Chapter 872: Chapter 1089: Traitor
Chapter 872: Chapter 1089: Traitor
Using her Intermediate-level Psychic abilities, Ella learned from Lilligant why it had come out of the secret realm to the outside world.
Although she felt surprised that the other party came outside purely because of an extreme love for dancing, she could understand.
Humans had their own preferences, and Pokémon did too—not all Pokémon enjoyed battling.
Some Pokémon liked cooking, others enjoyed singing, some had even made extraordinary achievements in the medical field, and some just preferred lazing around.
In every field, besides the presence of humans, there were also Pokémon.
Pokémon that loved dancing as much as Lilligant were actually quite common in the outside world, and Pokémon dance troupes were too numerous to count.
Top-tier Pokémon dance troupes were even honored guests of nobles and powerful figures in various countries.
What Ella found surprising was that a Liligant so passionate about dancing could also be this strong.
It was very rare to find someone who balanced both strength and hobbies like this.
In the entertainment industry, the only example currently was Elite Catherine, who was not only the Fairy-type Elite but also a queen in the entertainment world, excelling in film, television, and music, achieving the pinnacle in all three fields.
So, it seemed that her next task was to teach Liligant human dance styles and later take it to watch dance performances, maybe even something like a dance show.
Ella had already turned on her computer and was showing Liligant some dance videos, and the latter was watching intently.
From the look of it, it was indeed completely absorbed in dancing.
Ella took out her phone and checked if there were any notable dance troupe performances recently—and as it turned out, there was one.
"The Lopunny Dance Troupe is performing tonight at Angle Hall."
What a coincidence.
The Lopunny Dance Troupe was one of the more famous troupes in the country and even had some international recognition.
However, the tickets had already been sold out.
For an ordinary person, there would be no way to get one, but for Ella, it was just a phone call.
As Julian's secretary, and with Julian's rising status in Drakoria, her own standing had naturally increased as well.
Even the heads of some prominent families treated her with respect.
Not showing her respect meant disrespecting Julian, and given her beauty, who knew if there was something beyond work between her and Julian?
Ella put away her phone and said with a smile, "I'll take you to see a dance performance tonight."
Liligant's eyes lit up slightly as it quickly nodded.
"Is it just us? Is Julian also coming?"
"The Commander probably won't come. Compared to watching performances, he prefers playing games."
She understood Julian fairly well.
Checking the time, she realized that three or four hours had passed since Julian started handling the documents. With just that many files, he should have finished processing them by now.
"You stay here and keep watching. I'll go see how the Commander is doing."
Lilligant nodded.
Ella then stood up and left.
She wasn't worried about leaving Lilligant alone here.
First, it was very safe—no one would enter without her permission.
Second, the other party was a Champion-level Pokémon. If danger appeared, it would be fine even if Ella herself wasn't.
Knock knock
After knocking twice, Ella opened the door and walked in. She saw Julian with his legs on the desk, holding his phone and shouting, "Go! Go! I just stunned them all!"
Celebi and Jirachi beside him looked equally excited, their fingers practically about to spark from tapping the screen.
Ella silently walked over to Julian, picked up the documents on the left, and examined a few.
When she reached the sixth one, she discovered it hadn't been processed. The seventh and eighth were the same.
She didn't bother checking the rest.
"We won! How was that? That last play was all me—I controlled five of them!" Julian said excitedly.
"I was pretty amazing too, okay? I followed up right away!" Celebi said.
"And me! My Alakazam played great, right? Otherwise that last Gengar would have escaped!" Jirachi hurriedly added.
Seeing Julian and the two little ones all celebrating happily, Ella's pretty face darkened slightly. She leaned close to Julian's ear and said:
"Commander, how are the documents coming along?"
"Documents?"
Julian looked at Ella, who had somehow entered without him noticing, and blinked. The expression on her face seemed somewhat dangerous.
His gaze then drifted to the files on the left side of the desk.
"Strange… I was clearly handling documents just now. How did I suddenly start playing games?"
Julian wore a baffled expression as he looked at the documents on the desk, then at the phone—which still displayed the victory screen, and he was the MVP.
Looking at the expression on Julian's face, Ella couldn't help but feel a vein bulge on her forehead. If anyone wanted a Commander like this, they should hurry up and take him—she was mentally exhausted.
"Maybe we should just let the Grand Elder handle it," Ella suggested.
"You're right—let grand-uncle handle them. He's old, so he should stay busy and keep his mind active. That can help prevent dementia."
Julian nodded, but the words coming out of his mouth were truly outrageous.
Fortunately James wasn't there, otherwise Julian would definitely have gotten a few knocks on the head.
"Where's Lilligant?" Julian asked.
He only saw Ella, but not Lilligant.
"It's watching dance videos," Ella said.
"Mm, I'll leave it to you then. I'm planning to head back to Lake City soon," Julian said.
Ella nodded. She had expected Julian to say that. The fact that he had stayed here for a while already seemed somewhat miraculous to her.
"But Commander, before you leave, you should handle this matter."
Ella pointed to a document—the one titled "Suspected Treason of a Certain Elite".
"Do we have evidence?" Julian asked.
"We've already obtained it. He does indeed have connections with Wyvernia."
"Wyvernia?" Julian said, surprised.
Hadn't Wyvernia already become Drakoria's backyard? This guy must be joking, right?
"The contact started ten years ago. Later, when Wyvernia became our friend, their transactions stopped."
"But a while ago, our people found records of his previous transactions with Wyvernia over there."
"I see."
Julian nodded, a slight sneer appearing on his face. "This traitor probably never expected us to find clues from Wyvernia."
He had hidden himself well—not a single trace had been exposed in Drakoria. But unfortunately for him, they had accidentally found relevant clues and evidence over in Wyvernia.
"Then just have someone arrest him directly."
Just a late-stage Elite trainer—there was no way such a person would require Julian to act personally.
"He's gone missing," Ella said, her expression turning grim.
