Gu Xiaozhan patted her head, “Of course, we’ve been married for years now. Besides physical fidelity, words are important too. Han Han, you haven’t kept anything from me, have you?”

He was aware of the change in Mu Anhan two years ago.

Even though he never quite understood why.

“What could I possibly be hiding?” Mu Anhan switched topics, “Let’s find Sister Feishuang first! Look, Yu Hao can’t wait any longer.”

Lu Yuhao looked at them: “I really envy Brother Zhan and sister-in-law’s relationship!”

Soon, they tracked Miao Feishuang’s whereabouts from that night.

She left the hospital and went to a roadside stall for spicy hotpot. Lu Yuhao sighed, “Clearly she saw me and Yi Beixi going out for a meal, yet she held it in until I came back at night, only to casually ask about it.”

“Yu Hao, you don’t understand women. The more she holds back and doesn’t ask, it means she’s already out of patience with you. Her casual attitude is proof that she doesn’t want to continue anymore.” Mu Anhan told him, “Many couples’ feelings die from lack of communication, yet they can keep going amidst arguments.”

Lu Yuhao smacked his forehead, “If I had been honest with her when I got home, telling her I just met and ate with Yi Beixi because of Lu Lu, would she not have left?”

“The urgent thing now is to find her first.” Mu Anhan said, “Let’s think about where Sister Feishuang might go?”

“Do you think she went back to her parents’ home?” Lu Yuhao asked.

Mu Anhan shook her head, “Probably not.”

Lu Yuhao was bewildered.

Where would she go?

“Yu Hao, if Sister Feishuang is only throwing a tantrum with you, she might come to me because she knows you would look for her.” Mu Anhan confided him, “But this time, she didn’t even come to me; she wouldn’t go home either. Actually, she has always been very stubborn. Even if she suffers outside, she won’t tell uncle and aunt. Anyway, I’ll ask.”

Mu Anhan called to inquire; first, she greeted her uncle and aunt about their recent circumstances, then casually asked about Miao Feishuang’s situation at home.

Aunt said she hadn’t come home, and Mu Anhan understood. She didn’t mention Miao Feishuang leaving home, to avoid worrying them.

She hung up and looked at Lu Yuhao, “Better check the surveillance and see where she went after leaving the neighborhood?”

They reached the mall and retrieved surveillance footage. Due to privacy concerns, there weren’t many cameras, so they didn’t spot Miao Feishuang leaving.

“Where did she go? Could there be an accident?” Lu Yuhao was anxious like an ant on a hot pan since he couldn’t find her.

It was now midnight, and many shops started to close.

Still, they couldn’t find any trace of Miao Feishuang, making Lu Yuhao more anxious.

“Yu Hao, why don’t you go home first?” Mu Anhan comforted him, “I’ll get someone to watch the surveillance again to see if she left in disguise.”

“Yes, yes!” Lu Yuhao nodded, “Sister Feishuang and sister-in-law have disguised themselves several times and looked completely different. What could she look like now? It seems, she’s really gone to great lengths to leave me…”

They called in more people to watch the surveillance overnight, ending up empty-handed.

Three days later, Lu Yuhao received a handwritten letter from Miao Feishuang.

She said she was safe and told him not to look for her anymore, as she just wanted to live peacefully.
