Boom!

Aaron punched Sawk straight in the abdomen, and a fierce gust of wind erupted from the impact.

It was nothing more than the force of his punch.

"Urgh..."

Sawk spat out a mouthful of blood, its face contorting from the impact.

Boom!

Its body flew backward more than ten meters and slammed into the ground, leaving a deep crater behind.

Foam spilled from its mouth, its eyes spinning as it completely lost the ability to battle.

Sawk had never imagined it would one day be knocked out by a human with a single punch.

Fuck Quincy!

That was the last thought that surfaced in its mind before it passed out.

The sports field went dead silent.

You could have heard a pin drop.

The students stared with their mouths hanging open and their eyes wide with shock.

None of them could believe what they had just seen.

A human had punched a Pokémon more than ten meters away?

Even an action movie would struggle to make something like that look believable.

Was this some kind of joke?

That was an Advanced-level Sawk, not some newly hatched Pokémon.

And Aaron had knocked it out with one punch?

The students were completely stunned.

Gulp...

In the silence, the sound of people swallowing was strangely clear.

Then the crowd erupted.

"What... what just happened? Is this some kind of setup?"

"Could Quincy and Aaron be working together and putting on a show for us?"

"Who do you think you are...? Why would they need to put on a show for us?"

"That makes sense... but I feel like you just insulted me, and I can't prove it."

"Aaron is insane... How can a human be physically strong enough to one-shot an Advanced-level Pokémon?"

"But didn't the Fighting Champion once battle an Elite-level Pokémon barehanded?"

"He's the Fighting Champion! How are we supposed to compare ourselves to a monster like that?"

"But Aaron is also number one on the Hidden Dragon Rankings. Even the Fighting Champion never reached number one."

The field erupted into frantic discussion.

At that moment, however, the most shocked person there was Quincy.

His eyes bulged as he stared at his Pokémon lying motionless on the ground, foaming at the mouth.

Quincy was equal parts shocked and furious.

His face flushed red, then purple with rage and humiliation.

"Instructor Quincy... it's down."

"Does that mean we passed?"

Aaron asked calmly.

"Fine... I'll admit you're impressive."

Quincy swallowed his anger and glared at Aaron.

"Tomorrow is the last day of trainer camp. I'll tell you the final test in advance."

Still seething, Quincy swept his gaze over the students.

In the end, his eyes settled on Aaron.

"Your final test is to defeat me."

"Each of you will send out your strongest Pokémon, and all of you will attack together."

"As long as you defeat one of my Pokémon, you pass the final assessment."

"Only then will you pass the camp."

"If you can't do it, every one of you fails."

"Then every last one of you can get the hell out."

"Dismissed."

With that, Quincy shot Aaron one last glare and walked away.

Only the bewildered students remained.

"Damn... that old bastard really has no shame. He's a Class Champion-level Trainer."

"He wants us to battle a Class Champion-level Pokémon?"

"I can't believe he even came up with that... He might as well just fail us outright."

"He said we can all attack at once, and he'll only use one Pokémon. Maybe there's still a tiny bit of hope."

"What hope? Most of us only have Elite-level or Gym-level Pokémon. How the hell are we supposed to beat a Class Champion-level Pokémon?"

"Sigh... What else can we do? We just have to hope Aaron and Braveon can pull through."

"Hmph... As if they could actually defeat a Class Champion-level Pokémon."

The students groaned and cursed under their breath.

As far as they were concerned, they were already doomed to fail.

It seemed they really would have to apply for academic leave and report to a League training base for remedial training.

Everyone left looking utterly defeated.

Only Aaron and Braveon remained.

Braveon walked over to Aaron with a smile.

"Aaron... you're seriously strong!"

Aaron gave him a sideways look.

"We're battling Quincy tomorrow. You'd better take this seriously."

"Don't hold back and coast through it again. I'm serious."

"Hahaha..."

Braveon laughed awkwardly.

"I've got you, don't I? No need for me to step in."

"Keep hiding your strength, then."

"You still won't be a match for me in the Intercollegiate Freshman Tournament."

Aaron looked at Braveon with disdain, then turned and headed toward the cafeteria.

Aaron was a simple man:

Food first, problems later.

Few things in life beat a good meal.

"Hmph... Then just wait and see."

Braveon smiled confidently, then caught up with Aaron.

Their shadows stretched long across the sports field as they walked away.
