Chapter 1299: Chapter 421: You’re Just Like That Silver Guy, Terminal Cancer, Got It?

"Explain clearly what exactly you want to do, or tomorrow you’ll find your mother run over by a car."

"I... I..."

The lieutenant, pale and defeated, wanted to call the corporal in to take out the monster in front of him, but he was punched in the face by the person in the wheelchair, knocking him backwards against the car door.

The cooler door, which wasn’t closed properly, was slammed open, revealing the contents inside the compartment behind it.

Inside the 37-degree temperature controlled chamber, brain cultivation tanks were neatly lined on the shelves.

"Oh my... What the hell, bro, you’re impressive."

The wheelchair pressed its own skull to prevent it from falling off due to intensive motion.

Though often mocked as being a NC, he definitely didn’t want to become literally brain-dead.

"What are you thinking with so many brains, planning to brew six walnuts for mental enhancement?"

Even if he were stupid, he should’ve realized it by now, and immediately hit the distress signal button.

The former identity of Mechanic players, Zeta Technology’s Human Brain Array.

The incident players always feared had finally happened, but it was not in the United States’ Night City, rather it occurred thousands of miles away in Cuba.

The lieutenant shivered in fear; he had never seen such a human before, and with his brain overwhelmed by the impact, he could neither make sense nor communicate clearly.

Are players good people?

In some sense, they are good people.

But when it comes to killing, they never hold back.

This is something Night City’s interest groups have a lot to say about.

Rallying junkies to stir trouble, resisting anti-narcotics laws?

Kill

And even those behind the medical community weren’t spared from being killed along with them.

Black market doctors and pharmaceutical businesses selling drugs on the market were wiped out almost entirely.

Loan sharks, gangs extorting debts with violence?

Kill

Kill them until you dare not loan anymore.

Kill them to the point where Night City is overflowing with heads rolling, blood flowing like rivers.

A gentleman might be deceived by reason, but that’s absolutely impossible for players.

If they agree to maintain a moral baseline to play with you, you’d better behave honestly and not cross that moral line.

Once you cross the line, you’ll realize there are individuals with even fewer boundaries than you.

Do you really think Horizon Corporation managed to gain control over most of Night City and get those civilians to live obediently simply through kindness and cooperation?

It’s more about letting everyone know that this company kills more ruthlessly and bloody than any other.

You all had better behave yourselves.

"Come over here."

In the wheelchair, he grabbed the lieutenant by the hair and dragged him to the operating table.

"What are you going to do?"

The lieutenant struggled in panic, attempting to call for help.

"Help..."

The wheelchair seized his jaw and dislodged it.

"Uh... uh..."

Buzz—

The familiar whir of the chainsaw sounded again, scattering blood and bone fragments everywhere.

Even more frightening was the wheelchair’s face, rendered eerily black by the surgical table lamp.

"Ah————Ah————"

The lieutenant’s screams finally penetrated the car door, enough for the corporal outside binding the disbanded soldiers to hear.

?

He glanced towards the surgical vehicle, initially suspecting that the lieutenant’s anesthetic wasn’t administered properly, thinking that the disbanded soldier was struggling, but upon closer listening, this voice didn’t sound like the lieutenant’s.

Quickly drawing the handgun from his waist, he motioned for the other soldiers to quietly approach the surgical vehicle.

He unlocked the door and poked his head inside.

The lieutenant lying on the operating table was strapped as helplessly as a hog, with his forehead lifted, crudely sliced apart, exposing his bloody brain jumping in the air.

And beside him stood the blood-stained person in the wheelchair, looking as terrifying as a butcher, muttering:

"You’re just like that Silver, terminal cancer beyond saving, understand?"

"You!"

The corporal was stunned, barely managing to shout a word.

With a twitch, the wheelchair plunged the scalpel into the lieutenant’s brain, bringing his struggles to an abrupt halt.

The wheelchair, its face smeared with blood, broke into a smile, its lips splitting back to the ears.

"Look at you, aren’t you careless? Don’t you know no unauthorized personnel in the operating room?"

Bang bang bang!!!

The corporal, nearly exploding in rage, decisively opened fire, but the wheelchair’s position behind the surgical table led all bullets to hit the lieutenant’s corpse, forming bloody holes.

The gunfire alarmed the entire camp, causing everyone to surround the surgical vehicle.

Meanwhile, none paid attention to the dozens of soldiers asleep on the ground.

Bang bang bang!!!

Another round of intense gunfire ensued.

But the shooting came from the perimeter, as other infiltration team players attacked.

The drones and sentinels tasked with keeping watch perished in the first round of targeted fire.

The Europeans in this camp were not combat troops, with the sole battle squad drawn inside by the wheelchair, leading to the swift breach of the exterior defense.

When the corporal and the others responded, it was already late, as Shui Yue’s team charged into the camp, dominating the scene.

At this proximity, these people offered virtually no resistance before being swiftly subdued.
