Chapter 1362: Chapter 442: Let Me Show You What a Dimensional Attack Really Means (Part 3)
The Marauder AEW&C aircraft that had advanced a distance over the sea immediately reported back after receiving feedback signals.
"Reporting to the Air Force Commander, enemy frigate signal activity detected in Area 13."
Family Joy, temporarily acting as the Air Force Commander, said,
"Share the reconnaissance signal in real time with the Dawn Squadron. Dawn 02, prepare data relay."
"Understood."
"The AEW aircraft has detected one enemy frigate, two AEW aircraft."
"02 received, all units be advised, the data has been updated, target position has been uploaded to the shared network."
"Frigate, 170/67, altitude 53, speed 130, heading 225, and enemy AEW aircraft in zones 22 and 18, model BQ131, one each. Please confirm intelligence information."
"AEW aircraft passively receiving enemy electronic signals, data processing underway... signals detected, location identified, all units prepare for combat."
Systemic warfare is terrifying precisely because of this; the entire battlefield’s data network is synchronized, meaning once one person knows, everyone knows.
The efficiency of joint operations under shared situational awareness is astonishingly high.
On the HUD view of the Titan, the locations of the Borla and the two enemy AEW aircraft are directly highlighted.
"Dawn 03, 04, initial strike on enemy AEW aircraft; 02 and 01, coordinate to interfere with the enemy frigate, prepare to coordinate with the Army for the Pirate King plan."
"Understood." *4
Amidst the thunderstorm clouds, the 03 and 04 fighters, hidden at high altitude, were in an absolute advantageous position for an initial strike, and unless a high-power search was conducted, they were impossible to locate.
Lightning flashed around the fighters, casting shadows on the clouds, with occassional lightning hits on the fuselage; millions of volts flowed down the lightning rods, discharged at the tail brushes, leaving only a thumb-size black mark on the body.
Ordinary pilots might not have the guts to stay here long-term.
But the two pilot players were truly "immovable by thunder," steadily locking onto the enemy AEW aircraft’s position, pressing the fire button.
Swish—
Two Helington Missiles disengaged from the pylons one after the other.
"Missiles have launched."
The dark thunderstorm clouds provided the perfect cover, allowing the missiles to accelerate and race forward. By the time they entered the enemy AEW aircraft’s detection range and were scanned, they were already in the disengagement phase.
"Missiles spotted, disengage."
The AEW aircraft pilot turned pale at the crimson operational interface, screaming in the channel,
"Missiles incoming from three o’clock! Release countermeasures quickly!"
But at this distance, countermeasures were already useless. The two missiles struck the AEW aircraft’s fuselage directly.
Boom—
The two AEW aircraft, a hundred miles apart, almost simultaneously turned into burning fireballs, crashing towards the sea, creating splashes that were quickly swallowed by the waves.
"AEW return shows target electromagnetic spectrum disappeared, target confirmed destroyed."
The AEW aircraft being blasted by the opponent without warning, this news reached the Europe Joint Air Force Headquarters, leaving everyone in utter disbelief.
What’s the situation?
What’s the situation!
How did they lock and shoot us down before even our radar responded?
We hadn’t even moved, how come you fired first?
Is it Huang Ban or Military Science?
When did their radar technology break through, why do we have no intelligence on it, are the infiltrators just freeloading?
Air Force Commander Hedson looked extremely displeased, his face burning hot, it felt like getting a face-slap.
Fortunately, the Borla’s radar was powerful enough and quickly locked onto the positions of the four Dawn Fighters and synchronized with the command headquarters.
Hedson, slightly cooled, immediately pressed the channel talk button,
"Shark Squadron, Viking Squadron, chase immediately, don’t let them escape."
"Received, heading 270/335, full speed ahead." *2
The two flying squadrons, initially circling the thundercloud periphery, turned their heads, advancing towards the position data sent by Borla.
However, they were under the scanning of the Marauder AEW’s radar from the start, although not previously locked.
Family Joy, watching the moving dozen red markers on the 3D map, said,
"There are enemy aircraft heading your way."
"03/04, alternate retreat, Marauder group advance cover."
"Received." *N
The ’missile racks’ accompanying the floating ship quickly turned, locking onto enemy aircraft based on radar data sent via the AEW data link.
Whoosh whoosh whoosh—
Two to three dozen missiles fired consecutively.
These missiles couldn’t be hidden from Borla’s radar naturally.
"All aircraft be advised, multiple enemy missiles incoming! Evade quickly!"
Boom!!!
Three fighters were unable to evade in time and couldn’t escape missile lock, following in the AEW aircraft’s footsteps.
But several fighters closed in on the retreating 03/04, capturing the Dawn Fighters on their radar pods, only to be shocked that the systems were unresponsive.
"Can’t lock with radar! Their electronic countermeasures are too powerful."
"Close in, use optical lock!"
And when all their attention was focused on the two withdrawing Dawn Fighters,
Titan and another player’s two fighters were flying close to the ocean surface, speeding towards the position of Borla.
The sonic boom cloud of the supersonic flight even cut two watermarks on the sea surface, slicing through waves like a sharp sword.
Titan couldn’t help muttering in the personal squad channel,
"There’s such a long way, can that thing from Super Earth really hit? Is it reliable? Better not to fall into the sea; if you go down here, it’s impossible to save you."
Wildman, watching the technical crew assembling two electromagnetic cannons on the beach, also felt uneasy.
"Hopefully it’s useful, otherwise, just treat it as a firework show, you guys initiate Plan B."
The entire electromagnetic railgun’s length exceeded 20 meters, with two acceleration rails made of superconducting coils, straight and long, wrapped with layers of thick cables, looking like a disassembled electromagnetic motor without an outer casing.
As for the projectile, it consisted of large iron cans three meters in diameter, weighing 5 tons each.
Shooting a 5-ton object over hundreds of kilometers away, even at subsonic speed, is terrifying, and the air resistance the projectile itself suffers is astonishingly high, rivaling the electromagnetic main guns of the main battleships.
What’s more terrifying is that the load inside is not explosives, but people.
If it misses or lacks power and falls into the sea, there’s truly no rescue.
A several hundred kilograms heavy synthetic body won’t even make a bubble in seawater, and no ships will sail and salvage them, the body will just rust and rot in the sea.
Only idiots would sit inside.
Unfortunately, Wildman himself was one of those idiots.
