Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator
Chapter 1215: Fragile Girl_2
[You’ve captured Drifloon, your Ghost companions have increased]
[You’ve captured Misdreavus, your Ghost companions have increased]
The Paranormal Fan chose them as partners precisely due to her special physique, and they happen to be Pokémon Melissa owns and is very familiar with, knowing how to train them.
Very soon.
The Paranormal Fan, with her new companions, began her second Gym challenge.
Unfortunately, just as she understood Melissa’s Pokémon, Melissa understood Misdreavus and Drifloon very well, leading to another failed challenge.
[You realized your weakness in battle response and strategy, but as you ponder how to improve, Melissa finds you]
The two battles made Melissa completely give up on encouraging the Paranormal Fan to become a Coordinator Trainer.
She always thought the Paranormal Fan’s physique suited the versatile and flamboyant contest better than the power-seeking league tournament.
But Melissa felt she shouldn’t forcibly interfere with someone’s dream.
She started to formally teach battle tactics to the Paranormal Fan, guiding her on how to avoid pitfalls and common strategies for Misdreavus and Drifloon.
[You eagerly absorb various knowledge because you know time is limited]
The Paranormal Fan wanted to keep up with peers, determined to participate in the league tournament this year, a vow she made when lying on her sickbed.
[Under Melissa’s guidance, you spent a fulfilling two months]
[Your Drifloon evolved into Drifblim]
[Your Misdreavus evolved into Mismagius]
The day Drifloon evolved was also when the Paranormal Fan successfully broke through the Fortree Gym.
She received a departure gift from Melissa – [Dark Stone], enabling Misdreavus to evolve into Mismagius.
Carrying three fully evolved Ghost-type Pokémon, the Paranormal Fan officially set off.
“This prelude is quite long.”
Baimu couldn’t help but complain.
Though from the simulated plot’s internal time frame, most time had passed, with only a few months left until the league tournament begins.
And so far, the Paranormal Fan’s mysterious physique hasn’t shown anything too magical.
This made him curious about what memories he might gain.
Doesn’t seem to help with opening the entrance to the Spirit Realm.
The screen transitions.
The Paranormal Fan takes a train as scheduled to the city where she truly begins her Gym challenge journey –
[You’ve arrived in Wildfield City, a city coexisting with the Great Wetland]
Besides the Gym challenge, the Paranormal Fan chose this first stop because she wanted to see the Great Wetland promoted on TV.
Unlike in the game, the animated world’s Great Wetland lacks features like the Hunting Zone but retains tourism functions.
Its beautiful environment often appears on TV.
In the past, the Paranormal Fan could only satisfy cravings through her phone, now she’s finally here.
[The Wildfield City you see is just like on TV, where it rains profusely year-round; Gengar flew above you as an umbrella to prevent you from falling ill]
This Gengar is like a parent.
Baimu glanced at his Altered-color Gengar below, suddenly recalling his own Gray Fatty was equally considerate, just loving mischief more.
The Great Wetland tour ended.
The Paranormal Fan headed straight for the Gym.
[You challenged the Wildfield Gym]
Wildfield Gym’s Leader, Yoshihiko, a strong man wearing a wrestling mask and bare-chested, using Water Attribute Pokémon.
[You did all your homework before coming, making your Gym challenge journey very smooth]
Gengar and Mismagius entered the fray, easily defeating Wooper, Buizel, and Gyarados.
The Paranormal Fan’s accumulation over the past months allowed her to easily pass the second Gym, leaving Yoshihiko surprised at the small girl’s prowess despite her frail physique.
[You defeated Yoshihiko and earned the Wildfield Badge]
Before leaving.
The Paranormal Fan visited the Great Wetland again, seemingly especially fond of vast and far-reaching places, probably a habit formed from her former soul-detached sky cruising.
Unfortunately.
Even though Gengar guarded so carefully, she still caught a cold.
The Paranormal Fan was forced to stay in Wildfield City for three days before leaving, causing concern among her family during video calls home.
Her mother even considered coming to fetch her, which was urgently refused.
Finally, when the cold recovered.
[You took a ferry to leave Wildfield City, with the next target being the port city – Marine City]
The Paranormal Fan evidently chose the ferry yearning for the sea, but her first-ever boat ride since childhood led to seasickness soon after recovering from her cold.
The accompanying Gengar and other Pokémon looked on a bit helplessly.
Not a good start to the journey!
[You were seasick all the way to Marine City, leaving you with no energy to challenge the Gym, and residing temporarily at the Pokémon Center]
Miss Joy, even in the simulated story, was very considerate; though busy, she carved out time to care for the Paranormal Fan, restoring her condition by the next day.
[You viewed the sunlit city with a different perspective from yesterday; the solar panel-laid roads make you curious]
The Paranormal Fan stood at the highest point in Marine City – the lighthouse’s top layer, gazing downward, finding traces of her old soul-detachment sensations.
[You’re ready to challenge the Gym; Marine Gym is the third Gym you planned ahead]
The reason lies in the Marine Gym Leader Denji being so strong; the Paranormal Fan doesn’t fear losing, tackling it again if she does, worried mostly about catching up to the league tournament.
Denji.
A friend of Sinnoh Four Celestial Kings’ Da Ye, known as Sinnoh’s strongest Gym Leader, once grew weary due to too many wins until Ash Ketchum’s battle reignited his passion for battle.
This Gym Leader, even worldwide, is considered top-tier, with strength estimated not to be less than that of typical Four Celestial Kings.
Choosing him as the third Gym to expedite time is certainly wise for the Paranormal Fan.
In the end, it was a narrow miss.
Drifblim defeated Jolteon but lost to Luxray; luckily, an explosive move depleted its stamina, letting Mismagius narrowly win.
Gengar faced Raichu, almost taken out by its chain Thunder Strikes.
[You replay the match anxiously, realizing without Pokémon’s effort, you might have lost to Denji]
[You defeated Marine Gym Leader Denji and earned the Marine Badge]
After this battle.
The Paranormal Fan lay in the Pokémon Center for half a day to recover, Gengar and the others fearing she was sick again, bringing Miss Joy over for check-ups multiple times before relieving her.
“Fragile little girl…”
Baimu shook his head.
Truthfully, back in Hearthome City, the Paranormal Fan was quite healthy, capable of running, jumping, and playing hide-and-seek with patrol cars, but soon was listless once she left.
Was it acclimatization?
As he pondered, the Paranormal Fan suddenly welcomed her fourth partner.
Yes, suddenly.
[Your call with your parents was abruptly cut off, and you found a sneaky creature suddenly inside your phone]
Rotom!
Unquestionably, what the Paranormal Fan encountered was the Electronic Ghost.
The mysterious physique activated!
To Baimu’s surprise, this Rotom was related to Denji.
Denji traced Rotom to the Pokémon Center and seeing Rotom staying in her phone, generously stated he would entrust it to the Paranormal Fan!
[You heard Denji ask you to help take care of this Rotom, shocked yet bewildered]
[You’ve captured Rotom, your Ghost companions have increased]
A Gym Leader personally giving a Pokémon is rare.
Baimu couldn’t help but think back to Glazed Gym’s Eco Park, where he was overtly shown Water Attribute Pokémon by Mikoli willing to follow him.
Sadly.
If those creatures weren’t aiming for Altered-color Milotic, he might actually consider it!
[You boarded a train, heading to the next stop – Veil City]
Though the Paranormal Fan frequently fell ill and was unwell, her efficiency in progressing was indeed impressive, reaching her third stop in such a short time.
[You arrived in Veil City amid nightfall, a cold giant metropolis surrounded by steep Rock Mountain on all sides; its developed commercial vibe tempts you to wander around]
