Pokemon: Reincarnated as ash live my life with adventures
Chapter 348 - 346: Charicific Valley
Chapter 348: Chapter 346: Charicific Valley
After a restful stay at Wilhomena’s lake-view mansion, Ash and his harem resumed their journey toward Azalea Town for the next Johto League Gym challenge.
The morning sun painted the sky in soft gold as the group left the peaceful lakeside behind. Pikachu rode on Ash’s shoulder while Eevee trotted beside Giselle, and the rest of the girls walked close together, chatting lightly about the road ahead.
The path soon led them into a series of deep canyons where the stone walls rose high on either side. The air carried a faint echo with every footstep. Misty cupped her hands around her mouth and called out, "Hello!" The word bounced back several times, making the group laugh.
Melody grinned and tried next. "Ash is the best husband!" The canyon repeated the phrase, drawing giggles from the others.
Even Sabrina allowed a small smile as Daisy and Erika joined in, creating a playful chorus of echoes that filled the rocky passage.
As their laughter faded, a faint answering voice drifted down from above. The group looked up to see a woman standing on a high cliff edge, her long hair fluttering in the wind. She raised a hand in greeting.
"Hello down there!" she called. "I couldn’t help hearing your voices. My name is Liza. I’m the caretaker of the Charicific Valley."
Ash and the girls exchanged curious glances. Liza continued, her tone friendly yet knowing. "I can tell you have a Charizard with you. The faint scent of his flame is unmistakable. And of course, I know who you are, Ash Ketchum. Word of your victory at the Violet Gym reached us quickly... and I still remember the Charizard you used during the Kanto League. He’s quite the specimen."
She gestured invitingly. "Why don’t you all come visit the valley? I think you’ll find it interesting."
Without waiting for an answer, Liza called out, "Charla!" A strong female Charizard rose into the air behind her, wings beating powerfully. Liza climbed onto her back with practiced ease.
"Some of the girls are welcome to ride with me if they’d like," Liza offered.
Erika and Daisy exchanged excited looks and quickly accepted, climbing carefully onto Charla’s back. Meanwhile, Giselle released her female Salamence. The Dragon-type let out a low, elegant roar as Misty, Giselle, and Melody climbed onto her broad back.
Ash smiled and tossed a Poké Ball.
"Charizard, come on out!"
In a flash of light, Charizard appeared, landing heavily on the canyon floor. He stretched his wings wide and released a proud roar that echoed through the cliffs. His tail flame burned with a distinctive mutated white core mixed with crimson the mark of his Holy Blaze ability. The sight made both Charla and Giselle’s Salamence pause for a moment, their eyes lingering on the powerful male with clear interest.
Ash climbed onto Charizard’s back while Pikachu and Eevee settled onto his shoulders. With Liza leading the way on Charla, the group took to the skies. The wind rushed past as they soared over the canyons, following the caretaker toward a hidden valley nestled between towering mountains.
When they finally landed, the view took their breath away. The Charicific Valley stretched out before them a vast natural arena of rocky cliffs, open training grounds, and dozens of wild Charizard of all sizes flying and battling among themselves. The air was thick with the scent of fire and the sound of powerful wings.
Liza dismounted and turned to the group with a proud expression. "This is the Charicific Valley. It’s an ancient place where the greatest Charizard in history have lived and trained. The ones here are naturally trained."
Melody tilted her head. "Naturally trained? What does that mean?"
Liza smiled. "Exactly what it sounds like. The Charizard here don’t rely on human trainers. They train and compete against each other every single day. Because the training is so intense and the competition so fierce, the Charizard that emerge from this valley are considered among the strongest in the entire world."
Ash listened carefully. As Liza spoke, a familiar blue system window appeared in his vision.
Ding!
Mission: Show Liza what a Pokémon trained by an Aura Guardian can do.
Description: Use Charizard to defeat the 100 Charizards of the valley and make him the undisputed king of the Charicific Valley.
Reward: Charizard Level +10, Charizardite Y, Charizard Bond Evolution form unlocked, new Ability – Fire Dragon
Fire Dragon: Whenever Charizard enters battle against Fire, Flying, or Dragon-type Pokémon, its power is boosted by 30%.
Ash’s eyes widened slightly at the rewards. Bond Evolution something he only knew from Greninja in his previous world and a powerful new ability. The chance to push Charizard even closer to the peak was too good to pass up. He dismissed the window and turned to Liza with calm determination.
"Liza," he said, "I want Charizard to challenge every Charizard in this valley. I want him to conquer it."
Liza’s expression shifted from surprise to disbelief. "What?! Are you serious? Do you have any idea how strong the Charizard here are?"
Ash remained collected. Charizard, standing beside him, grinned fiercely and let out a low, eager growl. The Fire-type still remembered the promise Ash had made when he was a small Charmander that one day he would become the world’s strongest Charizard. After defeating Shiny Rayquaza and training rigorously in Pallet Town alongside Garchomp, Mewtwo, Mew, and the legendary bird trio, Charizard was hungrier than ever for a real test against his own kind.
"I’m completely serious," Ash continued. "My goal has always been to make Charizard the strongest Charizard in the world. Conquering this valley is the first step. I hope you’ll allow us to challenge it."
Liza crossed her arms, clearly reluctant. After a long moment she sighed. "Fine. But if your Charizard loses to the ones here... you leave him in the valley. That’s the rule for outsiders who challenge us."
Ash nodded without hesitation. "I accept."
Charizard roared in agreement, his white-cored tail flame flaring brighter. The surrounding wild Charizard turned their heads toward the newcomers, sensing the challenge in the air. The girls exchanged excited and slightly nervous glances.
Misty grinned. "This is going to be intense."
Sabrina’s eyes glowed faintly. "Charizard’s aura is calm... but extremely focused."
Giselle looked at Ash with quiet pride. "Master... please be careful."
Erika, Daisy, and Melody all offered encouraging words as the group prepared for what was about to become one of Charizard’s greatest trials.
Liza raised her voice so that every Charizard in the valley could hear. "Listen up! This outsider’s Charizard has challenged the entire valley! The strongest among you may step forward!"
The air filled with powerful roars as several large Charizard took to the sky, circling overhead. Ash climbed onto his partner’s back once more, eyes sharp with determination.
"Let’s show them what we’ve got, Charizard," he said quietly. "This is where you take the first real step toward becoming the strongest."
Charizard answered with a deep, confident roar that shook the valley floor. The battle for the title of King of the Charicific Valley was about to begin.
