Aqua

After taking a short break to have breakfast, I skip my usual morning jobs and begin taking a look at my inbox. But not even a minute into my search through it, I end up being interrupted by a call.

I frown when I realize it’s from one of the Guildmasters.

What do they want?

I hesitate for a moment before answering the call. Just wondering if they’re going to complain about my owning the planet or something.

Instead of complaining about my rule or even mentioning it, though, the Guildmaster immediately requests my help as they exclaim, “Oh, great! You’re awake! Please, the guild needs your help! The biggest migration we’ve ever seen is moving in a straight line towards the Hunter’s City in the Fortal Ocean!”

A migration? And a large one at that.

I open my mouth to say something, only to pause when a thought comes to mind.

Huh. Maybe…

A grin spreads across my face.

Yeah, this should work. I can use this migration as a way to test my new Abyssal Lord.

“I’ll be there soon,” I answer before asking, “Where’s the migration currently at?”

Their answer shocks me. Because it is practically about to arrive at their Hunter’s City.

Oh. They really are in an emergency.

“Understood,” I tell them before hanging up the call, getting ready for battle, and leaving my base with my Abyssal Lord swimming alongside me. But after a brief swim, I realize I won’t get there on time at this speed.

So I transform into my Abyssal Kraken form to move significantly faster. With my Abyssal Lord transforming into his Azure Dragon form as well. And thanks to that, we arrive at the Hunter’s City in time to see the migration slamming into the city’s barrier.

What surprises me is the sight of the tens or even hundreds of thousands of hunters all around the areas.

Did all of the hunters and soldiers who were around the Dark Ocean just move over here or something? That would make sense.

I slow down before both Vir and I transform back into our normal forms. Then I focus on the monsters and identify them while crossing my arms.

[Killer Shark – Level 331]

[Dark Slayer – Level 481]

[Darkfin – Level 500]

[The Whispering Deep – Level 502]

[Umbral Leviathan – Level 491]

[Dark Marauder of the Deep – Level 541]

[Voidfin Behemoth – Level 499]

[Dark Marauder of the Deep – Level 552]

Okay, the names on these monsters make it pretty obvious where they’re coming from. It’s a migration from the Dark Ocean now that their little ruler is dead.

I’m just curious about where they’ve all been hiding.

A case of theft: this story is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.

Anyway, the monsters are absolutely slaughtering the hunters and soldiers with ease. Which makes sense since the monsters are all at least one or two hundred levels above them.

And that’s too big a gulf for these natives to overcome.

Something tells me that the Azure Dragon Bloodliner would’ve become some tyrant ruling over this planet if I wasn’t here. Since he had such a significant lead in levels over everyone else.

I tap my finger on my arm as I order, “Vir, deal with the monsters.”

“As you command, Ruler,” Vir declares before rushing forwards as I summon tens of thousands of abyssal servants around us. With a lot of them being Dark Marauders, along with the Dark Lord.

Then I sit back and watch what happens.

And it doesn’t take long for me to feel surprised at the sight of Vir actually taking command of the abyssal servants and controlling them.

This will be fun.

The Hunter’s City of the Fortal Ocean

Moments before Aqua’s arrival

Valek Neremius, the Guildmaster of the Fortal Ocean, feels genuine terror as he watches the greatest hunters and soldiers of Oceana being slaughtered by the migration of monsters. And he’s not the only one as the other Guildmasters of each of the other Hunter Guild Branches around the world watch in silent terror as well.

Even after they gathered every last force that was surrounding the Dark Ocean, they’re still being crushed by the force of the monsters of the Dark Ocean. Each of which flooded out of the ocean after the Dark Lord was slain.

And to make matters worse, more forces began to flood out of the Viridian Ocean following the clan leader’s loss to the outsider. With these monsters joining the migration as well.

A lot of the citizens in the city have already given up on life. Having decided that there’s no way to survive.

After all, the migration isn’t just coming from one direction. So anyone who flees has been killed even faster than the ones defending or still in the city.

Valek can’t help but wonder when it all went wrong.

If it was a bad idea to send the outsider to the Dark Ocean to fight against the Dark Lord. Or if it was all set in stone from the beginning.

Something tells him the latter is the case, since the monsters wouldn’t just vanish if the Dark Lord wasn’t killed. In fact, the Dark Lord would’ve been with them in the migration. Making it significantly worse.

No matter how he thinks about it, he can’t find anything to hold against the outsider despite her not being from their planet.

So the only thing he can do now is hope she arrives quickly. But even that he isn’t certain of since he saw what shape she was in when the strange servant made from the clan leader took her away.

No matter how quickly she regenerates, no one can recover from that much damage in such little time…

The main reason he called for help was on the off chance that she might be able to send that servant of hers.

Valek lets out a sigh as the barrier shatters from the migration’s attacks. Leaving him staring up at the swarm of monsters including but not limited to large squids, sharks, humanoid monsters of darkness, and more. So many monsters, each of which are terrifying, and each of which are far too powerful for them to fight.

But right when the monsters are preparing to destroy the city and push ahead through their hunters and soldiers, an immense aura fills the area. Drawing the eye of everyone, including the monsters, to a location further away from the city.

Where Valek and everyone else sees a large monster turning into a young woman. One with deep blue hair and a single streak of white wearing a set of deep blue armor that has glowing pale blue lines running through it. She has glowing blue eyes and is holding a trident as she stands next to a servant made from the clan leader.

Unlike her other servants, however, this servant clearly has intelligence as he floats next to her side with his eyes glued to the monsters attacking their city with an entirely apathetic indifference in those eyes.

Silence fills the ocean around them with the only exception being growls and other sounds from the monsters, along with the occasional scream of pain or terror from the humans. Then a massive swarm of creatures made out of abyssal energy form around the outsider and the clan leader’s servant form.

And despite the distance between them, Valek hears the outsider quietly declare, “Vir, deal with the monsters.”

Then, just like how he felt when he first heard this servant speaking, Valek feels a shiver run down his spine as he hears him answer, “As you command, Ruler.”

But the sight he sees after that genuinely terrifies him far more than anything he’s seen from the outsider before now. And he’s sure the other Guildmasters and every human nearby feels the same.

At the sight of the servant form of the clan leader rushing straight towards the monster and slicing several of them in half with a sword made of water. All while leading tens of thousands of creatures made of abyssal energy to begin slaughtering the migration with ease.

Right here and now, Valek decides that he will never betray the outsider.

He and every other Guildmaster here unanimously agree on this one subject as they watch Aqua Azuranth floating with her arms crossed and with an indifferent look on her face at the sight of the migration being slaughtered.

They all agree that Aqua Azuranth is their new ruler.

With no objections whatsoever on this unspoken decision.
