Chapter 102: Noble Souls Will Leave Traces in the Sky

"WOO-HOO!"

Blaze leaped high into the air, soaring above the forest canopy at an unprecedented speed before plummeting down, his legs plowing a massive trench into the dirt upon landing.

He was currently adapting to his Silver Werewolf body—or, more accurately, he was getting used to the lingering physical sensations immediately following the Transformations between his Human form and his Silver Werewolf form.

The [Silver Bloodline] Skill allowed him to complete the Transformation in two to three seconds. In combat, it would first unleash a potent wave of pressure and a Holy Flash before completing the Transformation in about one second.

He had conducted quite a few experiments along the way.

Small Monsters, like a goblin or similar creatures, would be pinned directly to the ground by the pressure of the Transformation, unable to move.

For large Monsters, such as a Level 30 feral Wild Boar, the pressure was no longer enough to control a creature with innate Berserk traits, but the Holy Flash could force the Wild Boar into a state of Dizziness.

Masterfully utilizing the [Silver Bloodline] to perform Transformations in battle could not only achieve brief crowd control and interrupts but also alter his own attack rhythm, catching opponents off guard.

This was the ideology Greenland had previously conveyed: never give the enemy a chance to adapt to your attack rhythm.

Of course, the prerequisite for pulling this off was that Blaze himself had to first get used to the Attribute Transformations between his Human body and his Silver Werewolf body.

Therefore, Blaze was continuously switching between the two forms, seeking to acclimate to the sense of disparity brought about by instantly swapping between the two different states.

Unfortunately, this proved to be far more difficult than he had imagined.

The Silver Werewolf state boasted significantly higher speed and Power Attributes compared to the Human form, making the disparity from switching too drastic. Either he became too fast all of a sudden while his body felt like a block of iron, unable to execute nimble movements, or he suddenly became too slow, where his mind had already flashed past but his body failed to move.

However, despite encountering many setbacks, his youthful nature still allowed Blaze to enjoy the process of overcoming these difficulties.

"How much further are we from Wolf Head Grass Village?" Blaze looked up and shouted at the chicken circling in the sky.

"If you use your Werewolf speed, we’ll arrive very soon," the chicken said, diving down from the sky and coming to an abrupt halt in front of Blaze. "Although it’s a bit strange to ask, why don’t you just stay in your Werewolf form? That state is significantly stronger than your Human state no matter the situation."

Blaze stroked his chin and replied, "Hmm... If I had to say, I guess I want to pursue possibilities and not let my physical form limit my thinking. And the simplest way to do that is to constantly change my appearance."

How did Greenland deal with a flower she couldn’t pluck? She simply dug up the flower along with the soil.

It was a very simple solution, but under normal circumstances, no one would think of it because everyone was confined by the concept of ’plucking’ the flower.

"Besides, this can also be used as a tactic," Blaze added.

"If you want to instantly adapt to the Power Transformations in your body when switching forms, aside from practice, you’re missing one thing—making your soul noble." The chicken leaned down, looking straight into Blaze’s eyes. Its sharp gaze looked as though it could see right into his soul.

"Originally, the soul and the body exist in a perfect harmony that mutually affirms each other’s existence. Forcibly altering either side will lead to the Destruction of this harmony.

"A Chimera, Titan Hybrid, and living corpses are all products of the harmony between soul and flesh suffering Destruction.

"But the [Silver Bloodline] Skill—no, I should say the Silver Blood itself—is incredibly miraculous. It is the blood within the body, yet it can answer the call of the soul to independently increase its concentration, bringing even more powerful Transformations to the body.

"Its addition has achieved an unbelievable new harmony: the soul influences the blood, the blood influences the body, and the body influences the soul."

"So you’re saying I need a Skill like that [Noble Soul Z] of yours? I don’t even have that. By the way, this is the first time I’ve heard of a Skill Level ranked Z."

"You do have it, and you’ve already enjoyed the results of it."

"Huh?" Blaze stopped in his tracks, looking at the chicken on his shoulder in confusion.

"The [Silver King]. That is a title held by Lai Kaion of the purebred Silver Race. Did you really think you got that just by obtaining a large amount of Silver Blood?" The chicken rolled its eyes, looking at him as if he were a lost cause. "Have you forgotten what I said when we first met?"

"..." Blaze fell silent, crossing his arms in deep thought.

He only remembered a barrage of voices bombing his brain, along with a smug little chick.

"I said that I want to become the rooster of the High Heaven, to secure a seat in the sky!"

Blaze recalled it, but he was still completely bewildered.

"Your soul holds the lingering warmth of the stars! It’s [Leo]! This Skill itself is used to elevate your soul’s Personality!" The chicken pecked at Blaze’s helmet in exasperation, while Blaze nonchalantly waved it away.

"You should have just said that from the start. Spouting a bunch of jargon just confuses me."

"I was trying to explain it clearly from the fundamental principles." The chicken coughed lightly, tilting its head back to gaze at the sky. "[Leo] is the advanced form of a Lion that possesses a [Noble Soul] after securing a place in the sky!"

"In other words, one day when you secure a position in the sky, your [Noble Soul] will turn into, uh... the [Hen Constellation], and then you’ll gain some terrifying special ability." Blaze summarized the chicken’s dream.

"Do you have to use such an awful name like the [Hen Constellation]? You had so many other options like the [Rooster Constellation] or the [High Heaven Bird Constellation], but you just had to say that one."

"Then how about the [Hen Constellation]?"

Blaze wasn’t teasing or being sarcastic; he was completely serious. And it was precisely because of this that the chicken felt incredibly utterly defeated.

This guy had absolutely no talent for naming things; he only knew how to use literal translations.

"Anyway, because the noble Lion has already fallen from the sky, you were able to obtain the [Leo] Skill. Now, you just need to use those Star Fragments—which were once a part of [Leo]—to raise [Leo]’s Skill Level, thereby elevating your soul’s Personality."

The chicken gave up on explaining those convoluted tales and origins to a guy with simple thought Circuits like Blaze.

"Don’t ask why. Once you do this, you’ll be able to shorten the time it takes to adapt to your Attribute Transformations."

"Understood!" Blaze truly didn’t ask a single question, nor was he curious. He took out the Star Fragments right on the spot and crushed them.

[Skill Level has increased.]

[Leo F-E]

[Reduces damage taken from Slash and Pierce by 60%. Awakens the slumbering Lion.]

Because Blaze’s Intelligence and Faith were not yet high enough, he didn’t see the new prompt.

[An evil soul has been disturbed.]
