Chapter 1243: We’re a Team Too

Mu Anhan started her day as usual, coming to work under the guise of Mu An. Even the large black-rimmed glasses couldn’t hide her joyful mood.

On the other hand, Lu Lu had dark circles under her eyes.

She obviously hadn’t slept well. You know, Miao Feishuang seemed to have some issues; she opened the refrigerator in the middle of the night, releasing the durian smell from inside.

Even with the door closed, the smell woke her up.

She even went to the president’s office to find Gu Xiaozhan.

"What’s up?" Gu Xiaozhan was dealing with some documents.

Lu Lu yawned. She hadn’t slept well for two consecutive nights. Apart from Miao Feishuang tormenting her, every time she closed her eyes, the sounds of Gu Xiaozhan and Mu Anhan together echoed demonically in her ears, nonstop.

"The place I’m staying is uncomfortable; not sleeping well affects my daytime work."

Gu Xiaozhan looked up and glanced at her, "You look quite weary."

"Yes! I don’t want to stay at Yu Hao’s place." Lu Lu felt that Miao Feishuang was deliberately targeting her.

"Where do you want to stay? At the company?" Gu Xiaozhan asked her, "It would make working overtime more convenient."

Lu Lu showed a super surprised expression, "You don’t have even a little tenderness or compassion? I’m not sleeping at the company."

Gu Xiaozhan promptly stated, "My house is not an option; Han Han doesn’t like anyone staying over at our place."

Lu Lu felt unsatisfied in her heart; this woman was truly a treasure in men’s eyes.

"I’ll have Lie Huo arrange a place for you to stay," Gu Xiaozhan said without waiting for her to respond.

Lu Lu knew that Lie Huo was not only Gu Xiaozhan’s confidant, but he also followed Mu Anhan’s every command.

She didn’t want to see Lie Huo at all.

"If you have nothing else, go back to work." Gu Xiaozhan issued a polite dismissal.

"Yes!" Lu Lu returned to the research department, even less motivated.

Soon after, Lie Huo discussed with Mu Anhan about finding an apartment for Lu Lu.

Mu Anhan was well-connected; any small stir, and she’d find out.

However, now Gu Xiaozhan knew how to reject Lu Lu without causing a rift, which Mu Anhan could accept.

Though this was akin to a slow realization, at least he was growing.

During her lunch break, Mu Anhan messaged Miao Feishuang.

[Lie Huo said he found a place for Lu Lu; do you think she’ll still stay at your house tonight?]

Miao Feishuang: [Mr. Gu didn’t let her stay at your place, that’s good. Also, she’s teamed up with Yi Beixi.]

Mu Anhan: [No worries, we’re also a team.]

Miao Feishuang laughed, and the two chatted for a while before putting down their phones.

Mu Anhan turned around and saw Ma Bin standing behind her computer.

"Not bad, kid!" Ma Bin admired the code she wrote, "You have a promising future!"

"I’ll definitely work hard!" Mu Anhan replied humbly.

At noon, everyone went to the cafeteria for lunch together.

Ma Bin invited Mu Anhan along, discussing chip matters with her.

Who would have thought that upon arriving at the cafeteria, Ma Bin led her directly to the high-level area.

Gu Xiaozhan and Mu Shaochen were having lunch together, and Lu Lu was also at their table.

Mu Anhan naturally didn’t want to go; she was currently playing the role of Mu An, which her third brother knew.

She definitely didn’t want Gu Xiaozhan to know about this.

"Brother Ma, I’ll eat in the employee area." Mu Anhan said, and without waiting for Ma Bin’s response, she dashed off.

Ma Bin wasn’t sure why, assuming the newcomer got stage fright upon seeing the boss, and just smiled helplessly.
