Precedence System: I Take My Rewards In Advance
Chapter 108: A Primordial Dragon of What?
’System, I almost forgot about something.’
[The Host forgets many things.]
’Don’t start... but what does the Beast Nurturing Space actually do?’
A panel opened in front of him.
[BEAST NURTURING SPACE]
[The Beast Nurturing Space is an adaptive habitat intended for beasts recognized under the Host’s ownership.]
Zishan continued petting Silvy as more information appeared.
[Environmental conditions within the space adjust according to the biological needs, Mana compatibility and natural habitat preferences of each recognized beast.]
His eyebrows rose.
’So it’s basically a custom home?’
[An oversimplified description, but acceptable.]
Zishan ignored the insult hidden inside the answer.
[Beasts placed within the Nurturing Space may recover from fatigue at an accelerated natural rate. Minor wounds may heal more efficiently due to stabilized environmental conditions, appropriate Mana density and reduced external stress.]
’Can it heal anything?’
[No.]
The next line appeared before Zishan could ask further.
[The Beast Nurturing Space does not regenerate lost limbs, restore destroyed organs or replace proper treatment for severe injuries.]
Zishan nodded.
That made sense as it was a nurturing space rather than some magical hospital that could reconstruct a beast from half a body.
[For beasts with severe injuries, the space may assist stabilization and natural recovery after proper treatment. It cannot independently restore injuries beyond the beast’s biological capacity to heal.]
’That’s still useful.’
Zishan then glanced at Silvy. ’What about her?’
[Silvy is compatible with the Beast Nurturing Space.]
[The habitat would adapt to her developmental requirements. She may rest, recover from minor injuries and continue natural physical development within the space.]
Zishan’s eyes brightened. "So you’d like it in there, Baby Silvy?"
Silvy was not listening anymore. Her attention had shifted entirely toward Zishan’s other beasts, moving from the injured Ridgefang Hounds to the Razorboar as if she were inspecting each one personally.
When one of the beasts shifted because of its injury, Silvy’s tiny face scrunched up. She climbed off Zishan’s lap, moved toward the edge of the bed, and pointed a claw toward them. "Papa."
Zishan followed her gesture. "Yeah?"
Silvy shook her head and pointed at the beasts again, going from one to another before crossing her little front legs against her chest.
Zishan frowned. "What?"
An offended sound escaped her as she pointed at the beasts once more, then at Zishan. "Papa!"
"Yes. That’s me."
Silvy’s eyes narrowed.
She pointed at herself next, raised her chin, then spread her little wings as far as they could go. After displaying herself with what looked like an absurd amount of pride for something barely larger than a house pet, she pointed toward the other beasts again and shook her head much harder.
Zishan slowly nodded. "I see."
Silvy seemed pleased that he had finally understood.
"You want them to exercise more," he continued.
Silvy froze.
Zishan turned toward the beasts. "You’re right, actually. They haven’t moved around much because of their injuries."
Silvy stared at him with her mouth slightly open before slowly closing it, looking increasingly offended the longer he failed to understand. What she had actually been trying to tell him was that his beasts were far too weak.
Their species were unimpressive. They had been injured too easily, and in her eyes, creatures like them were nowhere near worthy of having someone like her Papa as their master.
If Zishan insisted on gathering more beasts, Silvy wanted powerful ones. Beasts with species equal to hers, or at the very least creatures capable of actually helping him rather than becoming burdens he needed to protect. She would tolerate strong companions, but these ones? Silvy wanted replacements.
She pointed toward the Ridgefang Hounds again before making a tiny sweeping motion toward the spatial opening, as though telling Zishan to put them back where they came from.
Zishan’s face brightened. "Oh! You want them inside the Nurturing Space!"
Silvy’s face fell.
"Got it." He reached toward the connection.
The three Ridgefang Hounds and the Razorboar disappeared into the Beast Nurturing Space one after another.
Silvy remained near the edge of the bed, staring at the place where they had vanished.
Zishan smiled proudly. "Papa understands you so well."
Silvy slowly turned toward him with such obvious disappointment that Zishan could only tilt his head.
"What?"
The little dragon released a tiny sigh before climbing back onto his lap, while Zishan remained completely clueless about what he had done wrong.
His fingers returned between her horns, and the irritation disappeared from Silvy’s face once he started petting her again.
Zishan watched her for a while as another thought returned to him, something that had been bothering him ever since Silvy hatched.
Most of her information was still locked behind an authority restriction, leaving him with little more than the fact that she was a dragon born at Level 400, which was ridiculous enough to hurt his pride whenever he remembered it. Her Bloodline, Physique, Mana Affinities, and Skills were all hidden, and the System had never actually told him what kind of dragon she was.
His hand slowed against her head. ’Btw, System, I know that Silvy is like an ancient dragon or something. What kind of dragon is she? Although I have insufficient authority to know about it right now, can you at least let me know?’
The System remained quiet for a moment before finally replying.
[Yes.]
’Wait. Seriously?’
Before Zishan could ask anything else, a greenish System panel appeared in front of him.
[Silvy, the Black Dragon, is a Primordial Dragon of &$*$@^&^]
Zishan’s eyes widened as he read the message again, only to find the same strange symbols covering whatever was supposed to come after it. "Primordial Dragon of what?"
Silvy lifted her head at the sound of his voice, but the System gave him no further response. Zishan stared at the broken text, eyes wide, while his hand remained resting between Silvy’s horns.
"What the hell? Silvy is actually a Primordial Dragon? What kind of dragon is that? Is that something like I know from Earth’s mythology?"
