Possessed By The God: God's Choice Series I (omegaverse bl)
Chapter 60: Elias ’possessive’ Deus
Elias’s POV
Some minutes ago (outside the Stiles’ heavily protected mansion)
"Nine hundred and fifty six" I mutter under my breath, touching my fingertips to each other to keep in touch.
"Nine hundred and fifty seven."
My other hand is wrapped around the metal body of my pocket watch. I’m counting the seconds with vibration coming from inside the watch.
"Nine hundred and fifty eight." the sound of shoes crushing rocks makes me look up and I find Lucas staring at me.
The family guard moves closer to me and I lift brow to give him a questioning look.
"Nine hundred and fifty nine."
I am in no mood to entertain three men who act like hormonal teenagers in their early twenties.
"Nine hundred and sixty." I say the number quietly and Lucas starts to laugh.
"Pay up bitches! I won the bet" Lucas announces and runs to the other side of the car where my brothers are snickering.
Irrelevant.
"He’s seriously counting down thirty minutes on seconds?" Damien asks.
"Our brother is deranged. Old news" Kai responds with an interested sigh.
"Pay up" Lucas says and I choose to ignore them. Focused, my eyes stay on the first three guards keeping me from Noah.
It will cost me nothing to turn them into human rugs. Or as my older brother would say, human red carpets.
I promised Noah.
I promised Noah I’d give him thirty minutes. And I promised myself to rein in the death thirsty monster in me until thirty minutes are done.
"Asshole" I hear Damien mutter before he shoves a wad of cash into Lucas’ waiting hand.
"So, Metallio...how does it feel to be married to the man of your dreams?" Lucas asks me and I freeze.
The tight grip I have on myself loosens a bit.
The man of my dream is the one with cherry blossoms; and the boy with the cherry blossoms is a delicate topic.
Damn it. Noah has been gone for seventeen minutes and I’m getting more impatient.
"Are you two in love yet?" Lucas, clueless of how I’m spiraling, asks and Damien shuts him up for me.
"Sensitive area, Luke. Cut it" my older brother says and I turn my attention to the mansion again.
I don’t like losing control of things. And I hate it even more when it involves losing control of people. Anything that’s mine needs to be in my line of sight always.
I can’t hold back.
I need to bring Noah out of that place.
"Pay up, he’s charging towards the house and it’s not yet thirty minutes" Kai says with glee and Damien starts to mumble.
"How’d I get all the bet wrong?" he asks and shoves another wad of cash at Kai.
Their activities don’t concern me. There’s a pressure in my chest, and the longer time I spend away from Noah, the worse it becomes.
How the fuck did I survive without him for this long?
"Now" I order and cock my gun as I head for the house.
"Hey, you gave him thirty minutes" Damien calls after me but I’m not listening.
My possession is in there. I want him. And I want him now.
"Let us through" I say to the guards at the front line of the barricade and they look at each other.
"Fuck yourself Deus-" a bullet through his throat sends him to the floor with blood sprouting from his throat like a fountain.
I tilt my head at the others.
"Let us through" I repeat myself.
Two seconds of no response is enough to trigger me. I shoot the two men who reach for their guns at the same time. And with three Stiles men dead, my brothers let loose.
They open fire like they’ve been waiting to do this all their lives and I don’t wait for them to finish up.
The omega I claimed and put a ring on is behind those doors and those doors are in my face like a fucking barrier.
A barrier...it’s common knowledge that death has no barriers.
The rich, the poor, the alphas, the omega, the betas all die. Everyone fucking dies.
I walk into the building while my brothers have their fun at the door.
I hear Damien’s laughter and the maniacal sound of Kai’s taunting.
Irrelevant.
The sweet smell of strawberry and the inhumanly cold scent of my own pheromones wafts over to me.
’Noah is there’ my alpha growls impatiently.
Just the smell of him has my mouth watering. Letting him go would be impossible. I need to see Noah now.
I kick the door keeping me from him open and the sight that greets me burns.
Roman Stiles is on his knees in front of my husband. My husband is looking at him with a look I’ve never seen before. How did Roman Stiles bring a new reaction out of my own possession?
What the fuck are they doing?
With a growl, I step into the room and Roman gets up quickly. The little bastard dares to shield Noah from me while growling at me.
He will not be alive by lunch time.
The movement is small, but Roman tries to reach for Noah’s hand and Noah rejects his advance by hiding his hand behind his back.
Good.
Good boy.
"Come" I tell him in a low tone.
Anger and something I would hate to name are coursing through my veins like liquid nitrogen.
Noah keeps his head down and walks over to stand beside me.
I grab the omega by the throat, pull him closer and run my nose along the elegant line of his neck.
The audience don’t matter. He doesn’t matter. My order is all that matters. His state of being is the most important thing.
"He didn’t scent me" Noah says with his eyes fixed on the floor.
I pull back to study his face; his brows are not pinched together. His lips are pressed closed. And his smell is stable.
He’s not lying.
"Noah, this guy treats you like an animal, you’re better than that" Roman says with too much passion for a man who might die in the next two minutes.
"Rock" I respond for him.
"I treat him like a rock" I say, pressing my thumb to Noah’s pulse point and his scent spikes.
The response to me is perfect. My possession is okay. And I breathe out at the way he reacts to me just fine.
"You’re sick. Demented, and I’ll make sure I watch you burn to the ground" Roman spits out.
"Fuck, can I kill him yet?" Damien asks loudly.
"What’s the conclusion on the conversation?" Kai asks, playing the role of the reasonable one while I tame my insanity with my hand on Noah’s neck and my eyes on his face.
Why isn’t he looking at me?
"Come back tomorrow with Noah and we’ll talk" Roman says.
’That picture frame would leave a nice crack on his skull’ my alpha says with sick patience.
"You don’t get to tell us what to do, boy" Damien growls violently and Roman clenches his fist by his side.
"Fine" I say.
"Fine?" Damien asks with disbelief.
"Fine" I repeat.
Between today and tomorrow, I’m sure I would have figured out why Noah won’t look at me.
And by then, l would have also determined how Roman Stiles would be sent back to the goddess.
