Possessive & Addicted: The CEO Could Never Let Her Go
Chapter 1240: When the Wife Sings, the Husband Follows
Miao Feishuang watched Lu Yuhao’s expression; it changed from one second to the next.
She had no idea how many thoughts were running through his head.
But she was determined that these two sisters were not going to have it easy, that was for sure.
"Let her stay," Lu Yuhao could only say.
Lu Lu looked down on him. "You’re such a wife-slave. Whatever your wife says, you just insist she’s right?"
"Only by listening to your wife can you walk the happy road of life," Lu Yuhao said stiffly, his neck straight and his face flushed.
Lu Lu let out a cold snort. "Last night, was it also your wife who told you to go keep little Bei company?"
Just now Lu Yuhao had wanted to balance things between these two women, but now Lu Lu was deliberately saying this in front of Miao Feishuang—if that’s not sowing discord, what is?
"Lu Lu, let me tell you, I went to take Yi Beixi to the hospital last night, and it really was Feishuang who asked me to go," Lu Yuhao didn’t want his sister looking down on him. "Otherwise, why would I have chosen the hospital where Feishuang works? Because I’m open and aboveboard."
Lu Lu looked completely unconvinced. "You’re sick in the head."
"I’m sick, and Feishuang’s got the cure," Lu Yuhao said shamelessly.
Miao Feishuang: "..."
Lu Yuhao took the durian from Miao Feishuang’s hands. "When are you going to eat it?"
"Now." Miao Feishuang set down her handbag and walked into the living room.
Lu Yuhao picked up a knife, ready to cut it open, when Lu Lu said again, "Go cut it outside, it stinks."
"If you think it stinks, then don’t live here," Lu Yuhao felt she was just a troublemaker.
Lu Lu’s face changed. "Miao Feishuang, did you deliberately buy durian to drive me away?"
Miao Feishuang gave a faint smile. "I ran into Yi Beixi today, and she told me you like eating durian, so I bought it to show some filial respect to you, dear sister."
Lu Lu’s face turned livid with rage. She yanked the door open and, after going inside, slammed it shut with a "bang."
The corners of Miao Feishuang’s lips curled into a sly smile.
Lu Lu liked to stir up trouble between people—Miao Feishuang wasn’t an idiot.
She could stir the pot too.
Of course Lu Yuhao knew Yi Beixi had never said any of that; Miao Feishuang had completely made it up.
But with Lu Lu fuming like this, she’d probably believe it, and only later, after thinking it over, start to feel something was off.
Now that Lu Lu was no longer in the living room, Lu Yuhao lowered his voice and asked Miao Feishuang, "Shuang Shuang, I really can’t stand the taste..."
"I’ll eat it myself." Miao Feishuang hadn’t planned on giving this damn man any, anyway.
Lu Yuhao was delighted; he just knew his wife was a kind woman who wouldn’t make things hard for him.
"I’ll take it to the kitchen," he said happily, carrying it off.
Miao Feishuang followed him in, eating the fragrant, sweet durian as she watched this man.
Lu Yuhao had the feeling she was plotting something.
Sure enough, she was up to no good.
"Lu Yuhao, tell me, were you wrong?"
Miao Feishuang asked him.
Lu Yuhao nodded. "I should’ve told you beforehand that it was Yi Beixi who came to me."
"Oh, so you do know you were wrong?" Miao Feishuang smiled with her lips but not her eyes. "Anything else?"
"And..." Lu Yuhao frowned. "I shouldn’t have let her stand so close to me. I won’t do that again."
Miao Feishuang nodded slightly. "Do you still want to stay married to me?"
"Of course I do," Lu Yuhao said. "Whether Yi Beixi comes back to China or not, she’s not going to affect our relationship."
"All right then," Miao Feishuang agreed begrudgingly. "Since you want me to forgive you, shouldn’t you properly admit you were wrong?"
"I admit it," Lu Yuhao nodded at once.
Miao Feishuang ate another piece of durian. "Then show some sincerity. The durian shells are here to punish you!"
Lu Yuhao finally understood. "You want me to kneel on the durian shells?"
