Precedence System: I Take My Rewards In Advance

Chapter 55: Light Magic is Broken!

When Zishan heard that she could heal him, his eyes sparkled in delight. "Yes, please!"

He recalled his conversation with Maela about the difference between Light Magic and Healing Magic. Ordinary Healing Magic dealt mostly with the injury itself, while Light Magic went deeper and removed the hidden problems that could remain afterward.

Elinox lifted one hand, and a pale golden light gathered around her fingers.

Zishan stared at it with interest.

He had already seen Healing Magic countless times while helping Maela, but this was his first time being treated with Light Magic. Just remembering what Maela had told him was enough to make him curious about how different it would actually feel.

The light touched his shoulder first before spreading through the rest of his body.

Zishan blinked. He did not feel any pain because of the healing process already.

He had expected something, maybe heat, pressure, or at least that weird tingling sensation he sometimes felt whenever Mana entered his body. Instead, the Light Mana simply passed through him, and wherever it went, the pain disappeared.

The soreness in his abdomen from Larper’s kick vanished. The pain around his shoulder followed, along with the stiffness in his back that had been annoying him whenever he moved too much.

Even the smaller aches he had completely forgotten about were disappearing one after another.

’What the hell? Light Magic is this goated?’

Zishan looked down at himself.

The Light continued moving through his body, reaching much deeper than where his injuries were visible. He could not actually see what it was doing inside him, but he could feel parts of his body becoming lighter, almost like something he had been carrying around without realizing it was slowly being removed.

Then, several faint traces of Mana left his body.

Zishan’s eyebrows rose. ’Wait... was that inside me?’

[Yes.]

The System finally decided to respond again.

’Since when?’

[Since the Host was repeatedly struck, thrown, kicked, cut, and generally treated like an object throughout the recent battle.]

Zishan’s face twitched. ’You didn’t have to describe it like that!’

[The System merely stated facts.]

’Fucking asshole.’

Elinox continued healing him, completely unaware that Zishan was currently arguing with something inside his head.

The Light spread through his abdomen again, and Zishan suddenly remembered Maela’s explanation much more clearly.

Ordinary Healing Magic could close wounds and heal bruises, but it did not necessarily remove everything left behind. Something could still remain beneath the healed flesh, whether it was foreign Mana, poison, contamination, or an injury that had simply gone unnoticed.

Light Magic was different. Maela had said it could remove those things too. At the time, Zishan thought that sounded useful.

Now that he was actually experiencing it himself, useful felt like a massive understatement.

’This shit is broken!’

[The Host says that about almost everything he wants.]

’Because everything I want is fucking good! Also, why are you not calling me dumb anymore?’

[It is simple. There is no need to repeatedly state the obvious.]

’Tch!’

Elinox lowered her hand. "Done."

Zishan immediately rolled his shoulder. No pain. He twisted his waist, bent forward, straightened again, then pressed both hands against the part of his abdomen where Larper had kicked him hard enough to send him flying several meters away. He even did a back handspring just to test it further, but he still felt nothing.

He threw a few punches into the air afterward, twisting his torso with each one. The pain was completely gone. Even the bandages wrapped around his body had begun to loosen now that the swelling beneath them had disappeared.

"What the hell?!"

Ollie flinched beside him. He was startled by Zishan’s voice again.

’Is this what it feels like when a Goddess heals you from head to toe? Even my little thing down there feels strangely energetic. What the hell? Wait... thinking about it, did she heal something inside that too? Oh my God! Miss, I’m still a virgin! I’m too shy for this! You violated me without even letting me know!’

Elinox blinked. "Is something wrong?"

"No! No! Definitely no!"

Zishan pressed his abdomen harder just to make sure. He even twisted himself in the opposite direction before rolling his shoulder several times.

He felt completely fine.

Actually, he felt better than fine.

There were several aches in his legs and back that he had not even realized were still there until they disappeared.

Zishan slowly looked at Elinox and finally asked, "Did you heal everything?"

"I healed what was wrong with you," Elinox replied. "There were several deeper bruises, damaged muscles, and some traces of foreign Mana left inside your body. Nothing serious enough to threaten your life, but you would have needed more time to recover completely."

Zishan became silent. ’Maela fucking undersold Light Magic.’

[She explained its function accurately.]

’I KNOW! BUT SHE SHOULD HAVE SAID IT WAS THIS FUCKING AMAZING!’

He looked at his hands before moving his body again.

This was ridiculous.

He had gone through enough injuries during the Stampede that he had already started accepting pain as part of his daily routine in Cyrune. Getting bitten, burned, thrown around, nearly killed, kicked by a Level 99 Beast Tamer...

Actually, now that he thought about it, his life here had been completely fucked. And Elinox had just removed every remaining injury in a few seconds.

Zishan stared at her hand, then at Elinox, before looking back at the hand that had just healed his entire body.

’System.’

[No.]

His eyebrow twitched. ’I didn’t even ask anything yet! Why are you being like that?’

[The System already knows what the Host intends to ask.]

Zishan ignored the insult and asked regardless. ’Can I get Light Affinity?’

[No. The Host already possesses four Mana Affinities.]

’So?! She has five!’

[High General Elinox Holmes is not the Host. Please be patient, Host. Impatience can hasten the deterioration of the human mind.]

Zishan went quiet for a second before his expression twisted.

’What the fuck is that supposed to mean?!’

But he received no response.

Zishan almost cursed out loud.

He already had Life, Wind, Shadow, and Fire, which would probably sound ridiculous to most people in this world. However, standing beside someone who had Gravity, Wind, Lightning, Light, and Water made four suddenly feel very lacking.

Especially when one of hers could apparently fix his entire body like nothing had happened.

He would definitely find a way to get that Light Affinity with an awesome Skill someday.

That was already decided.

Zishan finally stopped checking himself and looked at Elinox again. "That’s fucking amazing."

A small smile appeared on her face. "You’re welcome."

He was about to thank her properly when Elinox’s eyes brightened again. "So, about the frosting..."
