Chapter 1381 - 645: Assassination Divine Position, Ice Glacier Kiss

The black-robed figure wearing a skull mask raised his hand to signal, causing something to ripple in the air above the Valley Secret Realm.

The Swift Hawk, which had been circling aimlessly, finally seemed to find its target, transforming into a black arrow as it swooped down from the sky.

At a distance of three meters from the black-robed figure, a flash of red Divine Light erupted from its body, transforming into a young assassin clad in a white hooded robe, with sleeve swords strapped to his wrists.

It was evident that besides the assassin profession of the Gladiator Sequence, he had also studied the Indigenous Forbidden Knowledge, the "Book of the Beast Kinship."

Upon landing gracefully, he immediately knelt on one knee before the black-robed figure, bowing his head deeply and presenting a commission letter adorned with a crimson sleeve sword with both hands:

"Master Assassin, an unidentified commissioner secretly tossed this task letter to our base.

Initially, because they didn’t follow the rules to pay a deposit, we planned to ignore it.

However, after inspecting the letter, we confirmed that it contained a Resentful Coin left behind by the first generation [Mountain Elder] Assassin 700 years ago.

The last appearance of the Resentful Coin was eighty years ago, and the elders at the base dare not make the decision lightly.

We can only seek your instruction on how this should be handled."

The black-robed figure addressed as Master Assassin was indeed the current generation’s [Mountain Elder], and the leader of all Eagles’ Nest Assassins.

Instinctively, he pinched the envelope with his gloved fingers, and the acute senses bestowed by his Fifth Order Legendary Assassin profession allowed him to instantly discern the contents of the envelope.

Even the material, weight, and engravings on the coin were crystal clear to him.

"It really is a Resentful Coin!"

His body shook suddenly.

After confirming there were no witchcraft traps, he swiftly opened the wax seal, which bore no insignia marks, and poured out a radiant Gold Coin.

It was unlike any coin in circulation in any country.

The front depicted an eagle clutching a blood-dripping sleeve sword, while the back was encircled by an inscription:

"Ask only for the purpose, use any means necessary!"

The [Mountain Elder] rubbed the coin, his sharp gaze slightly lost in thought.

"Back then, the first generation ancestor distributed a total of seven Resentful Coins, representing the Assassin Sect’s golden, eternal promise. Each coin could compel the Assassins to complete an assassination task unconditionally.

Over the past 700 years, we have reclaimed them one by one using sleeve swords.

This is the last coin, and for seven centuries, our Holy Spirit Sect’s Assassin Sect has finally gathered them once more.

We just need to complete this final task to fulfill...the ritual!"

Everyone knows that since the Creator’s Church emerged, it has always been fractured.

With the birth of the Holy Son, the "Creator’s Church" first separated itself from the "[Holy Father]’s Remit Sect," becoming independent.

They quickly dominated the religious system of the Old Continent and reached their peak in the fourth century, when the continent’s East Coast was dotted with church nations.

Subsequently, the Creator’s Church followed the "Oracle" and assisted the [Bound Creator] in controlling the floods, initiating a millennia-long dark era along the East Coast.

Later, roughly around the seventh century of the Silver Era, a [Church Founder] on the West Coast named Casim received "Divine Inspiration" and established the "Holy Spirit Sect" alongside the Remit Sect and the Creator’s Church.

One primarily worships the [Holy Father], another the [Holy Son], and the last the [Holy Spirit]. Together they established that the three sects originally belonged to one family.

However, after the death of this [Church Founder], the Holy Spirit Sect immediately split into the "Orthodox Way Faction" and the "Followers Faction."

The schism between them primarily stemmed from the succession of the Imam (leader).

The Orthodox Way Faction believes religious leaders should be democratically elected and not hereditary. This faction is the most influential, and the Star Moon Empire on the West Coast belongs to this faction.

While the Followers Faction believes leadership should be inherited by the [Church Founder]’s descendants.

This difference has led to not only variations in religious rituals and beliefs but also mutual hostility and vendettas. The internal animosity is deeper than that of the Crusaders who launched nine attacks!

Then, as the sects evolved, both major factions continued to splinter.

Until today, there are hundreds of sects, including the Kaisani Sect, Zaidi Sect, Isma’ili Sect, Twelve Imams Sect, among others.

The Assassin Sect is one among the sub-branches under the "Nizaris" of the "Seven Imams Sect" beneath the "Followers Faction."

Though it feels like there isn’t enough room here for so many sects, the reality is that, like the endlessly disintegrating Creator, the fracturing is never-ending!

The Assassin Sect as a professional killer and terrorist organization within a religious order was founded 700 years ago by the first generation [Mountain Elder] Hassan Sabah.

Since then, this fearsome "title" has been passed down within the Assassin Sect.

Each generation’s [Mountain Elder] is a descendant of Hassan’s bloodline, bearing the Fifth Order Legendary profession, yet no one knows their true identity or even their real name.

It was also the first generation Mountain Elder who crafted seven Resentful Coins, as proof of the Assassin Sect’s commitment to complete a mission at any cost, gifting each to a friend or allied force that had greatly aided him.

Over the lengthy span of 700 years, six have been slowly recovered by successors, and the Assassin Sect’s [Eagles’ Nest Assassins] completed six earth-shattering assassination tasks across the continent at great cost.
