Chapter 1394: Chapter 452: Jianxue of Tama, You’re a Genius at Suicide! (2)
"This time we prepared 15g, and then when we took it out to play with, it accidentally fell onto the alcohol burner and exploded."
Nima...
Wildman opened his mouth but didn’t know what to say. Jianxue was one of the most legendary players among the many legendary players, but these words coming out of his mouth took legendary to a new height.
"Why did you have an alcohol burner next to you?"
"We were hungry, and the two of us planned to use the alcohol burner to cook some instant noodles, but we forgot to turn off the flame just as it fell onto it."
Jianxue’s intention was good, saving money, right? Don’t order takeout, eat instant noodles instead.
But in a chemistry lab, almost nine out of ten explosion accidents are caused by alcohol burners. This dude is clearly wild, completely forgetting about the experiment safety manual.
Wildman hesitated for a long time before squeezing out a sentence from between his teeth
"You’re truly awesome."
Immediately putting away his speechlessness
"So does this mean we can now mass-produce metallic hydrogen?"
The explosive power of metallic hydrogen is indeed amazing; even 15g of it almost equals the power of an anti-tank mine.
But just because it can be prepared in small quantities in the lab, doesn’t mean it can be mass-produced industrially. That’s a whole different matter, mainly considering cost and equipment issues.
"Yes, we can mass-produce it now; it’s just that the electricity consumption will be extremely high."
Jianxue’s answer somewhat surprised Wildman
"Really? That quickly?"
Jianxue said
"We were only verifying that the processes in the recreated experiment were correct; the parameters and conditions stated in the paper are very clear, and we have experimental samples. It’s just that it hasn’t been actually put into industrial production."
"Someone has already gone to the market to look for equipment, we’re ready to submit applications to the BOSS."
Wildman nodded, feeling pretty good. At least the money spent these days didn’t go to waste. Despite all the chaos, it’s considered a good thing that we achieved results.
It may not work as a battery, but it’s definitely top-notch as an explosive.
It’s just a bit strange that even though samples have been made and the paper is so detailed, there’s been no related news seen elsewhere until today. Where did the BOSS source this from?
Even if Cyberspace is impressive, it can’t conjure up physical entities.
This wave of planning truly feels like something divine fell from the sky.
But who cares.
As long as I can throw this stuff at the opponent and make it explode, that’ll be satisfying enough.
"By the way."
As Jianxue picked up his arm, ready to call chemical factory players to take away the remnants, he suddenly remembered something and hurriedly stopped the ones about to leave after receiving his call.
"We have a new piece of equipment; do you want to consider it?"
Now their liquidity is almost drained dry, they’ve gotta find a place to recoup some, whether it’s useful or not, sell it first, con one if we can.
"What equipment?"
Wildman took a step back
"You’re not trying to tell me about some man-controlled Kulten missile or something, are you?"
During WWII, Neon once had a godly operation where they put people on torpedoes and launched them, glamorously named ’Kulten Torpedoes’, but these things were like septic tanks; they were said to be anti-armor and anti-ship, but they caused virtually no damage and achieved no significant results.
Because the actual value of these suicide weapons wasn’t against the enemy, but to intimidate internal anti-war factions through extreme ideology and fear, creating an illusion of nationwide mania within the military. Only then could soldiers refrain from thinking about other things, abandon all thought, follow orders, and risk their lives.
Neon People have a somewhat mystical psyche, which is that you absolutely cannot go against the collective, especially the older generation, otherwise you’ll be ostracized and bullied by the whole community.
Because in the past, Neon’s living conditions were extremely harsh, material and food were scarce, everyone had to band together to survive, otherwise, they’d perish, so the conformity mindset was extremely serious, and the older generation were often the power holders in the village, their experience had to be followed.
So even if everyone knew something was amiss, no one dared to speak up, they just charged forward with their heads down, pretending not to know anything.
This situation’s direct reflection on a societal level was institutional rigidity; moving up the ladder relied on seniority, and internal bullying of dissenters was very severe, with the elderly holding absolute speech power.
This is why, towards the end of WWII, Neon’s army grew increasingly deranged on Iwo Jima and Okinawa, even to the point of cannibalism, which scared quite a few United States soldiers.
Extreme environments breed extreme madmen.
It ultimately led to the upper mold layer considering that landing on the homeland might result in huge casualties, thus they dropped two nuclear bombs in a final slam.
Hence, unless for show, there is no need to use such weapons because they inherently have no strategic value.
Wildman imagined himself standing on a missile, arms crossed, flying towards the enemy’s base.
"..."
Damn it, why does that sound a little tempting?
So cool, it must surely lead to victory!
"No."
Jianxue didn’t deny the Kulten missile idea; indeed, he has some thoughts.
"It’s a single-man aircraft, just like the one our good buddy used before."
"We tried redesigning the experiment a few times and it didn’t work, but Huang Ban’s Artificial Body King Kong offered us a new direction. By reducing weight with miniaturized anti-gravity devices and fuel propulsion, short-term hovering should be achievable."
"How is this thing better than a Predator drone?"
Wildman thought for a moment, feeling it seemed not that useful.
"Boarding and jumping, duh."
