging. She took several quick hops and arrived next to the cellar.

There was a small crack just wide enough for her to peek through. She tilted her head and looked inside.

Inside the cellar, many fruits and vegetables were stored, and the air was filled with a fresh, damp fragrance.

A single candlestick sat on the ground, its flame burning quietly.

The Cat Clan youth sat leaning against a wall, toying with the Divination Coin in his hand.

Sensing a presence above the cellar, he looked up and saw a small white rabbit looking at him curiously.

Zero smiled. “What is it, Ms. Zhi Zhi?”

Yu Zhizhi leaped down from above. Zero, slightly startled, immediately raised his hands and caught her.

The soft little female rabbit’s fur was fluffy and tousled by the wind. Her small paws rested on his arm. “I came to see you…”

‘It just feels like Zero has been unusually quiet since we returned from the tomb.’

‘He came back to the cellar and didn’t even eat dinner.’

The Cat Clan youth saw the worry in the little rabbit’s eyes, and a warmth spread through his heart. “Don’t worry. The mission was a great success. We’ll all be able to leave Sun Ridge soon.”

“The Divine Hall Alliance will award you a medal. For a territory, that can boost its prestige. If you run into any trouble, you can also ask other territories for help.”

“Besides that…”

A slight smile touched Zero’s lips. “I can perform a divination for you. You can ask me anything you want to know, Ms. Zhi Zhi.”

As a power user with a prophecy ability, he could see a future that was invisible to most.

Yu Zhizhi looked at the Cat Clan youth’s choppy black-and-white hair. She realized that Zero’s amber cat-like eyes were stunningly beautiful, and the small fangs that showed when he smiled gave him a cunning look, though his expression would occasionally turn grave.

‘A chance for a prophecy…’

‘It’s extremely rare.’

‘There are things I’m curious about, but…’

Seeing that she remained silent, Zero took the initiative. “Do you want to see your world again?”

Yu Zhizhi sat obediently in his arms. Upon hearing his words, she couldn’t help but press her little paws down slightly.

A thrill went through her.

But—

Zero watched as the little rabbit slowly shook her head.

He was a little surprised. Zhi Zhi had agreed to join the Divine Hall precisely because they could help her divine the situation in her homeland.

Yu Zhizhi said softly, “I don’t have anything particularly important to ask, so there’s no need for a divination.”

‘My world…’

‘I’ll be able to go back after the mission is complete.’

Yu Zhizhi’s gaze fell on the Cat Clan youth’s black-and-white hair. “You need to take care of yourself too, Zero.”

‘If I remember correctly, Zero’s divinations cost him his lifespan.’

‘He’s a black cat.’

‘But now, half of his short hair is white.’

Zero froze for a moment. He suddenly realized the little rabbit hadn’t used her chance for a prophecy because… she was worried about him.

As a Prophet, he always knew what the people around him wanted.

He never expected that one day, someone would approach him for a reason that had nothing to do with prophecy.

The Cat Clan youth was silent for a long time before he said softly, “Thank you.”

Watching the warm candlelight flicker before her, Yu Zhizhi gradually grew sleepy. She slowly lay down, tucked in her paws and ears, and fell asleep.

Zero stroked the coin in his hand. He looked down at the fuzzy little rabbit in his arms, and a smile slowly spread across his face.

The talisman appeared on his shoulder and yawned.

“When you take Miss Rabbit back to her territory, why don’t you just give yourself a vacation?” it suggested.

Zero worked year-round at the Divine Hall without a break. This would be a good opportunity for him to get some proper rest.

The Cat Clan youth didn’t respond.

He just stared at the silver coin in his hand, then suddenly thought of something. “Where’s Si Hao?”

The talisman paused.

‘The Fourth Envoy?’

‘Oh, that bright red Little Octopus.’

“Hasn’t he always been with Miss Rabbit? It’s true, I haven’t seen him in a while. He probably snuck off to play somewhere.”

“Go find him,” Zero said, patting the talisman on his shoulder.

The talisman opened its mouth, then sighed. “Zero, you’re so mean! I tell you to rest, and you make me work instead!”

Despite its grumbling, it vanished from the Cat Clan youth’s shoulder.

‘Sun Ridge is so big. I just hope I can bring the Little Octopus back before Miss Rabbit returns to her territory.’

「The next day.」

Yu Zhizhi woke up.

She found that she had reverted from her Beast Form at some point and was leaning against a sack of grain behind her. Her back was a little sore from sleeping that way.

The candle on the floor had been blown out.

A sliver of light shone from above the cellar.

The Cat Clan youth was already up. He was standing at the edge, talking to the Hamster Beastman.

Yu Zhizhi climbed the ladder and slowly made her way up.

Zero saw her, reached down, and helped her out.

The Hamster was taken aback when he saw her.

‘Miss Rabbit slept in the cellar, too?’

‘Was Mr. Cat’s scent so strong that it completely masked hers? I didn’t notice anyone else in the cellar at all, let alone Miss Rabbit!’

‘Isn’t she with Mr. Hei Yi?’

‘And her relationship with Mr. Cat is this close, too…’

However, when he thought about her Rare, top-tier talent, the Hamster figured Miss Rabbit must be of a very high class! So, having two outstanding Beast Husbands at the same time was perfectly normal!

Seeing Yu Zhizhi was awake, the Cat Clan youth handed her a new set of clothes he had prepared early that morning. “I had Miss Squirrel help me find these specially for you.”

Zero had noticed that her previous dress had gotten a little dirty.

Yu Zhizhi took the folded clothes and said happily, “Thank you.”

Dracula also emerged from the small house. He saw the little female’s eyes, full of a sweet smile, fixed on Zero. His thin lips tightened as he glanced at the brown dress she was holding. It looked just like a matching couple’s outfit with the cloak Zero was wearing.

Yu Zhizhi walked toward the small house. Seeing Dracula, her eyes lit up, and she ran over to him. “You’re awake! Did you rest well last night? Come inside in a bit, and I’ll take another look at your wound, okay?”

Yu Zhizhi said it all in a rush.

Dracula had originally planned to leave the territory today, but for some reason, he found himself nodding as if bewitched. “Okay.”
