Chapter 1359: Chapter 441: It’s Simple, I’ll Just Eat It! (Part 3)

"Don’t come any closer! You monster!"

Andrei frantically pulled the trigger, but in his fear-induced madness, he couldn’t shoot accurately without the aid of his artificial eye, and several bullets went wide.

Finally, an Elderly Star Person leapt forward, pinning Andrei down, its claw almost piercing his bones.

Half of a battered mechanical cat face was almost pressing against Andrei’s face, and he could smell the strong, piercing odor of lubricant.

Especially the mechanical eyeball dangling and swinging on the damaged face, with its pupil still staring at him intently.

"Ah!!!"

Andrei’s shrill scream echoed through the channel, sending chills down everyone’s spine.

Then the scout’s voice also came through the channel.

"Captain! Run! It’s the rogue AI! Ah! Stay away from me!!"

It was intentional!

This monster was doing it on purpose!

It’s playing with us one by one until we’re dead.

Even someone as experienced as Yevsky couldn’t help but feel fear, instinct honed in life-and-death situations making him quickly turn his head.

Bang bang bang!!!

Bullets as thick as fingers grazed past the edge of his faceplate.

Then a power armor modified by Rheinmetall burst through the thick smoke, with two electromagnetic cannons at the waist firing madly, the bullets slicing through the dust like knives.

Yevsky immediately returned fire, the two of them crashing through the bushes and hills like speeding tanks, leaving debris in their wake.

The remaining team members were also under attack, barely able to fend for themselves, especially with the Elderly Star Person occasionally mimicking their teammates’ voices in the channel, spreading confusion, screams, and curses, disrupting their fighting spirit. Even when exposed, it would leave behind a creepy electronic laugh.

The longer the fight went on, the more Yevsky felt something was wrong; these creatures were nothing like humans.

"Rykov Generation Five!"

A shout came from within the power armor, as the right hand released a slew of smoke grenades, enveloping the area in thick smoke once again.

Wrapped in the thick smoke, Yevsky roared in anger.

"Suka! What the hell are you?"

Even Tutu, having received the virus alert, didn’t bother speaking to him, while the Elderly Star Person let out an eerie laugh in the channel.

"Do you really think it’s necessary for me to tell you? Foolish humans, we Elderly Star People will rule over you eventually."

What nonsense?

"Rogue AI... rule..."

Yevsky was chilled to the bone.

A shadow appeared in the smoke behind him, with even the radar in his power armor detecting no anomaly.

"Ambush!"

Two electric motors as thick as chopsticks shot out first, pressing directly against Yevsky’s body.

Zzz——

A high-voltage current surged out.

"Ah!"

Yevsky let out a terrible scream, nearly paralyzed, but fortunately, the power armor’s insulation layer, with insufficient voltage, saved his life.

"Who is it!"

Without turning his body, his waist-mounted machine gun hastily swiveled to fire, but the bullets simply passed through the smoke, hitting nothing.

As he turned his face forward, a bat-like shadow engulfed his entire field of vision, two feet kicking against Yevsky’s face.

Exchange Coupon had arrived.

Taking advantage of Yevsky stumbling from the kick, it threw a nanomaterial rope with its right hand that bound his legs firmly, causing Yevsky to lose balance and fall to the ground.

"Suka!"

More and more shadows surrounded them, clearly aiming to completely encircle their squad.

Yevsky’s temper flared with anger.

This shouldn’t be happening; they had broken through the enemy’s defense line, with an entire regiment following behind them.

Were these people ignoring their own defense line just to capture them?

It was evident that Yevsky had overestimated his team’s capabilities while underestimating the opponent’s reaction speed.

"Then let’s die together!"

Knowing there was no escape, Yevsky steeled his resolve.

He pulled a missile from the rocket pod on his shoulder, the warhead made of hardened transparent fiber, with blue liquid visible sloshing inside.

He slammed the warhead against the ground, cracking the tough fiber shell upon impact with a stone, causing light blue liquid to seep out, soaking into the soil.

"Hehe... Hahaha!!!"

Seeing the virus leak, Yevsky’s heart was filled with joy, and he burst into maniacal laughter.

So what if you’re a rogue AI?

Can you possibly extend your reach into reality?

"The virus has leaked."

Exchange Coupon, wearing a respirator and fully covered, wasn’t too concerned about contact but knew the virus could spread with the airflow if left unchecked.

"Let me handle it!"

Tutu removed his helmet, lunged forward with a leap, and to everyone’s bewilderment, lay flat on the ground.

His mouth opened wide, and with teeth like a plow, he dug up the warhead along with the surrounding dirt, shoveling it all into his mouth.

Having consuming implants, he didn’t bother to chew or swallow, directly pouring it into his stomach.

He dug out a hole the size of a basketball, swallowing both dirt and stone.

This action gradually silenced Yevsky’s arrogant laughter, as if a duck had its neck squeezed.

"You..."

He was furious and ashamed.

"So what if you eat it? As long as you’re alive, you’re a source of infection! All of you must die!"

"Oh."

Of course, Tutu was aware of that, so he didn’t bother getting up from the ground, sprawling flat with both hands open, staring skyward, still armored.

Another combat form controlled by an Elderly Star Person pushed through the crowd, the nozzle on its right arm aimed at Tutu.

Whoosh——

Plasma jet erupted, melting both man and power armor together, without a sound of agony till the end.

"...."

Yevsky’s mind froze, staring at those around him, these expressionless creatures, showing no surprise at killing a teammate, as if everything was to be expected.

His lips trembled, and his soul shivered with an icy dread.

He remembered the brainwashing techniques mentioned by his commander before he came.

"Madmen... you’re all madmen... monsters... Hahaha!! All madmen!"

Yevsky drew a handgun from his waist, removed his helmet, and shoved the barrel down his throat.

"You won’t control me!"

Bang!
