-----------------------
Because the new Pokémon food had not been completed yet, Blaziken did not need to begin the new training plan. For now, his main focus was getting used to his body.
Yesterday, Annihilape, Kommo-o, and Gallade had each fought Blaziken once.
This morning, while Blaziken was happily eating breakfast, Toxicroak, Bewear, and Sirfetch’d were looking at him with strange eyes.
For the first time, Blaziken felt that the Pokémon food in his hands did not seem quite as delicious.
Where had that harmonious atmosphere at home gone?
Was this his older brothers’ daily life?
Blaziken seemed to understand why his older brothers were all so enthusiastic about the move Aerial Ace.
Because it really was useful during training!
Even Miraidon and Gengar seemed somewhat tempted to join in.
Miraidon wanted to improve.
Gengar was purely there for fun.
Of course, Gengar definitely would not hold back.
Mainly because the most evil Gengar in the world had no idea what holding back meant.
He was not that kind!
In truth, the Pokémon looking at Blaziken with the hottest gaze was Electabuzz.
Now that Blaziken had evolved, Electabuzz became determined to train even more seriously.
After going back, he would increase the voltage and shock himself hard!
Aside from the electricity from the generator, Electabuzz also felt a little nostalgic for something else.
Once, during a heavy storm at Verdant Cloud Mountain, back when he was still Elekid, he had been struck by lightning.
That feeling of power filling his body, even to the point where his body could barely contain it, had been unforgettable.
Elekid had discharged electricity for a long time before his body returned to normal.
Because of that experience, all of his abilities had improved.
Now that Electabuzz had evolved, his body’s capacity for natural lightning had increased by at least ten times.
If he could absorb lightning from the sky, Electabuzz was confident he could catch up to Blaziken.
Electabuzz also told Julian his thoughts.
Naturally, Julian would satisfy this request.
He had already used his identity as Julian of Veilstone Gym on the Trainer forum to ask online for areas where thunderclouds appeared.
When the thundercloud season arrived, he would bring him to absorb natural lightning.
He really did receive a location.
It was inside Mt. Coronet.
As the enormous mountain range that stretched across the entire Sinnoh region, Mt. Coronet contained many areas that humans had not fully explored.
This seasonal thundercloud hotspot, accidentally discovered by a Trainer, belonged to a semi-developed area.
And the thunderclouds would appear within the next month.
Because the exact timing was not fixed, the other person suggested that Julian go there early and wait.
Previously, Julian had received a Big Nugget from Gengar.
The treasure location Cogita helped decipher was also inside the Mt. Coronet range, and it happened to be not far from the thundercloud area.
On this trip, Julian could handle both matters together.
He just did not know whether Cynthia would have time to go with him.
After breakfast, the first Pokémon to spar with Blaziken was Toxicroak.
Kai waved his fists.
"Youth! Let us burn brightly too!"
Kai was going to catch Corphish, so he was cheering himself on.
As a possible Fighting-type specialist Trainer, although Kai currently only had one Fighting-type Pokémon, Machoke, he had almost finished preparing counters for Flying and Psychic-type Pokémon.
Julian also encouraged him.
"Kai, believe in yourself. Use your fighting spirit to move Corphish!"
Although Kai had studied hard for an entire day, Crabhammer was not a move someone could learn to teach Pokémon in only one day.
Right now, all Kai could rely on was his fighting spirit and youth.
Kai nodded hard, then set off to find that Corphish.
After glancing at Blaziken and Toxicroak’s battle and seeing that it was going smoothly, Julian went to call Cynthia.
"Cynthia, do you remember that ancient treasure Cogita helped decipher?"
Cynthia sounded excited.
"You’ve decided to look for the treasure?"
Julian nodded.
"That’s right. I’ll probably set off in about twenty days. Will it interfere with your Pokémon training?"
He would first go to the thundercloud area to take a look.
If the thunderclouds had not formed yet, he would search for the treasure first.
If the thunderclouds had already formed, then they could absorb lightning while excavating the treasure.
Cynthia smiled and said, "Listen to yourself for a moment. In twenty days, the Elite Four ranking battles will already be over!"
What training would it interfere with?
Speaking of training, the inspiration Cynthia had gained from playing with clay at the pottery studio last time had actually worked after she returned and tried having Garchomp play with mud before practising Brutal Swing.
The progress had improved several times over.
It should allow Garchomp to master Brutal Swing before the Elite Four ranking battles.
When it was suddenly used then, Lucian’s Bronzong and Flint’s Infernape definitely would not be able to withstand it and would be instantly defeated!
It would depend on who was unlucky enough to face her first.
As for Bertha, was she not still hiding a Dragon Dance?
Julian thought about it and realised she was right.
The Elite Four ranking battles would begin in twelve days.
Each member of the Elite Four would battle once a day. For the audience, there would be one battle in the morning and one in the afternoon, making three days in total.
Julian smiled and said, "I’ve been too busy lately and almost forgot something this important. Sorry, sorry."
Cynthia smiled faintly.
"Since you know you were wrong, bring something delicious to the venue and apologise to me in person."
"I have quite a few VIP tickets. Bring Kai with you to watch."
Julian nodded.
"No problem. I’ll definitely prepare the best ingredients!"
Cynthia immediately emphasised, "Flower ice cream is a must. Especially the Gracidea flavour!"
Julian deliberately paused for a moment.
"Did Cassia tell you about last time?"
Cynthia froze for a moment, then narrowed her eyes slightly.
"She said you were still too timid. You clearly prepared everything, but in the end, you still didn’t confess to her!"
"I’m asking you, what are you doing? She’s my best friend. If you don’t seize the chance, be careful, or I’ll introduce her to another handsome guy!"
Julian smiled.
She still wants to turn the tables on me?
"I... sigh... anyway, I’ll make up my mind as soon as possible!"
Julian gave his own acting eighty-two points.
Cynthia snickered, thinking she had successfully put Julian in a difficult position.
"Alright, I won’t talk to you any longer. I’m going to train Garchomp. There’s still quite a bit of progress left to make."
Julian said, "Alright. I look forward to you taking first place in the Elite Four ranking battles!"
After hanging up, Gallade was treating Blaziken, who was spitting purple bubbles.
Beside them, Bewear had already begun warming up her paws.
Sirfetch’d was very calm, carrying out his daily training on the side.
He had given Bewear and Electabuzz the chance to battle Blaziken first.
Sirfetch’d’s knightly spirit was on full display.
The only one suffering was Blaziken.
Training had clearly not officially begun, yet he had already experienced the intensity of the new version.
When it was time for lunch, Kai still had not returned.
Julian told everyone to eat first, then went to look for Kai.
Halfway there, he ran into Kai, who was covered in mud and excitedly holding a Poké Ball.
Seeing Julian, Kai waved excitedly and shouted, "Master, I did it! I didn’t let youth down!"
